I would so liked it better if Prem and Heer died together in lallu's dream, rather than Prem have loved someone before. It totally ruins the made-for-eachother concept.

strangely enough, i agree. i thought the prem-heer scenes of that day was the ultimate in terms of what made-for-each-other-and-only-each-other was all about. kinda defeatist, i know, 'cause i really think suicide is a rather cowardly way outta life. but for prem -- i couldn't imagine it was anything but the only thing to do! his lines about heer not being able to go on to heaven if he wasn't there with her... *brr* it still sends chills down my spine just thinking 'bout it... *sigh*

'kay, sounds cool. 😆 i'm lucky -- i hang around with too many smart people, who're constantly chatting 'bout this stuff. and when you hang around a sociologist mom and her pals, there's a whole lot of this stuff going around. kinda absorb these things, i guess.

Ahh i know! I guess that was the only un-perfect part about perfect prem. That really was the most pathetic reason not to get married to Heer. I mean if they got married then, that moment, we would'n't be having to wait now. 😃 Plus, Heer wouldn't have to go through those insults Lallu gave her, which i thought were just... horrid. The girl he called his daughter once...

Well, my excuse is that I must have missed those flashback episodes.. I read the updates hun, didn't watch the show.. And at least you only have a Prem-demon in the brain (right?), I have an Adi/Raunak one somewhere, as well as a Shaurya/Angad/Zaib/every-other-character-played-by-Iqbal-Khan one as well, plus sometimes the Preet one pops in to keep the Prem one company.. 🤣

theme of this weekend: prem's secret (but of course!)

1. how many of the juneja's know of the secret? gayatri-mom does. but i somehow get the feeling no-one else does. why? well, we know that the brothers juneja are close-knit. but when ratpal told prem that the show had <put in mr. rockstar's name> only prem reacted. well, i know that it was mr. i-don't-react-properly harman who was with prem then. but still.... there was no hint we got that anyone else knew of the close college friendship of prem and mr. rockstar. i found that weird. i mean, with me, my cousins from singapore know who are my college friends, damnit! close brothers who worship you not knowing your friends, is super-weird. imho, of course.

Seems like only Gayathri knows it...Before Heer, Prem used to confide only to Gayathri I guess..And since Preet is much younger than Prem ,chances of him knowing Prem's college friends are less...Imagine if Lallu knew about the secret and comes to know that its haunting Prem after soo many years, In order to help Prem in the situation he might make another announcement...

2. a favourite puzzle of mine: what happened to flashback prem's specs?! even the flashback with prem, presumably dressed for graduation day, had specs. and here we have current-day prem with nothing standing between us and his lovely dark eyes. what's the story? and is this linked to the secret?!

Probably its linked with the secret....Prem was a geek at school ..At college Sanajan helped him out and brought out the rockstar in him....Arghhh noooooooo I dont want to see and Prem-Sanjana flashbacks..😡

even the thought is disheartening....

put these two together and i get ... is this prem an imposter?? is the real prem juneja somewhere else, locked up in an asylum for whiners and becoming a better human being?? and it would certainly get rid of that inane sautela and asli debate for ever! 😆

(can you tell that i specialise in far-fetched theories? i'm soooo good at far-fetching things that even the balaji telefilms people shake their heads and say "never in a million years" at these. no wonder i never get predictions for any show right.... 😆)

3. this links back to another puzzle for me about prem during the little-house-with-heer days: what stopped him from marrying heer right then and there? he tells the world he loves her and then ... doesn't marry her? what was he waiting for? it can't have been that silly excuse of "want to be able to support you"?

Even after Heer confessing in the sweetest way that she cannot live a single moment without him and proposing to him and Gayathri giving him a deadline, what was he waiting for? ...

Ok probably in those days, he was actually concerned about his Bauji's consent .But now that he has lallu's consent and has Heer with him , why does he have to think of getting Veera married first...

He knows how badly he wants Heer , then why isnt he getting married to her... I told you this guy has lot of patience...Along with that I say he has high control on himself 😆

and remember, it was gayatri-mom who gave him the green light to propose to heer - and she is in on the secret. (hmmmmm! seeeeee?!! maybe my far-fetched theory ain't so far-fetched, eh?🤣 )

4. in the middle of all this, who/what is the girl? 'kay, this prem has never been in love with anyone - band-partner or no band-partner. i think heer's instincts are sound on this -- she really doesn't have a girl competing for prem. i mean, that would kill one of the earliest sweet-prem things: "how do you propose to a girl? how does this preet do it so easily, and that too without being in love? if he were at home, i'd have asked him." why would anyone do anything that would kill that prem-thing?? so - the girl is just a prop to the real secret.

Yeah for she was no ex-love interest of Prem...I think the secret has something to do with her death😕

5. on the positive side - from the moment prem stepped upon indian soil, he felt a tug to heer. so this-prem-heer are one - written in the stars, pre-ordained, forever-after and all that jazz. no escaping this.
in that case, who was that whining bespectacled boy in the flashbacks and why did we get to see so much of him? 😡 i want to know.

conclusion: prem and heer are one. they will be together. so what if her surname doesn't end up being juneja? that is why meher is there -- either harman or preet will be the one to eventually fulfil laluchacha's dreams of a solid relationship link between his family and balraj maan's family.

True...they will be together and I want her surname to be Juneja soooon......I have a feeling Preet might end up marrying Meher...After all Ballu deserves only the good Junejas as a part of his family...Ah so have tofind someone new for Nihaal...
