I somehow think that Gaurav and his mom are linked to RR. RR wants to take badla and wants to put Prem and his family through misery.
When RR was introduced in the beginning, he had an assistant (forgot his name) and he asked him if he was a desh premi? a friend of India or something to that effect (I forget now - if I rewatch the episodes maybe I will remember). So, maybe he planted the bomb and Gaurav and his mom are also a set up?
As I write this it sounds so far-fetched. But then this serial has had such a convoluted story line that spans for months before the plots are revealed. IT is only idiots like us who sit and watch for months for the storyline to unfold . No wonder the TRP's are falling.
But then again, you maybe be right. Maybe the actor playing RR is not prepared to play such a side role (or does not have the time now) and has wanted out (good for us) and they have introduced the storyline you are talking about.
