People switching from television to films have almost always had one thing to say – this is the end of television and it will be just films after this. Some of course get back to the small screen after failing to make an impact in Bollywood. However, Shabbir Ahluwalia seems to be on a different track. He insists he is comfortable with both the mediums and would continue acting in both. "As an actor I would be just taking any role that challenges me or I find interesting," he says. "Television is where I began. While shooting for Mission Istanbul I took a break from television and now I am back," he says, adding that he would keep shifting to and fro as per requirements of different characters he plays. In the meantime the actor refuses to comment on the reports that he is the front runner for the character of Arjun in Ekta Kapoor's Mahabharat. Shabbir's second film Mission Istanbul is scheduled to release on July 11. He continues to flaunt his bearded look. "I think I will continue to keep the beard till someone approaches me for a romantic role, then I will have to shave it off," he chuckles. www.deccan.com |
