i didn't know what to do for the forum this weekend. before the attacks on bombay, i'd wanted to do the next set of top five lists, the "ph-hand-ooh" (read "fundu") thread, a "bring back the court case" plea to the mnstr. for the last two days, i've not had the heart or brain to do anything. poor bombay, my poor city. and then i figured that i'd do my wtf. and this one is devoted to bombay and her suffering this week. and if i don't get thrown out of the forum for it, i'll try to do the rest as well! (btw, today's interpretation of wtf comes from the right to choose and the right to personal freedom. today, what the wtf stands for is totally upto you.)

* wtf#0: the way that bombay grabs my heart and steals it away - like prem-heer do. bombay, her ways, her streets, her people are prem-heer. seriously.
i've been all over the place in india, and i have never understood why i get more charmed by this city than any other place in india. others give so much more to admire. delhi's chandni chowk and it's hustle-bustle makes you feel you're in the middle of a bollywood set. delhi's raisina hill with the most beautiful admistrative center in the whole world (i dare anyone to deny this) making the largest gulp in your throat with pride in your country. delhi's many mughal tombs making you feel you are in as holy a place as being surrounded by the himalayas and buddists monastries in ladakh, or the mecca masjid in hyderabad, or the superb temples of mysore, or the golden temple in amritsar, or the solemnness when you stand in the victoria memorial in calcutta, or the sweetness of being in the little temples in trivandrum. but bombay is where you feel like removing your chappals, throwing away your umbrella and jumping in the rain with your whole heart. where in a traffic jam, you get out and steer the traffic 'cause it's your family. where it's natural to sit down on the same sea-side wall and eat roasted corn rubbing elbows with a family of eight on one side of you, and a posh couple drinking coke on the other side of you. what's common is that none of you have a care in the world.

'cause bombay makes you feel ... just right. not a smidgeon of dark, bad, wrong, unright. just like the feeling of watching prem-heer. that they're just ... right.

edit add: read lana (lghosh) comments and put this in
('cause she is right -- what i wrote above is my feelings for bombay. this is what actually happened to my poor city.)
*wtf#1: in what has happened to bombay, bombay, the south bombay hotels, the people who had to die because of this are like heer&meher. dirtchachi has plotted against heer from the beginning. sometimes, luck favoured dirtchachi -- like when balraj and teji maan both decide to sacrifice themselves and their children's life to the concept of living and dying together. just like an absurd stroke of luck for the terrorists when the three most capable people in the ats/bombay police force got killed at the very beginning of this whole episode -- primarily because of bad equipment and good luck for the terrorists! 😭 and sometimes, dirtchachi deliberately plotted to hurt them. but the effect is the same. misery and destruction. meher came out of it with no confidence in herself completely. both of them have spent hours feeling miserable and alone. and that is what has happened to bombay too. for the first time, people are shaken out of their "chalta-hai" attitude. they are scared. they are wary. they want more protection. but like heer's love for prem remained strong, i love that the people of bombay are not going out on a war against muslims or even against pakistan because of these attacks! they remain sensible. and true. go bombay. you are the best city in my world. you rock. and i hope this time your hope will give us a safer country, safer lives, more confidence and greater happiness because of what has happened. just like heer got her prem and dirtchachi lost. and heer will get her prem back after ratpal loses! *fiercely w&w-ing for this as much as for sensible anti-terrorists policies from the indian government!!!!*
edit end

* wtf#2: the moron snipers with their toys of destruction are like lalit juneja. they grab attention with nothing good to offer back at all. wtf! 😲

they are young and fit. they speak well and have skills. and yet, they ignore all that they have. they kill what they have. and worse, they kill what others have. with absolutely no point at all. just like lalit juneja. who has money. fame. the most wonderful family. and yet, he acts like a selfish brainless life-sucking, happiness-sucking ... creature! to absolutely no point at all.

y'know? i wondered whether the moron snipers should not be the same as veera. but then, i realised: when she wanted to grab attention, she chose to kill herself! veera is better than the moron snipers. never thought i'd ever see the day when i put veera above anyone else. but i have. as always, veera's true problem is that she is boring. sadly enough, evil can't be called 'boring'.

* wtf#3: the terrorists who planned this are like dirtchachi.

they collect their information from all kinds of places. the floor plans of the taj. maps of bombay from google earth. and they schemed to have maximum impact. the heads of these organisations are the true evil. the moron snipers are just the idiots who carry out their orders indirectly. like dirtchachi who explicitly went out to destroy the lives of her nieces. and she did it using the idiot lalit juneja to carry out her "plan". these terrorists just want to see other people unhappy. like dirtchachi who explicitly wanted to see heer-meher unhappy. what i can't figure is just... unlike dirtchachi who also ultimately wanted wealth, what do these poop-piles of evil morons want? 😭

* wtf#4: the mumbai police force are like ... kul-di and probably her husband. they have good intentions and want to help. but they are not equipped enough.

* wtf#5: the nsg commandos are like ..... prem! when they get going, they don't stop until they have won. 'cause they fight. and fight. and fight. like prem did.

* wtf#6: the people of the world who watched in horror, helplessly, are like gayatri-mom. *sigh*

* wtf#7: the newspeople/channels are like the director+camera-crew+editors at balaji telefilms/show-channels. they bring us the package of what is going on.

edited after reading everyone's comments -- luckyluv, smitha (sshekar), ashpush, lana (lghosh) -- that preet's not like the politician! so changed it to "government" instead -- 'kay?
* wtf#8: where does the government fit here? gee. they don't seem to have a role, do they? hmm. well, the state government calls the home ministry. and the home ministry call the nsg commandoes out to the field. so if the nsg commandoes defending the innocent and the weak are prem fighting to defend heer, then i guess the government is ... preet!!

the ministers in the government get to see all the alerts and warnings about dangers to the citizens of india from both inside and outside the borders. preet watched and found out about muckmeet from meher. he found out about dirtchachi from... ash? and when he finds out things, he plots and schemes and puts his plans into action - he doesn't do the rescue himself. when he found out about muckmeet, he told prem. and then, prem fought so that heer would be "saved"... the planning part of the "good guys" counterpart to the planning part of the "bad guys", ie, dirtchachi.
edit end

and with that, i think i'm done? did i miss anything? 😭

i hope that this was not too frivolous a wtf. i just know i couldn't ignore what a horrific week we have had back in india. but i also didn't want to do/say nothing. else, like everyone says - not participating in our everyday life and try to think and keep alive, but hiding away, being quiet and numb, is the same as letting those morons win. this is my otherwise helpless bit in not letting those poopheads win.

what do you think?

Glad tht u came up wid dis wtf.Even I am unable to think of other things.Everytime I use to switch thru diff entertainment channels. But after mumbai attacks I am glued to news channels getting updates, going thru different views of viewers, politicians comments and all.

* wtf#1: bombay grabs your heart and steals it away - like prem-heer do. bombay, her ways, her streets, her people are prem-heer. seriously.

I hav never been to mumbai. But I believe it has the same feeling as hyderabad(do u know this place where terrorists planted bombs which are common citizens most fav hang out points lumbini park, gokul chat lil back.I used to go there frequently for buying books and other stuff.Gokul chat is famous eatpoint).I luved ur comparison. Now I got to know how it wud feel to be in mumbai.

* wtf#2: the moron snipers with their toys of destruction are like lalit juneja. they grab attention with nothing good to offer back at all. wtf! 😲

yep veera at the least knew wht she is doing and for wht.But these ppl I dont know wht actually is their mission.wht demands wud they hav.If dissatisfied wid which government and which way r they dissatisfied.wht is their intention to scare ppl?to grab attention?wht r they going to get out of this?I wonder somehow terrorists aint they humans then how cum they cause such unforgivable harm to other humans.

they spend so much of time planning, gathering money for scheming just for harming others.Dirtcgachi did all tht planning atleast to get some benefit for her and her daughter.Terrorists they dont benefit in anyway frum this rather causing destruction.

* wtf#4: the mumbai police force are like ... kul-di and probably her husband. they have good intentions and want to help. but they are not equipped enough. hmm agree wid dis.mumbai police didnt hav proper equipment wid dem all they hav is their own lives to put in front of citizens protecting them.God bless their families who died fighting

* wtf#5: the nsg commandos are like ..... prem! when they get going, they don't stop until they have won. 'cause they fight. and fight. and fight. like prem did. wow again good comparison. All they wud do once they r in picture is fight, fight n fight

* wtf#6: the people of the world who watched in horror, helplessly, are like gayatri-mom. *sigh*
agree wht else to say

* wtf#7: the newspeople/channels are like the director+camera-crew+editors at balaji telefilms/show-channels. they bring us the package of what is going on. agree

* wtf#8: where do the politicians fit here? gee. they don't seem to have a role, do they? hmm. well, the politicians and the home ministry call the nsg commandoes out to the field. so if the nsg commandoes defending the innocent and the weak are prem fighting to defend heer, then i guess the government/politicians are ... preet!!I cant agree wid dis comparison much.I wud place preet above them.Preet is da one to react first but here politicians are the last to react.

the politicians get to see all the alerts and warnings about dangers to the citizens of india from both inside and outside the borders. preet watched and found out about muckmeet from meher. he found out about dirtchachi from... ash? and when he finds out things, he plots and schemes and puts his plans into action - he doesn't do the rescue himself. when he found out about muckmeet, he told prem. and then, prem fought so that heer would be "saved"... the planning part of the "good guys" counterpart to the planning part of the "bad guys", ie, dirtchachi.

and with that, i think i'm done? did i miss anything? 😭Unlike politicians who always fight for power rather than focusing on wht the situation demands preet never had selfish reasons.Dont you think Harman wud fit this comparison

i hope that this was not too frivolous a wtf. i just know i couldn't ignore what a horrific week we have had back in india. but i also didn't want to do/say nothing. else, like everyone says - not participating in our everyday life and try to think and keep alive, but hiding away, being quiet and numb, is the same as letting those morons win. this is my otherwise helpless bit in not letting those poopheads win.

Awww E!! I know...I have been glued to the TV when I can, watching the news...horrified at the devastation!! Thank you...we really needed this...this dedication to bombay's suffering....

i have been to a lot of places in India...courtesy my dad for he served in the indian army and as a result i had the real honor of seeing what my country is all about...from the peaks of the himalayas to the tips of kanyakumari and from the thar desert, all the way to arunachal pradesh...and literally everything in between.
somehow never been to bombay...a mistake that i will rectify, i promised myself...just to tell myself that i will not let a bunch of cowardly morons scare me!!
* wtf#2: the moron snipers with their toys of destruction are like lalit juneja. they grab attention with nothing good to offer back at all. wtf! 😲

aww...snipers = lalit??? wow...but kinda makes sense in a wierd way....😲

yeah yeah....totally agree! was it really all money that dirtchachi wanted...? money really meant fame and isn't this what these idiots want too?
and u know what, no dirtchachi can survive in the face of prem-heer intensity!! *smug*
w&w....good will prevail...it has to....it always does....😊
* wtf#4: the mumbai police force are like ... kul-di and probably her husband. they have good intentions and want to help. but they are not equipped enough.
sad...very sad, but true.....
* wtf#5: the nsg commandos are like ..... prem! when they get going, they don't stop until they have won. 'cause they fight. and fight. and fight. like prem did.
awww....the highest accolade....
yes i agree. as i mentioned above, since i have first had experience what these men in uniform give up for their country, i have nothing but the deepest respect and awe for them. they have families, lives away from their jobs, but always there when the motherland calls them....
* wtf#6: the people of the world who watched in horror, helplessly, are like gayatri-mom. *sigh*
i was one of them...horrified and feeling totally helpless!!

u know...i have to really disagree here. Preet always had good intentions towards everyone...never really selfish in the way the politicians have in the last couple days. i can quote instances where my blood has boiled over the total disregard for feelings of the people who have suffered.
the maharashtra home minister - "bade shehron mein ek aat hadsa ho jata hai"....wtf???
the maharashtra CM tags along Ram gopal verma to tour the devastation at Taj, and RGV claims that he is not very close with the CM. wtf??? what was he doing on the"tour"....aaaagggghhhhh!
somehow, i'd never see preet as blaise as this....wud u?
the politicians get to see all the alerts and warnings about dangers to the citizens of india from both inside and outside the borders. preet watched and found out about muckmeet from meher. he found out about dirtchachi from... ash? and when he finds out things, he plots and schemes and puts his plans into action - he doesn't do the rescue himself. when he found out about muckmeet, he told prem. and then, prem fought so that heer would be "saved"... the planning part of the "good guys" counterpart to the planning part of the "bad guys", ie, dirtchachi.

'cause bombay makes you feel ... just right. not a smidgeon of dark, bad, wrong, unright. just like the feeling of watching prem-heer. that they're just ... right. Even though i live in india, ive never been to mumbai...so dont know much other than wat we read about it n watch in tv about it..

* wtf#2: the moron snipers with their toys of destruction are like lalit juneja. they grab attention with nothing good to offer back at all. wtf! 😲
Yeah thaey df are like Lallu😡..even though, wen i see wat they have done, it makes Lallu look like an angel...These people are🤬..
they are young and fit. they speak well and have skills. and yet, they ignore all that they have. they kill what they have. and worse, they kill what others have. with absolutely no point at all. just like lalit juneja. who has money. fame. the most wonderful family. and yet, he acts like a selfish brainless life-sucking, happiness-sucking ... creature! to absolutely no point at all.Wen i watched the camera takes of the terrorists, i was so shocked to see so young, fit "normal-looking" boys...hey looked just looked like the us all, in cargos and sweatshirts and rucksacks-only difference-they carried an AK-47...There was especially on take of a terrorist holding the AK-47 in some direction..And the 1st thing that came to my mind seeing that was-evil..it really looked like he was grinning evilly...laughing at the destruction he was inflicting..i shudder to think about it..

y'know? i wondered whether the moron snipers should not be the same as veera. but then, i realised: when she wanted to grab attention, she chose to kill herself! veera is better than the moron snipers. never thought i'd ever see the day when i put veera above anyone else. but i have. as always, veera's true problem is that she is boring. sadly enough, evil can't be called 'boring'. * wtf#4: the mumbai police force are like ... kul-di and probably her husband. they have good intentions and want to help. but they are not equipped enough. I feel sad for them, and also, proud of them..Its sad that they are not well equipped for this kind of operations..Hemant Karkare died only because the jacket he wore was not good enough..their AK-47s could easily inflict damage on him😭..

* wtf#5: the nsg commandos are like ..... prem! when they get going, they don't stop until they have won. 'cause they fight. and fight. and fight. like prem did. The nsg commandos are ther heroes of the fight..The are PREM..They have fought and fought until they save mumbai..and some liks sandeep unnikrishnan have fought and fought till they die😭

* wtf#6: the people of the world who watched in horror, helplessly, are like gayatri-mom. *sigh*Yeah it was sad that u could do nothing...nothing at all...Wat we ARE doing now is sending smses asking where Raj Thackeray is and all...

* wtf#7: the newspeople/channels are like the director+camera-crew+editors at balaji telefilms/show-channels. they bring us the package of what is going on. Although i agree with u, we should also thank them for giving us continuos updates on what is going on..They dint sleep and they continuously stood there at the place of the ongoing operations, knowing that even they could be attacked(and 1 media person was attacked)..and gave us the news...Even though i watched some of them asking stupid questions to the relatives like how do you feel..seriously! dont they have any sense? is this wat they should ask?😡

* wtf#8: where do the politicians fit here? gee. they don't seem to have a role, do they? hmm. well, the politicians and the home ministry call the nsg commandoes out to the field. so if the nsg commandoes defending the innocent and the weak are prem fighting to defend heer, then i guess the government/politicians are ... preet!!

Hey dont compare the politicians with preet..preet is sweet..but the politicians, they 🤬(atleast some of them)..What were they doing? They were playing politics with this issue..😡..And Advani and the PM dint even go to mumbai 2gether..they should have come together atleast in this time of crisis..

and with that, i think i'm done? did i miss anything? 😭

i hope that this was not too frivolous a wtf. i just know i couldn't ignore what a horrific week we have had back in india. but i also didn't want to do/say nothing. else, like everyone says - not participating in our everyday life and try to think and keep alive, but hiding away, being quiet and numb, is the same as letting those morons win. this is my otherwise helpless bit in not letting those poopheads win. This was the perfect topic for today's wtf, estee..thanx so much for coming up with this(hope i dint become too heated up while commenting)

what do you think?

Hello Estee,
I am a silent reader & never posted before to ur messages but today I felt compelled to write. After what all was shown in TV all our hearts went out to those innocent people who had no notion of what was going to befall them on that ominous day!
They left their homes in the morning thinking they will return in the evening to their loved ones & yet the ones who perished never even got to fulfill that wish of theirs! Tourists who went to admire India with its culture, heritage & welcoming nature felt the need to leave it as soon as possible!
This is an outrage, an inhuman evil force which should be wiped away for good from this face of earth to let the PEACE prevail all around us.
I know its easier said than done but somehow one day I hope this wish of ours will come true, we will see these vicious, wicked, sinful, harmful group to perish for good & the righteous & the virtuous to flourish & prosper for eternity!
I was in Bombay for 10 months when I was in India & it was one of my best times of life, just loved the entire lifestyle out there. People were so focused, so ready to live, busy, punctual, lively, filmy, flamboyant.....all in a positive way & I felt if ever I went back to India I will settle in Bombay! Enough of stoic & resolute attitude of Bombay has been said & everyone will harp on that innumerable times but what they went through can't be erased. New good memories will be built again on those scars that we saw but we know Bombay will thrive back with great force & life.
Now as to your comparisons I agree wholeheartedly except for the politicians part where I agree with Smita. Preet I consier is wayyyyy better than these 2 faced politicians who always looks forward to their own gains before doing or saying anything. Preet on the other hand as far as his brother & family is concerned is absolutely unselfish & magnanimous! So I will give Preet a much higher designation.
And want to add u left out Heer here who I can only compare to Bombay itself! She suffered in hands of Daljeet like Bombay did in hands of these wicked reprobates. Like Heer was saved by her knight in shining armor Prem, so was Bombay by these heroic life savior, the NSG commnados! Later on after Prem saves Heer she again breathes normally with love in her heart & so will Bombay after all this trauma is over.
I am so fond of ur BTLT & ur wtf & make it a point not to miss it ever! But never responded earlier but today's topic & this situation forced me to write.
Thanks for this topic once again! We all wish & pray for the Mumbaikars to face life with double the force & passion than ever before.
Lana.

yes, this is a strange new definition of addictive -- this we really have to know about in a totally different way from anything before, no? *sigh* at least, that's how it feels like to me.

Now I got to know how it wud feel to be in mumbai.

oh, i know lumbini park!!! they planted bombs there??? how horribly low can they stoop? 'cause i know what a beautiful place it is, and how it is always sooo full of children and families! how horrible these people are.

how horribly easy it is to destroy. and how horribly difficult to create. gosh, i feel sick at the thought of bombs in lumbini park...

* wtf#2: the moron snipers with their toys of destruction are like lalit juneja.

yep veera at the least knew wht she is doing and for wht.But these ppl I dont know wht actually is their mission.wht demands wud they hav.If dissatisfied wid which government and which way r they dissatisfied.wht is their intention to scare ppl?to grab attention?wht r they going to get out of this?I wonder somehow terrorists aint they humans then how cum they cause such unforgivable harm to other humans.

i know. that's what i despised most about the bombay attacks -- they didn't really have any demands. it's like they just want to destroy people's happiness in the city and with the city and going there for visits or for business. it's like they just want to destroy bombay's chance at becoming part of the rest of the world.

* wtf#4: the mumbai police force are like ... kul-di and probably her husband.

hmm agree wid dis.mumbai police didnt hav proper equipment wid dem all they hav is their own lives to put in front of citizens protecting them.God bless their families who died fighting

ya, i guess there is a place for police (domestic crime) and a place for the army/nsg forces (international crime). all life is sooo precious, no?

* wtf#8: where do the politicians fit here?

I cant agree wid dis comparison much.I wud place preet above them.Preet is da one to react first but here politicians are the last to react.

*sigh* i knew that this would not be an easy thing. think of it this way: forget the politician. i guess i mean the govenrment. at the end of the day, someone has to call the army/nsg forces into solve a problem. they don't have the freedom to just actively come in themselves. the government has to order the army/nsg forces in. one of the criticisms that i've been hearing about the mh govt. is that they didn't bring the naval forces (which has commandos too) in soon enough. and they are just there! next to the taj!

for me, the analogy is between preet and the government (led by politicians, in general) - he is the one on the show who does the planning to take revenge or finding out who are the bad guys who want to hurt his pb. in that sense, i thought preet was the government. maybe i should change "politician" to "government"?

Unlike politicians who always fight for power rather than focusing on wht the situation demands preet never had selfish reasons.Dont you think Harman wud fit this comparison

harman has always been too reactionary. here, i seriously think the government has an active role -- they decide what action to take and order it. harman is just... well, more like a bystander. he never really starts anything himself, no? i dunno. he's nowhere like the rest of the gang above... not even gayatri-mom...

i have been to a lot of places in India...courtesy my dad for he served in the indian army and as a result i had the real honor of seeing what my country is all about...from the peaks of the himalayas to the tips of kanyakumari and from the thar desert, all the way to arunachal pradesh...and literally everything in between.
somehow never been to bombay...a mistake that i will rectify, i promised myself...just to tell myself that i will not let a bunch of cowardly morons scare me!!

wow, lucky you. i've been to a lot of places too, courtesy my mom and her research. but i've always thought army brats had the best of this deal. bombay - is probably a city to visit after you've grown up - like me! and i love it from the bottom of my heart. here's wishing that you will be able to visit one day. and that the taj is open again when you do!

* wtf#2: the moron snipers with their toys of destruction are like lalit juneja.
aww...snipers = lalit??? wow...but kinda makes sense in a wierd way....😲

yeah. only 'cause i do think that (like the snipers) he doesn't really think about all the destruction that he wreaks. someone else plots and he blindly stooopidly does. sometimes i think i despise these people more than the planners - how can they lose their humanity sooo much that they can watch life die without feeling the urge to stop themselves??? 😲🤢

* wtf#3: the terrorists who planned this are like dirtchachi.

yeah yeah....totally agree! was it really all money that dirtchachi wanted...? money really meant fame and isn't this what these idiots want too?

well, usually, terrorists have some demand -- to free up their colleagues. or a state in your country. or something. here, nothing real has come from these diarrhoea-heads, has it?

and u know what, no dirtchachi can survive in the face of prem-heer intensity!! *smug*
w&w....good will prevail...it has to....it always does....😊

*sigh* yeah. yeah it does. thank goodness. but like always, one wonders: does there always have to be a price to pay for it??!

btw, 🤗s to your dad. and ask him to pass it on. sometimes, i think that we take our armed forces a little too much for granted.

* wtf#5: the nsg commandos are like ..... prem!
awww....the highest accolade....
yes i agree. as i mentioned above, since i have first had experience what these men in uniform give up for their country, i have nothing but the deepest respect and awe for them. they have families, lives away from their jobs, but always there when the motherland calls them....

*sigh* i know. what really makes me feel awe is that ... i know that i just couldn't do it myself! either go through that kind of disciplined thinking. or (on the part of their families) the acceptance that must be there about how uncertain their loved ones life is! how do you do it??

* wtf#8: where do the politicians fit here?
u know...i have to really disagree here. Preet always had good intentions towards everyone...never really selfish in the way the politicians have in the last couple days. i can quote instances where my blood has boiled over the total disregard for feelings of the people who have suffered.
the maharashtra home minister - "bade shehron mein ek aat hadsa ho jata hai"....wtf???
the maharashtra CM tags along Ram gopal verma to tour the devastation at Taj, and RGV claims that he is not very close with the CM. wtf??? what was he doing on the"tour"....aaaagggghhhhh!
somehow, i'd never see preet as blaise as this....wud u?

hmmmm. i think i am going to change "politicians" to "government" even though i know that it's the politician who really calls the shots. i meant in the sense of preet being the one who (like the govt.) has to be constantly monitoring for the bad guys and then, taking action like ordering the armed forces/commandos (prem) to actually solve the problem. the forces by themselves, can't take the decision to charge from one firespot in the country to another. they need to be directed. that's where the govt. (preet) steps in? no?

and yes, the personalities of the ministers are .... pooop, to put it mildly. i've met some really cool ones and i can see the really disgusting ones. but we need them. i guess we just need to figure out to get better ones than the ones we have...

i think i said it all....thanks for this post!!

and thanks for the reply, you lucky army-brat you. 😆 isn't it amazing the number of things we end up w&w-ing for in life? prem on the show. prem kissing heer. heer kissing prem back. peace in the world. the day that you and i can get a cold coffee at the sea-lounge in the taj mahal hotel in bombay. 😍 isn't it wonderful *fiercely* that the diarrhoea-heads can't kill us w&w-ing for things?

prem-heer win. we win. the good guys win.

I've always been a silent reader of your posts but I want to say I'm really glad you posted this "wtf". I like how you compared every aspect of this horrible incident with something we know more of. For me it was good, because I've heard only so much about what was happening in India. I felt I couldn't hear or see about it on television lest I get sick and reading your wtf has given me a better understanding of how those hours might have been. I am sure I am not even close to understanding the horror and despair of those hours completely but I hope I'm a little closer than I was before.
I've never been to India, I'm not sure if I ever will, but from what I've read I feel it's safe to say it's in many ways very similar to Pakistan. Which is why it makes it all the more hard for me to understand the reason behind this ridiculous and heart breaking incident. I despise those people who used religion and politics as an excuse to kill so many innocent people.
But before I ramble on some more, I would just like to say "Good Job" for the post and I hope God gives all the victims and their families the strength and patience to survive this time of crisis and pain.
