It is very interesting that this actress has been cast in the role of DV's bf. I remember seeing her in 12/24 Karol Bagh on Zee Tv. Her character falls in love with her brother-in-law, who is incidentally almost a decade younger than her sister. Again. she plays the third angle in a older woman - younger man love story.
Her character was good enough in the initial days of the show and she even played Cupid for the leads. Then, she became this crazy, obsessive woman who would stop at nothing to get her man, even if it meant destroying her sister' life.
Maybe it is not fair to judge her on the basis of a single episode. However, she came onto DV a bit too strongly today. Her cutting into their dance, plastering herself onto DV etc were to indicate that she had a prior stake. It may have been intentional or otherwise but I would go with the former. Girls are fairly quick to pick up on threatening vibes and rush in to stake their claim. To me, it seemed like Ankita was doing just that.
I do not think DV thinks of her as one of the boys. The body language during their dance indicates a certain physcial comfort level that hints at more than just BFs. Maybe they had a brief fling in the past. Maybe they were friends with benefits. Nothing wrong with that! DV has moved on and maybe the girl has not.
However, I would think it is imperative on DV's part to clarify the status of his relationship with Ankita to Saachi. You do not plaster yourself to another woman when you have your girlfriend with you at a party, Even in the big, bad world of Mumbai, it is not done. And it would make it worse if DV indeed had a past with the girl. That he did not think twice before flaunting a past before Saachi.
Why do the creatives go to such extremes to create drama? Either he has to be all over Saachi or some other woman even as she looks on? What sense does that make? To bring the woman you are madly in love with to party where she knows no one but you and then forget all about while you danced away to glory with your BF? The episode certainly had Ekta written all over. Wish they would go back to the fairly sophisticated story telling, glimpses of which we have seen in the past!
