Hello everyone
I was at school and went to read the update for today's show (still can't bring myslef to watch any episode without prem and heer, even though I don't live in India and won't affect the ratings) . Anyway So I found out that for tomorrow's episode they will show prem's burnt face😡. At first like everyone else I had a massive breakdown and felt that all hope was lost but then I remembered something that always puts a smile on my face and thought I would share it with you guys.
So here it goes.............some of you might have heard me tell you this story regarding Prison Break and some of you might be aware of it living in North America but I NEED to Prove a POINT so please continue reading....
It all started with Michael (wentworth miller...drool) on Prison break and he needed to break out his brother from the prison. Along the way he meets the pretty prison doctor Sara and he needs to use her. Long story short he falls for her and doesnt realize it and they have enough chemistry to BURN down our tvs. Anyway point is the creatives had decided that they would kill sara's character off after the first season. Along the way however they realized that while 50% female audience watched the show to drool over wentworth (me inculded) more than 80% watched it for the romance between Michael and Sara. So next season low and behold sara was back. Now we come to the real part of the story. at the end of the second season stupid creatives decided they had taken sara's character as far as they could and decided to kill her off. Sarah the actress which played sara got pissed off and did not want to come back to do the death scene. SO the creatives made a head that looked like sara's...put it in abox..... and gifted it to michael from the bad guys to teach him a lesson....................................WELL
There was me sitting infront of the tv cursing it and I did what any sane shipper would do..I boycotted the show.........BUT I wasn't the only one.
Lots of girls quit the show. we felt that we had been cheated after investing in the show for 2 years..they left their romance incomplete.....
Protests and petitions were made
People boycotted the show
And ratings went down................and I believe the creatives got a lesson
They realized in the season that they had worked themselves into a corner and many people had left them....So next season sara was brought back....stuff was patched up with the actress
HOW did they explain the Head-in-the Box.....well according to them 'it was too dark in the room to tell really what happened" LOL.
Did people buy that crap? NO
Did people buy that crap? NO
but more importantly did people care about how sara came back? NO....we were just happy that she could be with michael and we all went back to the show......THE END
SO NOW ....u will ask what was the point of all this?
Incase u didn't get it ...I consider this the fan's victory over te creatives. I used this example from Hollywood because I don't watch a lot of Indian shows so i wouldn't know how stuff works in it.. (but can some one explain who this mihir guy is and why he was brought back?)
Anway what I am trying to say is
1)In hollywood usually these decisions when made are not easily reversed but even they had to bow down to the audience so then what is the big deal with Ekta? she can bow down easily.
2) In hollywood they try to for the most part make the plot as logical as they can but if they can say that the head was not recognizable bec it was dark......then Ekta can use any excuse for a burnt face...should not be that hard to do.....heck it looks like its pretty dark in the morgue.😉
3) No matter what reason they gave for sara as they can for prem..people don't care they were just happy that she was back. At this point we will take any thing too.
4) Michael and sara were not even the main concept of the show. Sara was a secondary character but people fell in love with her and michael so much that they had to bring her back. HERE harshad and additi ARE the show. They are PREM-HEER. the show is about them....so it makes much more sense for prem to come back.
5) For prison break a lot of the audience was also composed of males and still the ratings were affected and when the famale audiences turned away from the show. For a soap opera the major fan base is usually females...imagine how much more the ratings will be affected.
6) Sara the actress left bec she did not approve of her death and she and the production house were than on bad terms but still when the audience demanded the producers went and patched up things with sara and brought her back. Here HArshad has no probelm what so ever wanting to come back. He will do it in a heartbeat so its just a matter of THAT WOMAN😡 bringing him back.
7) IF the fans stay united then anything is possible bec remember there is a LOT more of us and a few of them. so we have to stay UNITED.
SO guys dont give up hope. Inshallah he will be back if we continue our efforts. My purpose was to show you that in the world of television anything is possible and fans rule SUPREME!
