Hey Ron, good topic you have started.
I feel the same. DV need not force himself on Sachi to make her fall in love with him. Here are the reasons why I feel so.
DV is shown as a lawyer aged 27, US returned after a stint of working there. Added to this, he tells Aadu that he used to play football in college (while in US too) that is where he got his Arsenal jacket. Now as real life goes, not every Tom, Dick and Harry can pass the required entrance exams and get into a college in legal studies in the US. Then intern there for a while and work there later I mean after interning. He comes back to India and comes to Panchgani in his car. (By the way where is the beautiful blue car shown when DV enters ?) He tells later in the serial that he comes from a well educated, well placed, respectable Marwadi family whose children regardless of their gender have well placed careers and life.
Now will such a man (27 is an age to be called man and not a boy by any standard) be as immature as he is being portrayed? Second, coming from a rich family and a background in law, he would have seen and known the vagaries of human emotions. So he would know how to control his emotions too. Third, won't such a man know that to make a woman like Saachi get interested in him he has to do exactly the opposite of what he is doing now?
Now older woman -younger man getting married and having a successful married life is not uncommon in business, political and aristocratic circles. Many are the times if we take Indian history from ancient times to modern days, it is done with the open blessings of parents and the two who are married that way have to deal with their emotions in a dignified way.
Instead of making DV do immature acts, if the CVs can concentrate on the court case and its details, and put this reality in it won't we all be benifitted in seeing a beautiful story unfold?
Thankyou for reading this long post. This is my POV not to hurt anyone. 😊
