Secondy, constructive criticism towards an actor is good, but outright maligning him by calling an actor calculating is so not justified and very uncalled for. I did not say he was calculating. Read his chat transcript. One thing that we do not know about him, is that he is calculating, That is what he said. It shows he thinks things out before doing it. I do not see anything wrong in it. Do you? He is an intelligent actor and he does his job with thought at all times. It is a tough industry to survive in
Thirdly, these actors goes out of their way, takes time out of a shoot for his fans to give them a byte and then we write such stuff for him...Boy, I think in this profession, whatever you do for others, people will still be ungrateful and unconsiderate...you cant keep peple happy no matter what...I think it is a two way process - fans enjoy to see how actors are outside of work and it is a way for actors to keep fans interested in them as people and not just characters on screen.
Misty, please read carefully what people are saying before unnecessarily jumping to an actor's defence.
If anything I think it is helpful for people to understand that the actors are doing their job of acting and that some of the things that fans notice are all part of the act. Wouldn't you agree? In fact during his chat that was one of the messages that HC was trying to convey; especially when he spoke about being calculating.
