Interesting epi...I was braced for many things and overall I liked how it shaped up...better than the weird stuff going on in the MM epi.
1) As some of us thought, the epi opened on DV seeking out Saachi and wanting to take her on a drive around Mumbai...trying to get alone time with her...but by that point Saachi was anyways too depressed and insisted on going straight home
2) Ankita wasn't as annoying to me today😆...maybe cuz DV was back to being fully DV...and no chipku dances thank the lord...but to counter that, Saachi was in SAINT mode today *facepalm*😆...when DV for once was trying to get rid of Ankita telling her to take a taxi home, Saint Saachi intervened and offered to drop Ankita home😆...and then the MA'AM moments started...poor Saachi😆
3) The convos in the car ride...Ankita keeps on calling Saachi "Ma'am" and invariably drives the point home to Saachi that she is from a different age bracket...even though Ankita didn't mean it in malice...like the example she gave of Saachi resembling their gorgeous high school teacher😆...and I liked that DV did tell Ankita to stop calling Saachi Ma'am...and that bit with the song where Ankita puts on a 90s song thinking that's to Saachi's taste...but then DV kholoes Ankita's pol that she herself likes that song😆...and so the convos continue as DV-Ankita share anecdotes, inside jokes and a morose Saachi watches from the backseat :((
To add to the pangaa, Saachi sensing just how much Ankita misses DV in Mumbai, invites the madam to Panchgani...kuch log achhai mein hi maare jaate hain...and that is what is happening with Saint Saachi...she's just TOO nice of a person in that sense😆...DV again in subtle ways tried to make Ankita not show up by painting a boring picture of Panchgani...but Ankita ofcourse wants to be around him.
The final cheek kisses b/w them seemed to bum out Saachi even extra...aww...lol
4) Liked how DV tried to cheer Saachi up in the latter half...aaj toh gaana bhi badaa achha gaya..."Tera mujhse hai pehle ka naata koi"😆...and I have to make a special mention of how REALISTICALLY the convo in the car took place...Saachi was quiet and morose...DV sensed it and again and again asked her what's wrong...she didn't tell him for a bit, kept quiet...he kept trying to joke with her or cheer her up...finally she comes around to the point a bit telling him she feels like she doesn't know him...and how easily the topic of Ankita came in too...DV sensed that is what was bothering her and casually explained too...I personally was glad there wasn't any melodrama with him going all "Kya? What?"...He handled it all so CALMLY even though he was also feeling a bit irritated with Saachi thinking so negatively about the world of differences b/w them.
That convo made both their thought processes clear...DV simplifies the most complex of things while Saachi OVER complexifies things...kehne ki baat toh itni si hi hai as DV also said that these differences matter how much you LET them matter...Love is different from friendship.
5) I liked that despite Saachi not making anything easy for him, DV managed to take her out to a dinner date😆...she was so grumpy, so morose but he didn't let any of that deter him...kaun ladka itne nakhre jhelta hai aajkal?😆...just for that DV ko aaj major plus points😆...that bit where he joked with her that her stomach is making noises cuz it's hungry😆...
6) And the final, "My girlfriend is an ALIEN?" bit...PRICELESS🤣...Awesome dialogues today also it has to be said...and again DV tackled Saachi's morose pessimism so well...turned around the "You're not from this planet" line so sweetly into complimenting her😆...but Saachi was not in the mood to be mollified.
I was wondering in the whole epi why Saachi wasn't telling him about the talk with his mother...and the precap finally has that convo...Saachi finally bursts out with what's REALLY bothering her...and DV looks all shocked and upset...now let's see how he tackles this.
As an aside, Aaji's description of Saachi to Naani was also food for thought...Saachi is naive in the ways of the world in that sense...atleast the ways of big city life and culture...
And overall I feel the epi did a great job of realistically and naturally showing a conversation regarding differences b/w a new couple still adjusting to each other's personalities.
