Hi Sidrah, Thanks for this effort u r taking on all our behalf to get the show back on its track! My helplessness seems a little abated after reading ur post. I am sure so many of the members have put up some very nice scenarios or guidelines for the creatives to ponder on them. I don't know how they will incorporate them in the story thus maintaining a consistency with the current storyline or if they can't then maybe we will just ignore so far as simple bloopers like we did for the last 6 months after Prem was introduced as faking his memory loss. Anyway I will just try to jot down what we want to see & don't want to & maybe some guidelines along the way.
I don't want to see any KIDS at this stage of their relationship. Prem & Heer need to enjoy themselves & know & understand each other more instead of bringing a kid so soon. I know they r Premeer & each knows the other from their heart but still they have some misunderstandings now & then as we keep seeing. So all this can be sorted out in these initial years of their marriage. They r just too young to be parents now & definitely no LEAPS in their relationship for the time being.
Never ever I want to see Prem's character tampered in any way. We want to see that same old Prem with that same old strength, that upright Prem, that intense, deep, passionate, serious, loving Prem who never doubted Heer's judgement until now. We have seen enough glorifying of female leads who r always on the right & suffers in the hands of her loved ones & keeps shedding tears! Really I am pushed to boredom watching this innumerably. For a change we had a strong male lead who was correct & right in every respect & bore the burden of the show on his shoulders with the strong unwavering support of Heer behind him. That is why I fell in love with the show. Can u please retain this all throughout the show as long as it lasts? Thanks.
Please retain the essence & soul of the characters as we had seen in the beginning of the show. Now the characters have changed so much sometimes I find it difficult to relate or associate with the characters. Sometimes it just seems like we r watching 2 different shows with same name & faces, that's all. And I mean for both Prem & Heer here. They r more experienced & mature but the original basic characteristics shouldn't be transformed in any way or else the basics of Prem & Heer gets lost & we feel absolutely desolate!
I don't want to see Heer as another Tulsi, Parvati or Prerna. I want to see that serious, sincere, shy, docile, reserve, loving Heer with whom I fell in love with. For once I will overlook my feminist bone & will welcome it to take a backseat. Sometimes seeing this over worldly, all knowing Heer with some added attitude makes me squirm in my seat wondering who this girl is, is it that same girl from the village of Ambala who had led a sheltered life all throughout & was so docile & shy that I fell in love with her in an instant with her innocence & naivete!! An ardent request please maintain consistency in the characters & storyline at all times.
All along we have been shown & told time without number that Prem-Heer r one & that is the crux of this show so far & now we r shown just the opposite. What fate, destiny & death couldn't do 2 mere vamps have achieved to & this is simply ridiculous. I till the end of the show want to see this theme maintained.
We r ready to see both Prem & Heer facing problems from the family & solving it together but not get separated which is unthinkable & simply goes against every thing u have portrayed so far in the show for the last 1 year. A couple faces a lot of problems in marital life, they go through lots of ups & downs but they face all this together & not fall apart. If u can maintain some normal traits in the story which we can relate to from our daily lives then it brings a wonderful flavour in the storyline.
There can be family problems that will be shown but for that they don't need to be separated. U can show them like last year being thrown out of the house & they going to live in a small haven of their own. I would love to see it provided they r happy & not miserable. And I don't want this period to be rushed by any means. I felt all the good times everytime is always rushed be it their courtship days of unspoken love through their eye-contacts or their sudden confession, be it the good times in their small house, the memory loss track of Heer which could have been followed to show some golden moments of their love! Only the tormenting moments seems to be endless.
I also want to see the track of Preet & Meher to progress, would love to see their romance blossom from the bud. After the emotional roller coaster it would be a pleasure to witness some light moments.
This show has been unique in many ways & I will be ever grateful to the Late Garry Bhinder & the ex-creative head Vikas Goopta for this. We have seen many golden moments between our Prem & Heer & somehow I miss those old magic tremendously, can we experience them again in a similar situation re-invented? I loved those eye contacts which I miss a lot now.
Also this overwhelming presence of the vamps in the show who seems to hog almost half the show now is very disturbing to watch. It creates a negative mood. I am not saying they shouldn't be shown but in comparison these moods r so overtly prevalent to the lighter moments or happy situations. I am not only talking about Prem-Heer but even I enjoy the happy situations of the family in general in a simple scene as in on the dinning table all the members enjoying chitchatting. The vamps r given too much importance & we tend to lose the focus as to who the protagonists of the show r, Prem-Heer or Veera-Maya or Rishabh Rampal or Daljeet for that instance. The show ought to be balanced. It looks very illogical to see the omnipotency of these vamps who does the exact thing at the exact moment extracting the exact reactions from people around them. Its all very very unreal, almost uncanny!
I also want to see some repentance in case of Veera. Everytime she gets away doing all her evil deeds with her manipulative manoeuvres! For once I really want to see her hitting rock bottom & it will be wonderful to see it in the hands of Maya. Who she thought as her partner in crime just turns out to be her biggest tormentor. Let us see how Maya used her as a mere pawn for her goal in destroying the Junejas. Realising this she can grovel as much as she wants in front of her parents or for that matter to Nihaal & that will be one pleasing scenario I will wait to watch.
Junejas always expects from Prem & Heer but never give back in that sense of the word. They r selfish at times, they didn't even bother to ask about Prem's whereabouts when he came back after his 'supposed' demise & that was very heart breaking to watch. Can we see some repentance on the part of the family for misunderstanding Prem & Heer all the time, how they r always put on the pedestal for sacrifices! I want them to reciprocate their love in a warm way to Prem-Heer. Let Prem & Heer leave Juneja house & then the family can realise their worth specially Gayatri. And how desperate they become to get them back to keep the family all under that 1 umbrella. Everyone learning a bitter lesson in the hands of Maya & thus realised the importance of Prem & Heer & how they thrive to welcome them back.
Gayatri can call Prem her 'sautela' beta thus putting in the last nail in the coffin for Prem which will be the ultimate cause for their leaving the Juneja house together. This way the oneness of Prem & Heer can be maintained.
In short we always would want to see them as one & never separated or broken apart in any way! Please adhere to this. We have seen enough tears & now we would like to see some smiles for a change but in that Prem-Heerish style of the past.
And always we see Heer's pain super personified, for a change can we also witness Prem's side of the story? Usually his story is summed up in 2 episodes or 2 minutes. For the past 6 months we saw Heer dying every moment but what about Prem? He too suffered in the hands of fate & yet his pain was not even remotely touched by the creatives. We were cheated from sharing his pain & miseries. So an equal footing ought to be established & equal footage ought to be bestowed on both.
We still watch the show because of the lead couple & their onscreen chemistry & for the past uniqueness of the show so far. Please maintain these features for us so that we can reciprocate our love & loyalty to it as well. At present we r ready to throw in the towel for the show, I for one never want to experience such feeling. So penned down my thoughts, wants & requests. So please creatives take note of all the guidelines & requirements & wishes of us viewers to keep the show rocking like always.
Thanks from the bottom of my heart for giving me an opportunity to voice my feelings.
Sidrah once again thank u for taking this initiative. Genuinely am grateful to u.
