How on earth did I miss it?...let me tell you why...it's the damn American system for dating, that's what!! I usually check the date of an update to see if I've read it...and the 5, which was for the month made me think was the day...but enough of my excuses and down to business...

What did I think? 🤔

Honestly...JC...All I want to do now is trottle you!! How could you do this to me? You have, against my better judgement and sense...made me FEEL something, some sort of sympathy for Alaap. 👏 How and why? I cannot explain but it has happened and FULL credit goes to you and your writing. One part touched me the most...and that was when Praci fell and he looked towards her. No words were spoken but his sister understood what he wanted to say and he in turn complied with her wishes.

Wow, is mostly what I felt when I read this part...I can understand Milind's concern as a brother who's sister has been greatly wronged but this part for me was more striking due to Alaap and Prachi. That relationship is so intriguing to me now and I could feel Prachi's dilemma over what to do, save Alaap or let him get what he deserved.

At first when Sukriti spoke, I did not think anyone noticed but then after reading on I realised Asha Tai has and she in turn made Milind realise it. What I am thinking next is that they become privvy to the fact that it was because of Alaap and that he may finally come of some use to them. Though I dont know what you had in mind and like usual you will surprise me and I will gush and gush and gush till you cant take it anymore... 😊 😆

I could understand Milind's fury and it reminded me a lot of chawl Milind. 👏 ...was really good to see his reaction and brilliantly done.

Absolutely loved Asha Tai in this, at first I thought she really didn't like Prachi but the way she behaved toward with Milind proved the contrary, though I have my suspicions that if it were any woman in that position, she would have defended her too.

Milind's silent acceptance of Asha Tai's reprimand and his eventual guilt at having caused Prachi any sort of harm was evident and beautifully protrayed I thought.

The tone of the part changed considerably after Alaap had left, I thought it was a good break up from the intensity and Milind and Prachi were both very good in their roles. Milind the caring husband and Prachi the invalid. 😊 😆 ...I liked their interaction very much and I could start to see what you meant when you said Michi will be special in their own way. They are very different from Neesha and their parts are no less engrossing and leaves you wanting more.

Ritwik though as little as his presence was, was sweet and adorable and his love for Prachi evident. Milind's attempts to make him feel at ease was very considerate and kind.

I forgot to mention before that the beginning of the part where the family are all together, left an inpression on me. It was wonderful to that they were properly interacting as a family. Reminded me of my own when the cricket is on. 😊

At first when I read that Alaap was bombarded with slaps, I have to admit, I thought it seemed rather comical that Milind would do that, only when I realised it was Sukriti that it made more sense to me.

I have to admit though...I went to read the first bit of Part I again... 😆 😳 😆 ....so that should hint at what I'm having withdrawal symptoms from...

and I had a question...I'm assuming your second language isn't Hindi? Just wanted to make sure because I find your command of it, excellent and some of the dialogues are very well written, utilising Hindi that I personally would not think of as conversational.

All in all...Brilliant update JC... 👏 Thank you sooooo much for taking the time out to update for us and GOOD LUCK with your exams. I can only too well understand that...LOVED IT!
👏

Right I hope I haven't missed anything.... 😃

JC dont worry I am a cusp between Taurus and Gemini. So I guess that may help in our relationship (no love-hate I hope). By the way wish I could have taught you economics. I love teaching (though that is not my profession and I majored in economics). I bet I could have made you love the subject.

What did I think? 🤔 errrrr...what????

Honestly...JC...All I want to do now is trottle you!! kya????? How could you do this to me? You have, against my better judgement and sense...made me FEEL something, some sort of sympathy for Alaap. 👏 oh ok..phew...How and why? I cannot explain but it has happened and FULL credit goes to you and your writing.*sniffles* y u gotta scare me like that.😆😆 Thankx hun. One part touched me the most...and that was when Praci fell and he looked towards her. No words were spoken but his sister understood what he wanted to say and he in turn complied with her wishes. yes...that is them...one reason why Alaap connects to Prachi the most...comes with spending the most time with each other as kids..they are going back to that connection now.

It really was difficult for her...tho she was leaning totally towards saving Alaap because she is the only one who knows that he is changing...but she also knew that Milind's anger was justified. But u are right...this part was primarily so Sukriti starts talking and also for Prachi and Alaap relationship...and secondarily so that Milind at least has the satisfaction of having beating him once more before....well...the rest of the story starts...😃

At first when Sukriti spoke, I did not think anyone noticed but then after reading on I realised Asha Tai has and she in turn made Milind realise it. Actually Asha tai did notice but it was Prachi who reminded Milind of it...she had noticed too but before she could react to it, she had to intervene between Milind and Alaap. What I am thinking next is that they become privvy to the fact that it was because of Alaap and that he may finally come of some use to them. Though I dont know what you had in mind and like usual you will surprise me and I will gush and gush and gush till you cant take it anymore... 😊 😆 I am not sure either. But lets c what Suki's doc says about it.

I could understand Milind's fury and it reminded me a lot of chawl Milind. 👏 ...was really good to see his reaction and brilliantly done. Thankyou.

Absolutely loved Asha Tai in this, at first I thought she really didn't like Prachi but the way she behaved toward with Milind proved the contrary, though I have my suspicions that if it were any woman in that position, she would have defended her too. ur suspicions are right. Asha tai would react like that had it been anyone else...even if she didn't like that particular person. As for her liking Prachi...she won't tell exactly what she thinks of Prachi yet...she is not someone who will judge people quickly. She is someone who assess people constantly until she is ready to make up her mind about them. I am not sure if Asha tai has made up her mind about Prachi yet...in the next part Milind might have a little chat with Asha tai and more on her impression of PRachi may be revealed...i donno.

Milind's silent acceptance of Asha Tai's reprimand and his eventual guilt at having caused Prachi any sort of harm was evident and beautifully protrayed I thought. thakx. I had hoped for that...as i didn't want people to hate Milind for the violence. He really didn't mean harm to her.

They are very different from Neesha and their parts are no less engrossing and leaves you wanting more. oh finally someone says what i wanted to hear. luv you jaan.🤗see they are both lovely in their different ways.

Ritwik though as little as his presence was, was sweet and adorable and his love for Prachi evident. Milind's attempts to make him feel at ease was very considerate and kind. it was pretty obvious from his non smiling face that he was scared of Milind now..so Milind wanted to erase that fear...tho its not completely gone yet...

I forgot to mention before that the beginning of the part where the family are all together, left an inpression on me. It was wonderful to that they were properly interacting as a family. Reminded me of my own when the cricket is on. 😊 Same here...my family bonds in front of the TV>😆😆

At first when I read that Alaap was bombarded with slaps, I have to admit, I thought it seemed rather comical that Milind would do that, only when I realised it was Sukriti that it made more sense to me. lolz...hahahaahahahahahaha...yes Milind would look funny doing that..but i wanted Sukriti's reaction to Alaap be a surprise like it was for them.

I have to admit though...I went to read the first bit of Part I again... 😆 😳 😆 ....so that should hint at what I'm having withdrawal symptoms from... ai ai ai. i had given a heads up that there will be a little less of them and more of Michi now...they will be in the background for now. Until Michi reach to a point where Neesha can interfere between them. But meanwhile there will be small parts of them..but i just don't want to force a Neesha part because that just won't gel with the story.

and I had a question...I'm assuming your second language isn't Hindi? lolz...hmm...i consider Hindi my mother tounge...since i grew up in North India but my family is south Indian and i was taught Malayalam at home. I am fluent in both. If you knew Mallu i would give an example of how good i am at mallu.😆😆😆
Just wanted to make sure because I find your command of it, excellent and some of the dialogues are very well written, utilising Hindi that I personally would not think of as conversational. Thankyou. I take great pride in the languages i speak. I don't know what the word for it is..but i love languages and words...learning them and using new words...phrasing things in a unique way ( i was in love with Shakespeare when i was 12😳)...poetry (tho i don't write it..but love to read and enjoy)
So being that way...i do enjoy the use of proper words and diction. My bro often talks the ghetto Hindi cause he has a lot of friends who are form Mumbai and i get so mad at him when he talks to me like that too. Between us we only speak proper Hindi.

all in all...Brilliant update JC... 👏 Thank you sooooo much for taking the time out to update for us and GOOD LUCK with your exams. I can only too well understand that...LOVED IT!
👏 Thankyou soooooooooooo much. nite hun. and good luck to you too.

Right I hope I haven't missed anything.... 😃 don't think so.

Chapter 39: Another excellently written and well thought out chapter. JC, I am warning you this is going to be a marathon commentary. Touch it only if you have the time.

The whole scene of Neesha entering the SM clandestinely was cute, especially the bit where Ayesha gets caught by Soumya. I would have expected them to shower together to extend the eroticism. But I guess given Ayesha's nature she would not dwell too much in the sensual world and would bring the romantic Neev back to the real world.

Coming to Michi, my favourite jodi, I found this sentence intriguing: He had gone out himself to buy things for Sukriti, Ritwik and Asha tai…and well he didn't want Prachi to feel excluded. Now did he really add Prachi to that list as an after- thought or was she foremost in his mind?

I loved the little innuendos which give an insight into their characters, especially Milsi's. Milsi comes across as a guy who is uncomfortable demonstrating his softer emotional side. His handing over the packets to Asha tai and asking her to distribute the gifts is an example of that. By the way, was Prachi's gift also among the packets he initially handed to Asha tai? I'm asking this because later you said he took out her packet from his suitcase. Does that mean he was planning to give it to her in the confines of their room? If Asha tai had not asked him about Prachi's gift, would he have taken it out and given it to Prachi then? Prachi's excitement is understandable. Was she really not expecting anything? I am sure if he had not got her anything she would have been disappointed considering that he had bought gifts for everyone. I loved his gift too. The guy does seem to have good taste. Loved his response when she said she does not know how to wear a saree. That must have brought back memories of the day he caught her in a state of undress, struggling with her saree.

Now I didn't understand why they need to adopt him legally. If it is for the purpose of schooling they can fill in the forms as his guardians. I don't think the school should object to it. My niece lives with me, and my husband and I are her local guardians as per the school records. The reason I am bringing this up is that if Milsi and Prachi adopt him legally then would it not create problems later when she leaves after Suki gets well? Knowing that she is going to leave, why does she want to multiply the legal hurdles she will have to cross? Does she think that the possibility of Suki getting back to normal is remote?

Loved the Alaap-Suki-Milsi confrontation. It was exactly as I would have expected it to be. I knew seeing Alaap will bring an improvement in Suki as she vents out her pent up emotions. Another clarification: What do those asterix marks mean? He charged towards the ****** again but this time Prachi rushed towards them and stood between them. Did you want to use some curse word for Alaap? I would have expected such curse words to be used in the context of a coversation, not narration. Or does Alaap infuriate you so much you decided to use some yourself?! Milsi's fury against Alaap was palpable. Prachi's intervention was poignant. The fact that Milsi responded to his silent pleas spoke volumes of the effect she has on him. But Alaap's persistence in remaining there to explain himself seems to have rekindled the fury which even Prachi's presence could not temper and he ended up hurting her, although inadvertantly. I am glad it could not because then we would have missed out on the mighty Milind Mishra being chastised and slapped by Asha tai. We would have also missed out on Milsi's tender care of a wounded Prachi. By the way, where did Prachi bleed from? Apart from twisting her ankle, did she also hit her forehead against the coffee table?

Are these words by Asha tai supposed to be prophetic? Apne aap par sanyam rakhna seekh. Varna kisi din aisa kuch kar baithega jiska zindagi bhar pachtaava hoga tujhe. Would Milsi's anger make him do something he will regret greatly later on?

Now what did Milsi notice on her feet? Was there a scar or something? Does this date back to her college days? Is it part of the MAP puzzle? Milsi's regret at not realising that Suki had spoken was understandable moving. When one misses out the significance of something he has waited for so long because of his own inability to bridle his anger, it can heighten his remorse and that is what exactly happened to Milsi.

Ritwik's reaction to the whole scene was beautifully brought out. That is exactly how a small kid would react seeing the violent behaviour of an adult. The poor kid must have been frightened out of his life. Milsi seems to have sensed it when he allowed him to sleep with her.

For all his brash behaviour, the guy really has a tender, sensitive and caring heart within and you did full justice in this chapter to bring this out using the events of the day.

But I guess given Ayesha's nature she would not dwell too much in the sensual world and would bring the romantic Neev back to the real world. She is less romantic than Neev (in one sense of the word). She is more practical and keeps her head in the real world. But when in a mood...😳she too can reciprocate Neev's passion in double the amount that Neev displays it.

Coming to Michi, my favourite jodi, I found this sentence intriguing: He had gone out himself to buy things for Sukriti, Ritwik and Asha tai…and well he didn't want Prachi to feel excluded. Now did he really add Prachi to that list as an after- thought or was she foremost in his mind? lolz...not foremost..but definitely not last...but thats the way he thinks to himself.

I loved the little innuendos which give an insight into their characters, especially Milsi's. Milsi comes across as a guy who is uncomfortable demonstrating his softer emotional side. I am sure if he had not got her anything she would have been disappointed considering that he had bought gifts for everyone. umm...disappointed no...because she really wasn't expecting him to buy her anything...but a bit sad yes...that she didn't have that importance in his life... I loved his gift too. The guy does seem to have good taste. Loved his response when she said she does not know how to wear a saree. That must have brought back memories of the day he caught her in a state of undress, struggling with her saree. 😆😆😆lolz...yes. hahaha...😳 Thas y he said "i should have realized"😆😆😆

Thats a good point. Hmmm...well initially when Michi got married, they were under the impression that they were going to adopt Ritwik and that was the initial suggestion by Ayesha that got them thinking about marriage. And when they did get married, Sukriti was a stone and her getting better was little more than a hope. Yes now she improved a lot but still not capable of taking Ritwik's responsibility. Prachi did intend to leave Ritwik but when she was sure Sukriti would be able to take care of him...

Now reasons why the adoption papers were needed. Michi can be just guardians but even then the school would require to know who the parents are...and Ritwik would therefore get Alaap's name...the Shah surname and that would be unacceptable by Milind. Prachi didn't think that SUkriti would "out of the blue" start talking and therefore the possibility of her getting all better so soon was non-existing. So Prachi didn't think that she would be leaving anytime soon. And well....no matter how much she says she will sacrifice...at the bottom of it all ...she considers Ritwik her child...so she probably subconsciously or maybe deliberately wanted that right. Yes it will complicate things when she has to leave but then...this was before Suki could speak. Now things might change. I still haven't decided if Michi will infact adopt Ritwik.

Did you want to use some curse word for Alaap? yes. I would have expected such curse words to be used in the context of a coversation, not narration. Or does Alaap infuriate you so much you decided to use some yourself?! well as i was writing i do tend to think like the character would think and while Milsi was charging towards Alaap..he must have been cursing. And sometimes i do tend to write narration as part of a character's thought. Like the way i wrote that Milsi didn't want Prachi to feel excluded...thats what he was thinking not necessarily what he was feeling/or the truth of his feelings.

I am glad it could not because then we would have missed out on the mighty Milind Mishra being chastised and slapped by Asha tai. lolz..😆thats the only reason he did not...cause it had to lead to the next scn. We would have also missed out on Milsi's tender care of a wounded Prachi. By the way, where did Prachi bleed from? Apart from twisting her ankle, did she also hit her forehead against the coffee table? yes she did..she bled from her forehead...but it was minor but looked bad because it bled too much.

Are these words by Asha tai supposed to be prophetic? Apne aap par sanyam rakhna seekh. Varna kisi din aisa kuch kar baithega jiska zindagi bhar pachtaava hoga tujhe. Would Milsi's anger make him do something he will regret greatly later on? honestly (don't hit me) but i really am not sure..😕 he might, he might not...it could be the opposite of being prophetic too...the reason being that i changed my storyline slightly and so now i am not sure how much of the original story i want to use.

Now what did Milsi notice on her feet? you'll find out soon enough😃 Was there a scar or something? Does this date back to her college days? yes it does. Is it part of the MAP puzzle? not really Milsi's regret at not realising that Suki had spoken was understandable moving. When one misses out the significance of something he has waited for so long because of his own inability to bridle his anger, it can heighten his remorse and that is what exactly happened to Milsi. yup. he really won't forgive himself for that.

Ritwik's reaction to the whole scene was beautifully brought out. That is exactly how a small kid would react seeing the violent behaviour of an adult. The poor kid must have been frightened out of his life. I know...poor baby is gonna think a million times before being playful around Milsi again. Milsi seems to have sensed it when he allowed him to sleep with her. yup. he is trying to bring him back to the comfort level they shared before.

For all his brash behaviour, the guy really has a tender, sensitive and caring heart within and you did full justice in this chapter to bring this out using the events of the day. thankyou...thankyou...and thankyou for taking the time out to comment from you busy life. Tell your husband i am sorry that he has a wife who keeps him from his breakfast to stay on IF😆 j/k

Coming to Part II of Chapter 38, finally we get the much awaited Neesha c-night. You handled it well. Kept it clean and at the same time enticing and sensual. So Ayesha was the initiator? That has to be considering that it is she who had to get over her past. Neev had already made his move and had to restrain himself because of her reaction. By the way are you a dancer? You describe each dance so beautifully one can visualise the entire scene before one's eyes. I loved the fact that Neev gave her the time to heal and let her make the move. His making sure that she was alright with it and her reassuring him only emphasised how much each care for the other's feelings. While I loved everything about their lovemaking, I especially loved the last sentence for personal reasons: Finally they fell to sound sleep, Ayesha with her back to Neev fitting perfectly into his body, her head on his right arm and her fingers intertwined in his as his left hand fell over her waist.

So Ayesha is not much of a cook. Well, that's one thing we have in common. I too never taste what I cook. Maybe that is why I am so bad at it!

I enjoyed this part too, JC. Whatever track you write whether it is Neesha, Michi or Kavyanjali, your attention to details really enlivens the whole reading experience.
