Shabir Ahluwalia
TV actor
"I used to play baseball but was frustrated and gave it up; too much politics in sports"
Vicknesh > Is there a great change between acting in cinema and (doing the same on) television?
Shabir Ahluwalia > The only thing is that you require is to be more efficient in TV. There's more effort required on TV.
Lalchadi > You look hot on screen but I wonder how you are in real life?
Shabir Ahluwalia > It's really sweet of you. I am pleasant looking and entirely different from what I look on TV. You are looking at not the real Shabir on TV.
Amit > I loved your performance in Kahiin To Hoga (KTH). Amna, Rajeev and you are the icons of KTH. Do you think the popularity of KTH will go down after the exit of Rajeev Khandelwal a.k.a Sujal from the serial?
Shabir Ahluwalia > Firstly, he's not leaving the show. Thanks for the compliments.
Kareena > Hi Shabir, you are really good in KTH. Have you signed any movie yet?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I have got a couple of offers but I am contemplating. It's difficult with dates and I don't want to leave KTH, at this stage.
Reachel > From Kahiin To Hoga who do you like the best Mouli, Mahek and Sanjana?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I like Mahek and Sanjana; they are sweet and genuine .
Kilsda > From being a sportsman to actor? What caused the changes?
Shabir Ahluwalia > Too much politics in sports. I used to play baseball. I was frustrated and now have given it up.
Mirchi > As a young person yourself and also attached to the entertainment industry, what is your opinion on the current debate going on in this country on the misuse of cell phone?
Shabir Ahluwalia > It's really sad that it had to go public. I think cell phones were made for a purpose. It should be restricted to that. The entire thing was sickening.
Kavita > How old are you Shabir? Are you a Casanova in real life?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I am 25 years old. And I am not a Casanova in real life.
Shona > Shabir, honestly do you think that there are more temptations in this film and glamour industry? And how does one safeguard oneself from it? It is very difficult not to given in or be one with the crowd?
Shabir Ahluwalia > That's the way to look at it from a normal (general) person's point of view. For an actor, it's hard work that will stand out and matter. Only that will show. It's only our work that keeps us afloat.
Reachel > So Shabir, will you ever gonna be a good boy or you gonna be a bad boy in KTH always? You think that you are too good?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I am a good boy. I am good at heart.
Cute > Shabir, how do people react when you go to parties or somewhere else?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I thought there would be negative reaction. But it's amazing the love that I have got for playing such a bad boy (on screen). It's been great so far.
Feefa > Hey Shabir, don't you know Rajiv Khandewal has quit? It was in the newspapers sometime back. He is doing last few bits and wrapping up the serial.
Shabir Ahluwalia > No, he's not quit!!!!
Sanjana_bangalore > Hi Shabir, KTH is popular in Bangalore at present. But I fear it may fall as Rajeev aka Sujal has quit the serial. What do you feel?
Shabir Ahluwalia > HE HAS NOT QUIT.
Reachel > Do you have a girlfriend Shabir?
Shabir Ahluwalia > No, I don't.
Mahek > Shabir, how did you get the role of Rishi? And are you enjoying it or like Sujal will quit after sometime when you start feeling jaded?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I auditioned for it and I am a loving it. I portray different emotion with different people (in it). There's lot for me to do in the show.
Mano > Are you Rohit Bakshi's friend?
Shabir Ahluwalia > Yes, I am.
Jadu > Where are you from and why did you become an actor?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I am from Mumbai. I had no other option but this.
Kali > If not an actor what would you have been?
Shabir Ahluwalia > A sportsman.
Reachel > Shabir you are so cute. Seriously, you are so adorable. I love you also in KGGK!
Shabir Ahluwalia > I really like you for loving me!
Celebrity room > When is your birthday?
Shabir Ahluwalia > 10 th of August.
Bechara > What do you like in a girl? Who would be your dream girl?
Shabir Ahluwalia > You are not so Bechara the way you sound. My dream girl would be somebody with beauty and brains.
Snehal > Shabir. Why did you choose the role as Rishi?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I like doing roles that make a difference be it a play, TV role or movie - a role that is challenging.
Feefa > Hey you just said that there is too much politics in sports. Still you would have wanted to be a sportsman? Why?
Shabir Ahluwalia > Because that's my first love. I did plays in college too. So, for me, it had to be either sports or acting.
Khushi > KGGK , Kyunki and Kasauti are so popular even after so many years. Do you think KTH will be so after some time?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I don't know. It depends on you, the viewers. If you want it to be popular keep watching it. Better things are going to happen in the story. It will keep you all interested.
Raj > are you doing any movie right now?
Shabir Ahluwalia > Not right now. A movie is being planned though. We are working out the dates.
Reachel > Thank you Shabir. You are truly so adorable, even if you have a negative role in the serial. However, the way you portray your role is just amazing.
Shabir Ahluwalia > Thanks and you have a nice name, if that's real.
Reachel > Will you be coming to Canada? And I really hope you do because so many people like you here, especially the girls.
Shabir Ahluwalia > I was in Montreal for five months. I was living there. I am not going there right away but will do so soon. I have my family there.
Rani > What sort of roles would you like to do in movies? Do you think you are getting type cast as a negative character?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I will never let myself get type cast. In movies my first preference would be to do a psychopath's role.
Khushi > Who is your favourite actor and actress?
Shabir Ahluwalia > In Hollywood - Al Pacino, Julia Roberts. Bollywood – Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee.
Khushi > Hi, will Rishi ever become positive in KTH??
Shabir Ahluwalia > You never know. But, as of now, he will be evil. I will only be good to my brother.
Bonkers > Hi, you are really hot. I am from California and wish to invite you here. I wanna see you in person. When will you come here in the near future? When are you going to change this negative attitude in KTG?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I don't know if I will change my character. I would love to come to California, it's a lovely place.
Snehal > Are you married?
Shabir Ahluwalia > No, I am not married.
Rani > Are you ever going to fall in love with Sanjana in KTH?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I don't have time to fall in love in that show. I am so busy there!
Feefa > How did you feel when you received the award for the best negative role? And hey, congrats by the way. Did you see it coming?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I didn't see anything coming. The nomination was good enough for me. I was happy for everyone.
Rishi_i_like_u > What are you doing presently, besides the serial KTH?
Shabir Ahluwalia > Nothing, I can't manage anything beyond this serial.
Khushi > Will you act in Mallika Sherawat kind of movies if given a chance i.e. with more sex elements in it?
Shabir Ahluwalia > Given a chance I will get her home with me.. heheheheeh...just kidding. No, not really. I won't do such films unless I am a psychopath killer and I can kill her.
Sid > You are doing a brilliant job as Rishi in KTH. Any plans for doing a positive role or coming into movies?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I have made such a dent in my life no that one will ever offer me a positive role.
Reachel > Will you be willing to give up television for a very big film offer?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I won't give up television for anything. I will also do movies
alongside.

Shabir Ahluwalia > Not at all I am a natural. The way I am going when I wake up in the morning and imagine that there's a camera in front of me.

"Natassha is a really close friend but I am not in love with her"
Mudassir7867 > I am your fan and now watch Kahin Toh Hoga just for Aamna and you? I love the way you perform- dialogue delivery, acting. Especially that moment when you just lift your right hand in anger and become wordless. This is quite similar to Shahrukh Khan's acting (please don't mind). In reply, please type my name i.e. Mudassir.
Shabir Ahluwalia > That lifting of my right hand is something I have been doing ever since I was very young. Thanks, Mudassir.
Shabiralhuwalia > Hey Shabir! You're rocking in the role of Rishi! Where have you disappeared from Kkavyanjali ? Also, want to know about your off screen relationship with (actress) Natassha. Did you say - 'I love you Nats ' - when you took an award? What do you think about (actor) Eijaz? Is there any girl in your life?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I have not disappeared. Before I return to Kkavyanjali once again, I have to fulfill some other commitments. Natassha is one of my closest friends. Yeah, I did say I love her because she is a really close friend of mine. But, there is no one in my life as of now. I think Eijaz is a sweet guy and a wonderful person to work with.
Lipssa > Hi Shabir, how are you? You are really a brilliant actor. You have a cute smile. Do you have any girlfriend? Do you reply to your fan mails? Do you remember me?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I am fine, thank you. Yes, I do remember you. I did get some emails from you and thanks so much; it's really sweet. I would love to reply to the emails but I don't get time. No, I don't have a girl friend.
Zaingilani > Who do you think is your inspiration?
Shabir Ahluwalia > Al Pachino. I really like the way he performs on screen.
Nikveryvery > Tell me Shabir, what's your relationship with Natasha. I think you are in love with her. If so, then please say.
Shabir Ahluwalia > No, I am not in love with her. We are really close friends.
Prerna > How do you like your character in Kahiin Toh Hoga ? You know very well that so many girls are crazy about you. What do you think about them?
Shabir Ahluwalia > How sweet! This is what I have been working for and it's good to know that people like me. I really love my character in Kahin Toh Hoga because I get to do as much as (my role) 'Rishi.' I get to make people laugh, cry and also flirt!
Laks > How did you feel when you came to know that your big B is leaving Kahin To Hoga ? I mean Rajeev.
Shabir Ahluwalia > I was a little disappointed but since it is a profession, we all have to move on.
Lili > Hi! How did you come about anchoring the show Nach Baliye and till now, how has been the experience? Why did you agree to anchor a dance show? Is it for the money?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I love dancing my self. As for anchoring, it was somewhere at the back of my mind to anchor a show. It was a proposal put forward by the channel. I was more than happy to do it. The experience has been awesome. I am having lots of fun on the show.
Majhi > Do you think Saurav Ganguly should now be rested and new people be given a chance in the Indian team? Who is your favourite cricketer? Asking you since you are a sportsman yourself.
Shabir Ahluwalia > My favourite cricketer would be Sachin Tendulkar. I don't know whether Ganguly should be rested or not, but one thing I am really happy about is that everyone is getting a really fair chance to play.
Prerna > Shabir, who is your favourite character on the sets?
Shabir Ahluwalia > There are quite a few – Lalit (my uncle in the show), Swayam (Vikas Sethi), Sanjana (Dimple). Basically, every one.
Well_wisher > Hi Dude! How are you? What are your views about one religion and do you believe in GOD?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I am fine, thank you. My views on one religion and all religions are the same. I am a god fearing person.
Laks > Where do you want to see yourself - in movies or in TV - in the coming years? And yes, you dance well.
Shabir Ahluwalia > Either doesn't really make a difference, as long as I am loved and you guys log on to chat with me on Indiatimes. Thank you.
Prerna > Shabir, are you the same off screen the way you are in Kahin Toh Hoga?
Shabir Ahluwalia > No, I am the opposite. It doesn't mean that I don't like girls, but I am not a flirt.
Laks > Whom are you thankful to when you see yourself in the place you are today?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I am thankful to everyone, who crossed my path along the journey.
Lipssa > Where do you stay? Can you tell me about your family? What are your future plans? I went to Canada for six months. Any plans of migrating abroad?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I stay in Lokhandwala (Mumbai). I live with my family. My family consists of parents, my sister who is married and is in Delhi, my grandfather. And I have an elder brother. No future plans - taking it by the day. No plans, as of now.

Shabir Ahluwalia > Nothing, I am really happy the way I am.

Clod > Which sport did you play? Why did you quit sport? Any plans of getting back to sports?
Shabir Ahluwalia > No plans of getting back to sports. I used to play foot ball, cricket, base ball, badminton, squash. I quit because at that time opportunities were not that much (in sports).
Well_wisher > A bit serious one. Who would be your favourite 'Sujal' in Kahin To Hoga -.Rajeev or Gurpreet?
Shabir Ahluwalia > Both.
Gigs > What sort of roles do you like to play - negative or positive? Why?
Shabir Ahluwalia > I like to play grey shades more because there is lot more to do in it. It's more challenging.
