• Composer Sandeep Chowta, whose Rang Rang Mere, from Bollywood/Hollywood emerged a chartbuster, has discreetly written and directed this short film titled Dead End. "It's a hard-hitting docu-feature which tackles the abuse of drugs by casual users and the dangerous after-effects on them.

The cast includes Viva singers Anoushka and Mahua and model Gautam Nagarath," says Chowta who, having directed three music videos, is also working on a full-fledged thriller movie in which he plans to cast Sarika.

• With their girlfriends not being around, star-studs Ashmit Patel and Aryan Vaid looked lost after they were felicitated for their 'Outstanding Performances' in Murder and Market respectively. They were at the Suvidha Gaurav Award.

So was TV heartthrob Rajeev 'Sujal' Khandelwal who was overwhelmed when he was acknowledged as the Best Actor for his Star Plus serial Kahiin Toh Hoga. Other TV celebs who were honored included Nandini Singh and Nikkhil Arya (Kesar) and Tina Parakh, who plays Shruti in Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki.
