NASEEB vs BADNASEEB 7. 6
As The Pope prepares herself for her trip to Sydney (I know, the Pope in Sydney?!), I shall take over for the puja today! Man, it feels good to have the reigns! 😃😆
The Divine Pair of Smiles truly blessed us this week, with many Meet scenes and a slow progression of their relationship, which, in my (very biased) opinion, was the sweetest thing ever.
We started the week with (god) Preet and (goddess) Meher plotting to get Prem and Heer back together. Meher first called Heer and tried to make Prem realize that he missed Heer with the whole button thing. (Bad phrasing, sorry!) Of course, that kind of, sort of backfired when Prem told Meher that he would take care of it himself, teasing her in the process. Nonetheless, for their first attempt, it was just so cute.
The next day (or night in Jzoo time), we saw the power that each of them have to make the other smile. While it is usually (god) Preet who makes everyone else smile, that day, he was sad, and so the (goddess) Meher took it upon her to make him smile. And oh, my, what a smile!
Doesn't it just make you go 'awwww!'?
Unfortunately for us, Wednesday was rather…barren…And so on to Thursday!
Thursday marked a milestone in the relationship between (god) Preet and (goddess) Meher. (god) Preet put on an act in front of Prem, showing him begging Meher for forgiveness, which she was rather willingly a part of.
And then and then and then! He kissed her cheek! ☺️
And then the very next day (again, Jzoo time!), they put on a rather amazing act, where Meher left the house after an 'argument' with Preet. That marked the (temporary) end of together-Meher-Preet scenes, but it by no means marked the end of Meher-Preet! Preet and Meher were successful in making Prem and Heer realize what they were doing, though Prem's love for Gayatri won over anyway. (Let's not taint the Temporary Temporary Temple with mentions of Prem.)
The 'angry young man' emerged for a while (even if it was just an act!). And we cannot forget that he so totally told Gayatri off!
The next day, Meher was looking simply gorgeous in her blue and white patiala.
So we saw how a kiss from Preet made Meher as happy as a contented kitty. The next day we saw how a simple text message was enough to light up our (god) Preet's face.
He must really miss her! And he did indeed miss her, keeping her on the phone just to hear her voice. And she was just as happy to hear him.
For our Prasad this week, we have mini chocolate cupcakes, as well as these two pictures to leave you eagerly awaiting Monday's Meet scenes. I hope you enjoyed this!
A special thankyou to both Nandini and Khushi for the amazing screen caps! (:
Love,
The Handmaiden (:
P.S. Ohmygosh. This job is the best one ever, although it would be best-er if I got paid for drooling…I mean, scouring for photos of the (god) and (goddess)!
Meet - the Highlights (10/5)
Oh, my, what a week it's been for us Meet 'shippers! Here we are, wondering when Preet and Meher's relationship is going to turn into something more, and there they are, flirting all over the place! Have you seen anything sweeter?
Meet began the week with Meher looking absolutely gorgeous. Seriously. Props to Meher for finally dressing up like the bahu of a rich family. I mean it. Just look at her!
Okay anyway. Meet began the week by plotting to make Prem and Heer meet up at a club that you can only enter in pairs. They argued over the phone, pretending that they wanted a separation (but we all know ki humare pyaare Meet kabhi separate nahin ho sakte!), and they agree to meet at the Valentine's Club or whatever. (Weird place, seriously.) Preet reached the club first, and when Meher finally got there, we saw a HUG!
Then they chori-chori-chupke-chupke watched Prem and Heer dance, smiling at them like proud mother hens. And THEN they began fighting! Preet seemed to have deviated from his script, because after they exited the club (before Prem and Heer, of course!) Meher was all upset that Preet had gotten so carried away. Preet had to sweetly remind her that they were just acting so that they could bring Prem and Heer back together. They are so sweet, I'm pretty sure that by the time the show ends, I'll be diabetic. Not that I mind too much! - In the (tiny) car on the way back, Meher and Preet were just "awww"-ing at how Prem and Heer were sneaking each other looks. (They must have thought we weren't looking at them!)
how can anyone resist that smile?
exchanging secret smiles
Then began the 'Preet has another girl and he's taking her to Kasauli!' plan, which, IMO, is the best thing EVER because it led to such sweet scenes! First Preet scared Meher by appearing at her window (which I'm guessing was on the second floor or something?) with chips and soda and then he flirted with her.
While Prem and Heer braved the snow in their log house, Preet and Meher were freezing outside and Preet was complaining about how cold he was while Meher was quietly frantically trying to warm herself. PREETGAVEMEHERHISCOAT! How sweet was that? And I guess Meher was tired of him complaining or something, because she took his hands and started rubbing them to warm them up. (Meethandooh? We need a name, people!) Preet's expression there was so priceless. And at home on my nice warm couch, I melted into a pile of Handmaiden goop.
At some point or another, Preet fell asleep with his head on Meher's lap, and Meher used his coat as a blanket for him. I need a vocabulary that consists of words other than 'How sweet was that?'. But seriously, that so fits here. How sweet of Meher! Although the poor girl must have been freezing! Then more flirting! This, people, this cute flirting is one of the reasons why I love Meet so much!
And how happy were they when Gayatri (in her anger) agreed to let Heer stay in the house?
Lemme tell you: they were over the moon!
It's a good thing Prem and Heer left the log house when they did, because that meant that Preet and Meher could *finally* get warm! Which Preet did with countless cups of coffee. And IMO, the BEST part of the week was here: Preet kept insisting that they stay at the log house for a while, probably because he missed her, and Meher kept insisting that they would have nothing to do there. (Meher, he's asking you to stay with him - ALONE - in a house. Good grief, woman, just SAY YES! There are a ton of other fangirls out there who can say YES if you can't, so scooch over and let me take your place!!!...*ahem* Sorry.) Anyway, he cornered her against a wall and told her (sweetly) that he'd never seen anyone as bewakoof as her. Humari bechari Meher just stared after him, and then it was her turn to try and convince Preet to stay. (Finally woh maan gayi!...Hey, I made a pun!) Preet cornered her again and I melted again, feeling, for the first time, insanely jealous of Meher.

Hai! I am so glad we worship this divine pair, because they totally light up my day whenever they come on screen. And I wonder, will we be seeing a chota Preet ya a choti Meher wailing around the house in a few months? ;) Probably not, huh? Oh, Divine God and Goddess of Smiles, when will you confess to each other that you are truly, madly, deeply in love with each other? Seriously? Sigh. Well, until they do, for Prasad today we have mini cheesecakes (yes, I know, I'm awesome.) and a one-shot! Here's the link to Kaash Aap... Humare Hote by our very own, Flipper! https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/kis-desh-mein-hai-meraa-dil/1175346/kaash-aap-humare-hote-meet-one-shot She doesn't like the ending too much, but the Pope and I beg to differ.
Love,
The Handmaiden (:
Note from the Pope: I go away for a week, and we get one that is so Meet-filled! *sigh* Anywho, I was going through the caps to post (thanks Khushi!) and I found some that just needed to be posted. So lots of Prasad this week!
