Bye bye Aditya
It seems Aditya Narayan, singer Udit Narayan's son has grown too big for his boots. There have been several incidents in the recent past where he reportedly threw tantrums on the sets of a reality show he hosts. Now Aditya has done something that made a television channel, Star Plus, show him the door.
He had bagged a deal with them to host a segment of their dance-based reality show, Nach Baliye - 4. Later however, Aditya demanded double the amount. Aditya was immediately replaced with television actor Harshad Chopra of Kis Des Main Hain Mera Dil fame.
Aditya had agreed to anchor six episodes of Talaash-e-Baliye, a segment of Nach Baliye. Accourding to our source, "The deal finalised was for Rs 20 lakh. Aditya however had other plans in mind. Three weeks after he agreed to do the show, he informed Star Plus that he wanted Rs 40 lakh. Star Plus obviously did not appreciate such unprofessionalism and they roped in Harshad Chopra."
Aditya claims, "I am a professional. My remuneration was mutually agreed upon. Star Plus wanted to shoot on Mondays, but that's when I shoot for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. And let me also tell you, I agreed to do Talaash-e-Baliye for Rs 30 lakh and not Rs 20 lakh."
Anupama Mandloi, the Senior Creative Director of Star Plus, says, "We work within a certain framework. Aditya was asking for an amount which was higher than what we had in our budget for him. And yes, he did have date issues too."
