I know we all hate veera b/c she is so easy to manipulate, has no respect for people she thinks are poor, and of course and no value of relationship. I think the show has an opportunity to highlight the fact that people who get married at a vary young age, who has had no experience of life (the outside world), have not seen the ups and downs of life, learned how some people can be very fake etc.
Veera had been a pampered little princess, and her family didn't expect her to do anything or be anything in life. At least Kuldraj had to go through her mom's death, taking care of Prem, accepting a new mom, and relocating to a new country. Veera on the other hand had been spoilt. This I think created a narcissistic streak within her and therefore due to lack of expectation she has accomplished nothing but trouble and above all she expects everything given to her on a silver platter.
If Ekta uses her brains and turn the story line in a way that shows veera would have to struggle and learn the value of relationships, I think she can redeem herself.
