Why Milsi should be the best Pati

Milind's nomination as best pati in the SPA may have raised many an eyebrow. And why not. Here is a guy who :

scared his young wife with a near rape. repeatedly suspected her of having an affair with her ex-lover. physically abused her - wonder how her arm bones are still intact after all the shaking they have been subjected to. readily bought the lies about his wife floated by his ex-lover for a good part of their marriage. publicly humiliated her. Let his wife leave the house at night.
  • Did n't bother to go in search of her when he realised that she did not return on the night of divorce proceedings.

Despite all this why should he deserve the best pati award? These are my reasons why.

The guy may have a fiery temper but he has a heart of gold. When he realises his mistake he is more than willing to admit it and ask his wife's forgiveness. He would risk his life for his wife - braved the floods to get a saree for her, took the car hit to save her life. He remained utterly faithful to his wife inspite of his ex-lover literally throwing herself on him. And continued to remain so even when he thought she was not faithful to him. He must be the only T.V. screen husband to ask his wife's permission to start a family. Despite hating her family for what his sister suffered due to them, he still supported them financially and gave due respect to them. Yes, his marriage was part of the deal to save her family concern but he need'nt have continued to support them beyond the agreed amount but he did. Was willing to give up his self respect by begging Niharika to accept Suki as her daughter-in-law only because his wife wanted Suki to get her love. He rushed with Ritwik in his arms out of their bedroom inorder to ensure his wife's sleep is not disturbed. And this without having a clue as to how to take care of an infant. Now how sweet and considerate was that! He got up early to prepare his wife breakfast. His wife may have prepared countless breakfasts for him but I am sure the girl relished the burnt omlette more than anything she had ever eaten because his love for her was visible in every morsel of it. He may have publicly humiliated her but he was equally willing to admonish himself for putting her through hell as was evident at the court scene on the day his divorce was to be awarded.
  • He may have listened to his ex-lover's lies but he also reposed considerable faith in his wife when he openly defended her against Ayesha's accusations and caved in only when Prachi herself admitted to her 'guilt'.

After all this can there ever be a doubt as to why this very human character despite all his flaws is so lovable and why he should be given the best pati award in SPA?

Well I was pleasantly surprised that Milind was nominated in best pati, and not Prachi in best patni category. But I wasn't shocked at Milind's nomination. I said this before, despite Milind's flaws, he has remained faithful to Prachi, and put his life on the line for her, even in partial amnesia state, he is drawn to Prachi, and respects her all the more, again her happiness is most important to him, and is ready to kill his own feelings so that she gets her happiness. I think the fact that Milind's chastity is in intact, and has not strayed, (touchwood) makes him the best pati according to me in the past year on Indian telly. I think Milind must be the first hubby from what I have seen of Ekta serials , the first to prepare breakfast for his wife, makes him all the more endearing. So my vote has gone to him.

Ah well Opti as I always said the guy is more human and lovable than any other hero onscreen today. Simply because of all the above mentioned reasons moreso I believe all his flaws make him more understandable and relatable. We got to see him suffer tremendous heart ache by the web of lies spun around him, true he was quick to accept them blindly but wat else could he do if the wife accepted the lies. Oh he drank insanely seethed in anger and lashed out at her on every possible occassion yet we connected with his pain, felt for his immense burden of guilt and cried with him at the beach which only proves how very touching and sensitive he was. He suffered yet continued to put up a happy front for his family and supported his wife's despite considering her a bigamist. I think he deserves best pati because he understood his wife yes maybe at a later stage in his marraige but he did and trusted her completely. He took the hit instead of her and despite suffering from amnesia continues to love her even though the love haunts him and causes his guilt to increae tenfolds considering her someone else's fiance. I think the guy deserves a big round of applause for actually going through every test of life and still standing victorious.(with help from his loving wife !)

I really, really don't know why he is up for that because to me he hasn't done anything good or best for Prachi since the day they got married other than their C-night and the morning after when he cook for her that all,so why he's up for best pati I don't know😕

He deserves a nomination in best Pati award. I think he also deserves a nomination in best Bhai category. Not sure why SPA doesnt have that category this year.

But Prachi surely deserves to be in best Patni category. How can they overlook what she did for the last 7 months for her Pati and family.
