so prem is all see heer bauji is here take his blessings but heer is not in the mood to do that....she is at peace.....and then he carries her to bauji's feet and dumps her there....i didnt get this scene........sorry i know you all are sad but i found this scene strange.

you did? i thought it was inevitable. the moment laluchacha enters the scene, prem's whole being gets focussed on his having told his father he will bring heer to him. for forgiveness, for blessings. he's already in shock. he has slipped at this point into denial -- 'cause his brain has latched onto one piece of happiness that he has had.

poor prem, i thought today. one moment, he's deliriously happy that his father is willing to take heer and him back into his heart and his home. the next moment, he's staring at his beloved's dead face. i thought it was brilliant -- it was obvious that he'd become delusional.

and i thought it became clear when first, he runs to his father and asks him to "wait. she's just scared. she thinks you're angry at her.". next, he runs back to heer to persuade her that all's well and she can come to his father "he's forgiven me. he's forgiven us. look he's really not angry." it's there in the way he frantically looks back to check that his father is still there. and then, when he is not getting any response that he is expecting from heer -- for her to run to his father with him and accept his blessings with bowed head -- he lifts her physically to go to his father for his blessings.

he is completely delusional at this point. his entire "look heer, bauji's here to give us his blessings. go on! give him your hand! take his blessings!"

that scene was well written. hc delivered his lines superbly. and - wonder of wonders! - the background score rocked!
