*aaaaarrrrrgggghhh!!!* otherwise known as the episode-that-must-not-be-named! you named it! while i agree totally with the entry scene, i'm afraid that my eyes are refusing to read the stuff on the last segment. *even as i write this, the right (mathematical?) side of my brain is furiously fighting for control to prevent the left (romantic/imaginative) side of my brain to even think 'bout 6/19, segment 3. arghghghghghghghgh! i can feel the right side begin to falter... excuse me, while i go provide some support...*
Estee hope u got a strong hold over ur left side of ur brain by now because I am going to provoke it again to overcome the right side. π
This scene is kind of engraved in my memory all the more because we got to see something like this for the 1st time between them when they were alone & yet it was done superbly! No touching, ho hugging, no conversing & yet not only they were on fire but they managed to put us up on flames as well.
I just love the way he enters the room locates her & then slowly closes the door as if shutting the entire world out from his own little world. Then his backwalking her feeling all those that his eyes were portraying were definitely not PG-13 content for sure because the stuff it was conveying was making me go red from head to toe! Then his wiping his face with the towel & yet not for a moment did his eyes waiver from her face as if to say I know u r not immune to me, I have a complete hold over ur body as I do over ur mind & finally the nail in the coffin was that look he gave back at her when she said 'itni baarish mein'......that look was almost challenging her to face the consequences if he stayed back & yet a pleading look was also mingled in it as if asking her to imprison him in her arms at that precise moment.........just simply superb. The acting, the scene, the camera, the makeup, the lighting & the direction! It was mindblowing, I felt my throat all parched needing water then & there & yet unable to get up from my TV screen because my knees wouldn't support me & then felt the lack of oxygen in the room which made me hyperventilate!!! π And all this happened because we saw him drenched in rain, wearing a white shirt, backwalking her to a wall in dim blue light just to take a towel! And what happened to us? We were dumb, struck by thunderbolt, unable to think clearly for that entire weekend!
others - um... the soap suds scene - that was some prrrreeeety good eye conversations!!! heer persuading prem (using meher's voice) to drink his medicine. *sigh!!*
This scene doesn't come to the top of my list, though a mindboggling one, because we saw them swinging in each other's arms not 5cm apart & their eyes were roaming all the way down! π So they were almost hugging, cradling, holding, touching each other & I expect their minds were working overtime thinking of all the things they can do instead of wasting time on meaningless words. But nevertheless this scene again gave us something for the 1st time which we never even dreamt of ever seeing! Prem shirtless holding Heer in his arms & both checking each other out! π What can u ask for?
That medicine scene was also good, he was so mesmerised by her that he didn't even feel the bitterness of the medicine! Hmmm this is called love, blind love!
Hope now ur left side of ur brain has completely taken over? :-))
And I also think this was the last week of Garry Bhinder's direction alongwith Ravindra Gautam who used to assist him then. After this the track changed to more solemn one making Prem cry buckets & it must have been due to the change in the direction & scriptwriters. I think the assnt. scriptwriters were changed after this week. The following week saw the unfortunate demise of Bhinder.
Take care & all the best for ur upcoming exams. See you around & Happy Holidays!
Lana.
P.S - Will wait for this top 5 moments once u r back.
