A question regarding marriages in India

I am not familiar with the laws in India regarding marriages but i assume that they are similiar to those here in Canada.

My question is...do the writers not think about these things before creating a storyline? M and P are married are they not? It is binding and legal. Then why is this farce about engagements allowed to continue? What kind of a message is this sending out to today's young?

I do not know about India but i do know that here, all 4 would end up in jail. Trying to marry someone else when already married is a crime.

I am completely disappointed in the writing staff of this show. I understand they are trying to create story lines to add excitement and intrigue but this is just lunacy.

Bigamy is certainly against the law in India. What they show is not necessarily what the audience wants - but definitely what they want.

Welcome to Indian Television. πŸ˜ƒ πŸ˜ƒ πŸ˜ƒ Where all laws that govern a civilized society are suspended to create "drama" that taxes the common sense of the viewers and gives us migranes. Yet we we are so hooked to this "lunacy" as you put it...and therefore it continues. πŸ˜ƒ It sends absolutely not message to the viewers because everyone knows that the shows are a circus and really are not meant to be taken seriously.

BT show - suspension of all reality in the name of entertainment. Only most of the times it is not very entertaining!

What can we do, we have already protested about the possibility of cross-illegal marriages and possible bigamy in Kayamath, but our pleas are falling on deaf ears. I don't want KYMT to turn into other K soaps, where bigamy seems to be a thing.

Yes, Milind and Prachi are legally married,
