Tell me about it Vasantha. The guy has completely lost it. Is going to go on a msaaive guilt trip when he comes to know the truth. Hope he is able to forgive himself at the end of it. His darling wife will forgive anything except maybe the dreaded *** (Dont want to even mention it, have done enough of typing it for a day).

I didn't read everyone's comments. But i have a new perspective on this. I have been disgusted by all other shows...but like you said, KYM came as a very pleasant surprise when it came to the c-nite between the leads. But the questions raised on the sanctity of that night, its purity, actually should not be destroying it for the viewers because the viewers know the truth. That pure and beautiful image has been destroyed for Milind only and the fact that he is disgusted by it shows how much that actually meant to him. It was that important in his life and it was that important to his relationship with his wife...and therefore the thought that she (i donno if i can put it in uncensored terms) ...its killing him and therefore his behavior toward the wife who has ruined that image for him is what we see it to be. The sanctity still remains of Michi's union, unlike all other shows where the characters themselves said or did things half-heartedly or regreted their own actions...in Michi's case it is a misunderstanding that is making Milind revolt at the thought of that night. The c-night itself is not corrupted. And Milind will realize that soon when things clear up.

JC, point taken. Yes, the sanctity of the c-night remains for both Milsi and Prachi. But the fact that he doubts its significance for Prachi, does leave a bad taste in the mouths of the viewers (atleast me) who still want the characters to hold on to it. Especially when Milsi would realise the truth, his guilt will be enormous, considering he had questioned the purity of the one thing that concretised their marriage.

And to think all this is happening because of this stupid retarded track which is totally devoid of logic is what makes me angry with the creatives. There were several ways to take the story forward and yet they pick on the one way which will actually strike at the root of a marriage and that too with the weirdest of logics.

Well i think when Milsi will find out the truth there will be a lot many things he'll feel guilty of. It won't primarily be about the c-nite. It will primarily be about his lack of faith in his wife. Actually now i am not quite sure if he'll feel guilty really or angry more that Prachi didn't tell him before. Can't predict 100% how he'll react.

But lets look at it this way, the drama becomes a drama only when there are a few tears and a bit of heartache mixed in with the good stuffs. We wouldn't appreciate Shabbo the actor if he didn't show us so many colors of his character now would we. And this track is giving an excuse for that no matter how illogical it seems. Even Panchi has been doing better as an actress due to it and Neev toh..well we can see the difference. Lets take the positive and really i shouldn't have to tell you that its like banging your head on the wall to expect logic from BT.

Altho considering that BT being the biggest and most influential production house i am thinking of writing a very elegant letter to them about increasing the standards of their own shows by showing some logic and continuity in their story and dignity in their characters so that indian television can mature as have the mindsets of the viewers. Thats a thought. At least i'll feel that i have done my part [as a viewer whose brain cells are being attacked by such stupidity].

JC I would disagree that this track is the way to bring out the best in the characters. It may have done that but at what cost? There were enough alternatives which could have been used which were equally effective in bringing about the acting skills of these people.

Yes, there is bound to be certain unbelievable things thrown in a daily soap to heighten the drama element. But it is one thing to add a little salt and spice to your food but quite another to replace your entire food with only salt and spice (which is what the creatives have done with this track).
