Must say, today's epi was disappointing. Naaz didn't get caughtđĄ, there were no AA scenesđ, and Saniya's makeover was anything butđ¤˘. On the upside, the actors again did fantastic justice to their characters and there were some awesome dialogues. đ
Starting off with naaz and yasir⌠Nothing new. Naaz again played w/ yasir's emotions and trust and got away w/ her crime. This girl is an acting protge! If this drama was unfolding in real life, and naaz was an actual person (and I'm sure there are ppl like her) I would recommend them to take up acting. She is so convincing. Though, the fact that yasir is a bit dense helps as well. Naaz is lying to his face, and he can't even tell fact from fiction. Her stories and excuses are bogus; the only reason why her natak works in front of yasir is that that she emotionally blackmails him, and that bhudu succumbs to her every whim. Ghaaaaa! Tis so frustrating đĄđ¤˘
Nalia's motherly intuition is so sweet; the way she knows whenever her children are worried or tense. She's always hovering over her children. She's ready to fight the world for her children, she beautifully portrays that. Yasir and his mother had a lovely scene today in which she explains to him that a woman leaves everything behind when she gets married and has to create a new identity for herself in her sasural. It is necessary for her husband to always stand by her side b/c he is the one person who will always be w/ her though the thick and thin. A relationship lasts only as long as there's trust btw the two partners, and once that trust is broken and suspicion starts to take birth, that relationship becomes poisoned, and it becomes difficult to save that relationship. Nalia's words are so true and are applicable to any married couple. As a husband, yasir needs to have complete faith in his wife and not harp her about every little thing, (Now, if only naaz was the angelic being they all thought she is.) and the same applies to the wife.
I think nalia's words also foreshadow any obstacles and rifts that will occur in YN's lives. Yasir started suspecting naaz, and once the foundation of trust has been broken, it cannot be mended.đ Think about it this way, a vase slipped and shattered on the ground. You can repair it though time and effort, but, when you look closely, the cracks and unevenness is still present. Once the seeds of doubt have been sown in yasir's mind, he will suspect naaz over everything she does. When the time comes that she is telling the truth, no one will believe her because she has lied so much already.
Nandira phoophi, on the other hand, is similar, but different from nalia. She is the one person (aside from yasir and the hasan family) who worries about naaz's well-being. She knows the true naaz, and shows her the path on which she can fulfill all her khwaishaan. She is the one person naaz can depend on (in her present condition b/c she refuses to grow up).
I loved the line when nandira told naaz that it was b/c of weak men like yasir that women are able to rule over them! I was thinking, since when so you have someone to raaj over? Certainly none of the khans! đ
I'm somewhat disappointed in zareena's behavior. This is something I forgot to mention in yesterday's analysis. Forgive me for sounding indifferent or callous, but I think zareena should get over kabir's death. The whole khan family and afreen were just as devastated by his death.đ He was a brother, son, husband, friend, mentor, protector, etc., but the world doesn't end with the death of one person. Even afreen and azaan have moved on, and they were the two ppl closest to him. As I said before, I may sound harsh b/c I've never gone though the experience of losing someone really close to me. I don't know what that feels like (and I hope I don't find out for a long time) , but I don't think that I'd be so devastated that I would become a vegetable. I would be sad, and that pain will be w/ me for the rest of my life, but I have responsibilities to the other relations in my life. I can't stop living for one person, no matter how much I love them. Naaz, Azaan, Muzhaar, shahnewaaz, afreen, khala, nandira, chotie maa, everyone needs her. She loved kabir a lot, but these ppl love her and she loves them. She can't shirk from her duties as a wife, mother, sister, etc.
So sad, there were no AA scenes today. There was one scene where afreen keeps touching his face, which is the closest she has ever gotten to him, but other than that, it was pretty dry. It was heart breaking to see afreen running around trying to get a doc, but no one was willing to help her. She was so distraught over azaan's health. Her dialogues were that same as what any main character gives when they're trying to remind someone of their duty. But, I must say, the pain and worry etched across her face is remarkable. No matter what afreen says, she definitely deeply cares for azaan⌠more that a friend. đ
She traded her watch to pay the taxi driver. All of kabir's memories and gifts hold a special place in her heart. By replaying the scene when kabir gave her the watch and then showing that she trades in away shows that, although kabir's death will always pain her, she has moved forward in her life.đ Kabir has said that their hearts would always beat in unison, as the two watches do, and by afreen giving it away is a symbolic rep that her's and kabir's heart do not beat together anymore. I think this scene was shown now b/c, even right after kabir's death, afreen's heart still beat for him. She still cared and loved for him deeply. This watch is still ticking, which shows that kabir has his place in afreen's heart and memories, but he doesn't have a prominent hold over her anymore b/c this relationship is part of her past, and azaan is her present (and future).
The doc had mentioned that if azaan doesn't get better in 6 hrs, he will need to be admitted. I think this will come true, b/c this epi wasn't drastic enough to bring AA together (you know what I mean, like when one of the main is in an accident and then the other takes care of him/her?). Azaan had also mentioned in yesterday's epi that everything happens for a reason and b/c of Allah's command. Even Allah doesn't want AS to unite; it was always meant to be AA. Azaan is sick, severely so, b/c even Allah wants to thwart afreen's one-minded plan of setting fire to her own life.đ Also, if nandira phoophi finds out where AA are and informs saniya, there will need to be a change in location for AA so that she doesn't find them. Oh! I always did love a good game of hind-and-go-seek.đ
After getting the meds, afreen vows that she will take full care of azaan and make sure that he gets better. Hai!! So many strong emotions from afreen today. She doesn't need to say that she's falling for azaan. They both are, but the duffers don't know how to say it. Maybe they'll play another game of charades. ?????????????đ
LOL!!! Saniya's makeover can hardly be called that. I thought she would get a haircut, new makeup and whatnot⌠a totally new look, but she just sat there in bridal attire. Bechari chudail, waiting for her knight in shining armor, who will never come. đđđ
Enjoy ya'll!!!
Tahl
P.S. Just wanted to mention, that I thought it was a bit creepy when the doc rolled up his window and then rolled it back down even though afreen was standing right there. Doesn't someone usually do that when a character is walking away? đ Afreen kept staring at him w/ her tear-filled eyes!
