Update for Wednesday (10-19-05)

The girl's parents leave with the girl. Bua blames the Mallyas for this. Soumya tells her that she is falsely accusing them but Dadaji tells her that Bua is right and that they should give a name to Riya and Harman's relationship. He fixes their engagement on Dusshera.

Kadambari, Amma, and Anand move to their new house. Kad shows Amma her room. She, then, takes Anand to his room, which is completely empty. Anand tells her that she wouldn't last long in this house and that pretty soon he would expose her. Kad laughs at him.

Aseem takes Vikram to meet a bookie, who teaches him how to bet in a cricket match. Vikram wins Rs. 10,000 and is completely delighted.

Rudra leaves his cabin when the 'peon' hits him accidentally while talking to someone and tea spills on Rudra. Rudra shouts at him. The 'peon' tries to explain but one of the employees stops him. When Rudra goes in to wash off the stain, one of the employees tell the 'peon' not to argue with Rudra next time, as he is Harman's brother-in-law and if Harman finds out, he'd get kicked out of the office. The other employee says that this is the advantage of being the brother-in-law of a rich person. Rudra hears this and feels upset.

Riya informs Harman about their engagement and asks him to take her out for dinner. However, Harman is not too happy and speaks rudely to Riya. Riya feels bad and leaves from there. Harman tells himself that he shouldn't have behaved that way but he can't spoil Riya's life by marrying her when he doesn't love her.

Kesar sees Riya crying and asks her as to what the matter is. Riya tells her that she feels as if Harman doesn't want to marry her. She tells her what he did. Kesar tells her that she would speak to him.

Kesar is about to enter Harman's room when she hears him speaking to someone named Angela on the phone. He asks her to stop bothering him, as everything is over between them. He leaves his phone on the couch. When he leaves, Kesar picks his phone and copies the number of the lady he was speaking to. She, then, calls that lady and asks her about Harman.

At night, Dadaji asks Harman whether he is willing to get engaged with Riya on Dusshera. Harman says yes and also tells them that Riya is upset with him, as he refused to go out for dinner with her. He tells them that he refused, as he wanted all of them to have dinner together. Dadi tells Riya to forgive Harman and Riya does.

On the day of the engagement, Komal comments Pam on her jewelry. Bua, however, tells him that it must be fake, as they do not have much money to afford a real one. Komal asks Harman to comment on the way Riya is looking, as he designed her dress. Harman sees Kesar and says beautiful. Riya blushes, as she thinks that he is referring to her. Kesar tells herself that she hopes Angela arrives on time.
