Warning in advance: Mine is a kayamth scenario
Prachi's just said she wants a divorce. The judge tells her to come up to the stand and say why. Dracula (The creepy lawyer)'s about to pounce. Judge tells him to shut up. Scolds prachi telling her it's because of her refusal to give a divorce that everyone's here.So what's changed.
She says (like hubby before her)I don't want to say anything, just give me the divorce. He insists and then in a broken voice she says earlier she had some hope in saving the marriage because she thought they loved each other inspite of everything but now after watching what happened she doesn't think the marriage is worth saving (I know, I know it would snow in hell before Prachi says any such thing....but haven't u heard of the willing suspension of disbelief...we've all been victims of this so far!).
To get back to the story, she says, I could forgive him for my humiliation but not for my family's who gave him all the love that a son deserves. All the time she refuses to look at Mils who's trying to catch her attention.
Then the judge says that makes sense or whatever the legal lingo is and asks one final time abt their decision. Both reluctantly say yes with much wincing on either side and he is about to declare the divorce when suk appears and insists on getting on the stand.
Prachi of course yells at her to shut up. Suk tells her to do the same yelling, are u a woman or some devi? Look at my poor brother, hasn't he suffered enough and proceeds to tell the truth.
Now comes the kayamath part...
All hell breaks out amongst the family members, Mils is shocked to the core, holds a weeping Suk and stares at Prachi who looks stiff as a poker at him.
But she comes up to suk, keeps asking her kyo kiya aisa tumne, getting no answer as suk has fainted by now.
Court proceedings are held up, mils rushes sis to the hospital. By the time, he returns home, Prachi's left....yes, u guessed it...for the chawl. He goes there, shouts at her for bit for giving them such pain when just a word of truth at the beginning would have done, that he'd have come up with some way to deal with the matter, then tells her how sorry he is abt what happened today..not his fault et al. But, our new and 'improved' Prachi won't have any of it. Why should I believe you and all of that.
With Mils powers of persuasion (I'll leave it to ur imaginations what that includes)he wins her over finally. What follows is every forum member's (barring NP lovers) dream of the chawl scene. So much for the Nagpal reunion!
Everything is hunky dory till the next day when they r back in SM. Mils goes back to the court to sort out the mess, kill the lawyer possibly when Ayesha sashayes into Mils' room and gets the shock of her life. Prachi's back.
A couple of hours later Dracula arrives at SM, looking for Mils. When Prachi confronts him, he tells her he was only doing the job the way he was asked to do, that mils paid him to tell all as he wanted out so deperately.
Prachi goes, I don't believe you and recalls his convo with Mils, including the part which she had overheard. He tells her he met mils the night before right here at SM where they planned the strategy where he'd given him a blank cheque. She sees it and reels back in shock...the cheque is in the name of Vlad(!) Shinde, and signed by Mils himself. The fact that it is a blank cheque clinches the matter for Prachi who's back to "I want a divorce" mode again!
Why did the cheque bear Mils sig? Two possibilities....It was mils money after all and he probably signed a lot of blank cheques(I do that!)and left them lying around in the office (aren't MA partners or something?) or our resident briber forged his signature.
So, here we have both a temp reunion and a separation!
Don't kill me. I gave u fair warning!
