Corruption of C-night - A BT spl

The C-night is special for any married couple as they embark on a new phase in their marital life. It is supposed to be pure and sacred and underlines the physical essence of marriage - 'And the two shall be one'. Yet BT serials are famous for distorting it, corrupting it of its purity and generally making a parody of it. Either the hero voices his regret the morning after (KS), or worse still, he would have been too drunk to even remember it (KA) or do it in an impulse after saving his wife(KAA). Never is the couple made to feel good about it the next day. And yes, they will part company soon thereafter in some pretext or other. What should have been a binding force then becomes a breaking point.

I was happy that KYMT was an exception to that rule. They showed a beautiful C-night when both the parties were sober, fully conscious of what they want and had confessed their feelings before they took the all important step. Just as we squeezed our eyes in disbelief, they followed it up with an even more beautiful episode of the morning after when that love is reinforced in the small gestures that the couple gave each other to show just how much they mean to the other. Alas, we sigh, these guys have broken their shackles and have given c-night its due reverence. How wrong can we get.

In retrospect all these beautiful scenes appears to have only been the calm before the storm. The sanctity of the very act is now being questioned by our hero who is bitterly wondering whether it was not all part of an elaborate act by his wife to entrap him. He is cursing himself for ever giving in to it thinking that it meant more to her when all she may have done is to bearly tolerate him to bring in her 'illegimate' child into their house. These insuations are far worse than plain regret and forgetfulness shown in the earlier BT serials. It is not only stabbing at the heart of the one they were directed to but also the heart of the one who was making the accusations, not to mention us poor viewers who feel for both of them. It is like taking us to Mt.Everest and rolling us from there, nice and slow!

When will they ever stop belittling the signifance of the c-night in the lives of couples? Or is this the price we are expected to pay for watching BT serials and falling in love with their jodis?

Corruption of C-night is def a BT special, well put....here it happened later as opposed to earlier.

I don't know what to add esp since I fear we are just about to pay an even bigger price for admiring Miland and Prachi's jodi :(

I never got a chance to thank the creatives for showing us the beautifully aesthetically shot C-night and the splended morning after scenes. So thanks creativesji...and its so disheartening to see the creatives attempting to spoil the sanctity of the c-night.

I too felt happy that for once BT did not butcher the C-night.But how we were fooled. They cleverly huddled all of us to the top of Mt Everest and kicked us down.Do we learn? No. 😕

Well... At least they've given us something special. I'm happy for C night and may the wonderful memory stay with us. In loving memory indeed, dear C night.

Magno for a moment there I thought you would add 'Rest in Peace' after 'In loving memory'!

Of course I added that, dear Optimist. Was just lazy to type it.

I guess they have ruined all our peace with this current track and the last straw is Milsi questioning the purity of 'that' night. Hope they dont decide to bury Michi's marital life altogether in the coming days. Have to agree with you Magno, all the harping about 'that night' makes you wonder was there just one night after all. Imagine if there was just that one night and even that has be sullied by thoughts of betrayal and entrapment. Now I do feel like weeping loudly for our poor Michi, booh, hooh, hoooh 😭 😭 😭

I agree with you 100% optimist😊

BT have often made a mockery out of it, which of course is evident in many of their shows, as you have mentioned. I also believed that Kayamath was an exception. But again the writers have succumbed to their usual recycling methods. The two coming closer should mean that their bond becomes stronger, but as you rightly said, it was the calm before the storm😔

But Michi C-night will always remain special to all Michians😳 and BT can't take that away from us But just one thing, why the hell is Milind even doubting Prachi and her feelings on that night?😡 Her feelings were just as real and pure as his. Then again, it's all in the hands of the writers

It is not for nothing that we call these two the duffers. She was not just a passive participant that night. She too actively responded to his overtures, kissing him and fondling him and yet this duffer thinks she felt nothing. What's worse he even misintepreted her moving away as if it was an acknowledgement of his doubt. In my opinion she moved away either because the stench of the alchohol was too much to bear (he emptied a whole bottle down his throat!) or she was too shocked that he would even question her feelings that night.

^ LOL 😆 this is very true. They are duffers I think we should bang their heads together 😆

It's funny how when things are going wrong, they get worse! As you said, when Prachi stepped back...Milind thought she was doing that on purpose Honestly speaking, if my hubby was soaking in alcohol- I would've done the same! 😆

And the misunderstandings are gonna keep on coming... 😕
