yes... asking straight is risky...and may be he is friendly with u...as a frnd and not with LOVE emotions...

so try to get his feelings...on this...while u mix with him...(a general chat on relationships, marriage, qualities he want in his wife/gf etc...this will make u understand his opinion or views...and will be easy for u to proceed)
