Disclaimer: Am an avid KYM fan, and would anyday love to see Shabbir and Panchi together too, but that would be wishful thinking, it doesnt really mean it HAS to be the case.
Whenever an onscreen couple is able to ignite the right chemistry, we as fans really do go beserk, no pun intended. Before KYM, i was an avid Sujal-Kashish fan, then an Angad-Kripa fan, and there are many more instances. Because we are able to see them together, all blazing romance and passion, we as ardent romance lovers, love to extrapolate every single gesture, eyecontact, hand clasp, hug into something more , we wish to see what we want to see.
I have seen forums getting ugly when members start getting TOO involved with the characters, its not our fault that we want them to be together in real life too, if they both happen to be single/unattached at the time the show is on air, but this doesnt really translate into them getting together for OUR benefit, does it?
I think so much speculation on their offscreen relationship does tend to put pressure on their performances also. If they know their fans really want them to be together, and desperately so, do you think it doesnt affect them at all? If there IS something brewing between them, its embarassing enuf to admit it, and if there is not, its even worse. Then in order to quell these rumors, their onscreen performance starts suffering, as they try to put more distance between themselves, and just concentrate on the shot. Bottomline is, they are not able to work with a free mind.
This is why we might be seeing Michi hugs being a little lukewarm these days (tho personally, I beg to differ.. I can really see the comfort level between the two, and I think passionate hugs are just not required all the time. If its tenderness a shot is asking for, then so be it. )
More often than not, telly stars do become close to each other when they thrown in each other's company almost 24-7, but its human nature.. they believe they are in love with each other, but give them more space and options, and their reel chemistry might just fizzle out, or if the emotions are genuine enuf, it might culiminate in marriage. We have ample examples in our telly world to support both these cases.
Lets not forget that after all, its a fictional world Michi are part of, they put on costumes, makeup and a set ot emotions for every shot.. lets not read too much into every hug, kiss and touch.. they are doing their best to perform their roles responsibly, and we as their ardent fans, should be responsible enuf not to pressurise them personally by way of too much specualtion and reading in between each small line and word.
p.s. Coming back to Sujal Kashish and Angad Kripa, after the shows went off air, we have come back to reality, as have they.. isnt it? On the other side we have Hiten-Gauri and other telly couples too.. I rest my point here.
