There seems to be an endless debate about Michi's relationship in comparison to the relationship Neev-Prachi shared…. And may be rightfully so. I think the problem arises because both Michi and Neev-Prachi fans are stuck in two different time zones. One in the present and future and the other in the past. Cant really say one is right and the other one is wrong… but then cant even deny that they are two opposite views… if Milind was not a part of Prachi-Neev's past then Neev is not and will not be a part of Michi's present and future either. As long was we don't try to bring Milind in their past story and drag Neev into the present scenario… I think it is fine. For starts I think Neev should move on in life, no one is worth ruining your entire life on. There are so many people whose lifes he can touch and enhance it and I sure Neev is capable of that… so instead of drowning himself in misery, he needs to face life, accept it and go on to make his life more meaningful like the way Michi have. It will be a waste of a life if he doesn't do that… and I think what he needs is support and not sympathy.
We have always discussed Michi in a very romantic sense, with regard to their destiny and their overwhelming and over powering love for eachother that they discovered in a matter of few days. No doubt their Love and Destiny are the most important factors that have made Milind-Prachi, Michi…They are ONE! But there have been other factors aswell which are just as important and add to the reason of Michi's relationship, which has not only gone to strengthen their relationship but will hold fort for them against all forces that will try to separate them. Before I will go ahead, lets get practical in this issue…I am basing this discussion mostly on facts and the capabilities, strengths and weakness of 4 main characters and how the characters have behaved in the last 4 months.
Ok… one more important note is… This is going to be very very VERY Long… so read it at your own risk😕😆!
Now lets see a scenario of Michi not married and not even Neev-Ayesha. The story takes off after Inder's death.
Ayesha seeks revenge against the Shahs and Prachi is only willing to bare the brunt of that anger for the sake of delivering justice to Ayesha and Amrutha. Neev is with Prachi and Milind comes down and figures out what has happened and sides Ayesha in this revenge drama. Do you all have any idea what would have happened if Milind had fought Ayesha's war😕? You love the guy or hate him… but there is no denying the fact that he most powerful guy on the show and he is able to dictate terms to all and sundry. When he talks… there is no scope for Negotiation…. He says it… It is Final! No one changes his decisions… he himself has to(and the only person capable of making him see another option is, Prachi). And he has proven beyond doubt what he is capable of when he seeks revenge. He is plain cold, calculative, manipulative and moves in with such swiftness that before u realise what struck you, he has taken you down! You are Finished! If he would have set out to destroy the Shahs… What would have happened to the Shahs? WHO would have been able to stand up to Milind and challenge him? And before one can say Neev… think again…can he really? When the guy was helpless infront of Ayesha… standing upto Milind seems out of the question itself😕. So who is left? Prachi😕? Alaap😕? There just is NO ONE! Not only the Shah family would have been finished, their legacy wiped out!
After Inder's death the entire responsibility of the Shah family fell on Prachi's shoulders… do u think Neev would have shouldered that responsibility with her? Responsibility of a huge family, a business empire and a guilty past! If he was that capable…. then why isnt he able to support himself and his family in the current scenario😕??? If he had understood that Prachi has a lot more responsibility on her, may be he would have understood a lot more things. But Neev's problem was that he was never used to Prachi going against what he thinks…because all these years he was thinking for her! When Prachi went against him, he couldn't handle it… be it Prachi supporting the Mishras during the Sukruti fiasco or Prachi's friendship/concern with/for Ayesha… he just couldn't take it. When Prachi acted weird… he actually bought the story of her being moneyminded… so much for the 20 years of friendship and understanding😕! In front of pressure the guy simply succumbed without a fight or an effort to fight. And he married Ayesha… and that surely isnt Martyrdom infront of my eyes.
Back to the assuming Michi hadn't married.
Even after Milind would have helped Ayesha destroy the Shahs… Ayesha wont have been satisfied because Neev-Prachi were still together. She would have gone ahead to destroy even that. And she would have targeted Neev so badly… And Prachi would have distanced him for herself to save him from Ayesha's wrath. And Ayesha was never a believer of marriage… and esp after the entire Inder saga coming out, she would have become even more bitter…. So she settling in domesticity with Milind seems pretty vague to me😕. On the other hand what would have happened is Milind's interaction with Prachi would have increased due to the Inder Shah murder mystery investigation or otherwise. Being the silent observer that he is and the fact that a strange vulnerability in him comes about infront of Prachi… he would have started thinking if he is doing the right thing….On finding out the truth(like he did before he plugged in all the options for Prachi to refuse his proposal!), He would have tried to stop Ayesha and the effect would have left Ayesha more enraged because of Milind's stand😡. This way or that Milind would have gotten drawn towards Prachi. And an act of foolishness from Ayesha would have ended up Milind losing it completely and stepping into save Prachi's honour😳. Like the way he did in Turkey when Ayesha was blasting Prachi and Neev didn't open his mouth in defense knowing very well Prachi was innocent… Milind just took Prachi away and stayed by her through out the trip😳.
So even if Michi's relationship didn't start with marriage… they would have ended up together because of their priorities in life are the same even though their temperaments are very different.
Now lets see the impact of Michi's marriage.
1) Ayesha's revenge drama came to an end immediately with Milind stepping in front of Prachi as her armour👏. Milind had his own agenda in doing so… but the result is that Ayesha's blind fury towards the Shah family came to an end👏. All her energies were shifted towards breaking up Michi now… and god wiling their relationship didn't just survive each blow but went from strength to strength😳.
2) Shah Family is safe… the legacy of Inder Shah lives on with Milind taking over the business Ayesha, Alaap and Prachi managed to drown😡. At the home front as well, Milind has taken the responsibility of being the man of the house. He provides, protects that family like his own and their happiness is as much a priority for him. He shouldered Prachi's responsibility of being the eldest child of the family…without coming across as a favour….which deserves a special mention because he had begun with a motive of seeking revenge from the same family👏. Gone are his ages of hatred towards that family, He respects them and they adore him aswell. Premlata and Dadi dot on him and Sukruti with motherly affection and their concern is so genuine😊. Bobby and Soumya who were against him because he was Mishraji's son adore him now. They were scared of him to begin with and now they have the liberty to tease & play with him and get him smile aswell😃. He is willing to give Alaap a second chance for the sake of Prachi and Premlata😊. He has kept the traditions of the Shah family intact…. whatever they decide Party, Puja or Picnic… he gracefully plays the host for their happiness👏. What he has managed so beautifully is that he has kept Inder legacy alive… but alongside that he stands tall with his own identity and the identity of his that he brings to that family👏. He is never referred to as the Shah's Son in Law…but the Shahs are referred to as his family now.
3) And I think Prachi shouldering Milind's responsibility of his family is only too obvious and well defined in the show👏👏👏, as a matter of fact have gone over board with that… esp with the Sukruti fiasco😕.
4) And more importantly what really worked for Michi in their marriage is… in between the commitment and duty towards eachother and their families… they have grown to respect eachother and more importantly realise that they are actually eachother's soulmate. They have grown together, became more mature and responsible individuals, They have grown towards eachother in these few months. They have found love in its most unconditional form with in eachother and their destiny together is blessed and they survive and will continue to survive any and every crisis😳.
Now coming to Inder Shah's influence in Prachi's life.
What one misses out when u talk about Neev-Prachi's happy days and how cheerful and happy Prachi was with him and what Neev did for her… is the Inder Shah influence in their lives. Inder Shah was far more important and influential in Prachi's life than Neev. Inder had made Prachi life so secure, that Prachi didn't have to worry about anything else… she always had her dad to fall back on…So Neev really didn't have a responsibility in its real meaning…. So he as carefree, fooled around and made Prachi laugh. When Inder died… not only did the bubble he had made to protect Prachi break and left her facing the real world, he left a void in her life and his share of legitimate and illegitimate responsibilities to shoulder. Prachi suddenly grew up… she was no more the girl running around and laughing about. She has serious business on hand to take care of… and whatever she went to do, matters kept getting worse😕… She needed a partner who could take control of the situation and at the same time understand her point of view and her priorities… and that came from almost a complete stranger. And he wasn't doing a favour… he came with his baggage and priorities that Prachi needed to shoulder.
Coming to Milind's influence in Prachi's life:-
Milind did NOT replace Neev in Prachi's life. The place, the right and the responsibility Milind has in Prachi's life NEVER belonged to anyone to take it. It is sad that Milind vs Neev over Prachi bottles down to plain romantic feelings and how often Prachi smiled😕. Milind along with his responsibility of being a Husband to Prachi, he has taken on ALL the responsibility of Inder and all the protective concern of Neev's. So that by itself places Milind as the most important person in Prachi's life…over her father, over her friend/ex boy friend! Milind is way beyond important in Prachi's life to compare and challenge his position… even a 20 year relationship (His and Prachi's…i.e Ayesha and Neev) will not hold its ground in front of his relationship with Prachi!
The Inder – Milind equation: -
Milind in the story isnt pitted to fill the place of Neev… he is here to occupy the place of Inder. If you see the synopsis of the story… it is a tale of two sisters who invariably have found themselves pitted against eachother for their right… It was Inder Shah, their father all these years. And now it is Milind Mishra. Both the sisters love him… one has a legitimate right on him and the other doesn't. And the Saga of the sisters go on and on. If u see in terms of the casting… Inder was the most powerful character till he lasted…he was the central character, everything moved around him….which is why Ekta went in for stalwarts like Monish Bhel & Ronit Roy, even though it was a cameo. When Prachi was introduced she was introduced as Prachi Inder Shah, Inder Shah's daughter… that was her identity. Till Inder lasted the story belonged to him primarily and his relationship with his daughter and Prachi-Neev's track came 2nd.😕
When Inder was around, Milind never had anything to do… because his role would unfurl only after Inder's exit. All were against Milind's attitude in life… it was only Inder who appreciated him and forecasted 'Watch out for this guy, He will rule one day and on his terms.'😳 The scene before Milind's entry had Inder and Mishraji talking… That conversation began with a father worried about his daughter's marriage and conversation ended with the father showing so much of faith in his future son in law😃! And what is amusing if you see the scene now is that Mishraji is assuring Inder that all will be well with Prachi's marriage and that his family(he and Sukruti are already here and Milind can come aswell) is here to ensure that…and loved Inder to refuse Milind's help but call him to be a part of the celebrations😛…damad se kaam thodi na karvayega😆. Inder introduced Milind to the story... with a very Dramatic & Defining 'Jo log Duniya ke sath chalte hain wo taraqi zarur karte hain, lekin jo duniya dhari ki mu nahi dekti ek din duniya unhe dekti rehjati hai… kyunki wo Bulandi par hote hain. Ab Taraqi aur Bulandi mein farak tho hota hai'👏 And that smile & look Inder gave as he finished it was like 'Ask me I have been through that ' The next scene is The Matki hung higher than usual, and everyone trying to reach it but failing, then Milind walked in a lazy confident stride…began his ascend and was there at the 'Bulandi' that reckoned him and he had conquered it👏. Everyone who have met Inder have bowed in front of him… for love, respect or fear… It was only Milind who looked into his eyes with an attitude 'So what if you are Inder Shah'😕😆 and Inder smiling at that & welcoming Milind never the less send strong indications of how pivotal Milind's role is😊.
Inder held center stage in terms of defining the direction of the show…after his death, they gave the story a month's time to go wrong… after which Milind would step in to get the story moving. Inder's death brought this story to a point from where the actual story was said to take off(source Monish Bhel's interview😊)… Milind's entry into the story was to determine which way this story will take(According to the Promo😊). He had to decide who he would side Prachi or Ayesha and he chose Prachi…and the rest as they say is History... in its literal sense😊! Many would say the story is about Neev-Prachi's saath Kayamath tak because that is what the promo said… but when Milind was introduced, it was clearly stated he is going to shift the focus and direction of Prachi's life and mind you he was a complete stranger and he had to break through Inder and Neev to influence Prachi Or Prachi was required to break those barriers and come to him…if that was the requirement of Michi's future... the guy is simply Made for Her😳 because no one else could break those barriers or Prachi wouldnt leave that behind for anyone else.
When Prachi's fairy tale bubble burst with Inder's death and she found herself facing the Big Bad World and Neev being a part of that fairytale…didn't help much, he was just as lost😕. That is when Milind stepped into her life and stood by her… at times infront of her protecting her from the Big Bad world, or sometimes backing her up, there have been times when he has stood against her aswell. Prachi Inder Shah is now Prachi Milind Mishra… and there is a lot of difference in both of them… Prachi has grown in that process and has found herself, she is more confident of the person that she is, she has finally found the courage to voice her opinion and stand by it. It is not that only Milind has been a positive influence on Prachi's life…it is Mutual. They are eachother's silent strength, their support system, Their emotional security and stability, their faith and Love. If Prachi's faith in Milind has made her confident and courageous, Milind's faith in Prachi puts his troubled spirit and soul at peace.
For every daughter, her father is the ultimate hero… you want your life partner to be like him….which is where Milind scored with his striking resemblance to Inder along with his own unique charm. Her pride in being called Prachi Mishra will talk volumes for that😳. Milind and Inder were both sober, quiet, hardworking and complete family men… Inder and Milind's journey to success and the way they have handled it is very similar. Prachi being the Papa's girl was in awe of Milind when she saw the same in him and respected him for that. Which is why Prachi found it easier to confide in Milind about her father's murder mystery and her reasons for penance for the mistakes her father made. Milind didn't approve of it but surely understood… He called her mad and said No I am Mad and walked away😆. Which I think is why after he forgave Ayesha for her betrayal and despite his annoyance with Neev…he hasn't told them to leave his house. I could be wrong here… but I feel he is silent because he knows that Prachi's way of repentance for her father's mistake is by giving Ayesha a sense of belonging which their father couldn't.
Milind-Prachi's Priorities in life:-
When you talk about Milind and Prachi… it is never only about them… It is also about their family. When u talk about Michi… u also talk about Sukruti, Mishraji, Premalata and Ramu Kaka😆. Milind never speaks for himself… it is always about 'My/Your/Our Family' and that is a sentiment Prachi shares aswell. From the time they have got married their priority has been their family… and both of them have worked to ensure that their family is a happy one. They have sidestepped their own aspirations and happiness for the sake of their family… and if these selfless souls found eachother in that process, found real happiness, found love that completes them… why is the world having a problem with that😕? Just because the past they left behind is sad😕? They have devoted everybit of their energy and emotions towards their family and they are wrong for that😕? If Milind & Prachi break up... it wont be a break up of two people… it will be shattering a complete huge family that they hold together. The Peace, Happiness of that family will be gone forever… and infront of so many people, if the two have to turn blind to their past, so be it(By choice or otherwise)! Watch your family…Your grandparents, Your parents… is there any denying that they are reason we have such a warm families? If that harmony was to be disturbed you can imagine the repercussions… may be that should be able to make one understand Michi a lot better before questioning their priorities or actions.
Coming to how Michi fans can support an 'Abusive' relationship… I answer this on behalf of all the Michi's fans. For us when we talk about Michi… we know it isnt about Michi alone, for Michi themselves… It is not about them alone. It is about their entire family. And if that relationship ensures the happiness of so many people and on the way Michi have fought every trail and hurdle had has challenged them and moved on from strength to strength… This relationship is beyond compare… a word like 'Abuse' doesn't become the deciding factor because it isnt a defining factor! There is far more positives that actually matter if one can only look beyond Milind's temper. What needs to be judged isnt Milind's actions but the effect that he has all around. I agree Milind tends to go over board when he is angry and can be technically termed off as 'Abusive' But why and when does Milind behave in such a manner😕. The matters he reacts to like that aren't trivial matters like 'there is too much salt in the food.' They are issues that threaten the very basis of their relationship, of their family. He has an abusive tongue, but his actions (by that I don't mean pulling, pushing) and intensions aren't abusive in nature. If the guy had stuck to his initial plan of seeking revenge… the Shahs would have been history! Milind reacts in a negatively fierce manner not because he doesn't understand but because his facts are wrong! Facts are Facts… interpretation of those facts is what is called Understanding. Now Facts are wrong by themselves… where is the question of understanding😕? Once he knows the fact and he knows he is wrong… he will not waste a moment to accept his mistake and make amends and restore harmony back. He might be abusive…but the security he restores back in no time leaves that trait of his far far behind and what more even through his foul temper…he doesn't manage to dent Prachi's confidence in him. Now from where did that confidence come from? Form the fact that Milind can be trusted with your life, with the happiness of your family… Milind will come around ultimately and will never let you lose. The warmth, security that prevails in his presence is way beyond his foul temper and tongue (which by the way can be avoided if he is taken into confidence.)
Milind is not a perfect guy… he has his limitations, but that doesn't boggle him down. He puts his best foot forward and his determination and uncompromising attitude ensures his victory. He takes his chances with life and ensures that they workout the way he wants it to. He is a classic example of 'Fortune favours the Brave.' He was brave enough to step into an unknown world in search of a career, he must have made some real risky decisions… but they paid off, He is the Toast of the Business world today. Then he decided he wanted revenge so put his life at stake, married Prachi… and look what he found, his soulmate! That guy has everything today, Money, Fame, Reputation and more importantly A Happy Family and the Love of his life as his Wife. He is where he is because he didn't let life defeat him when it challenged him, he fought, he fought to win and that victory isnt his alone…it is his family's aswell! He simply is a magnetic personality… when he steps into the frame…he becomes the focus of attention and the same happened with Prachi & the Shah Family just like the way he was the darling of his Chawl. He became the center of their lives. That should explain why Prachi's attention stays put on Milind, why her 20 years couldn't survive infront of his 3 months of presence. When u ask How can Prachi forget her 20 years for her 3 month old marriage… You have an answer right there…simple truth, she forgot… Milind did that to her…there was something simply overwhelming about him and their relationship. Milind is another classic example of 'He Came, Saw, Conquered!'😆 And Prachi has the same effect on him, he completely forgot his past, his wounds from the past healed by Prachi's serene presence😳.
And before you can ask 'WHAT has Milind done to deserve Prachi?' Pause for a minute, turn around and see the happy faces of the Shah family, Ramu Kaka included and the serene glow on Prachi's face… He is responsible for the peace and happiness on their faces after Inder left them devastated. Milind might not have given Prachi's the love of a husband in the beginning…but he surely honoured his commitments towards her priorities.
Milind is surely not the World's Best Husband… and I can confidently say He will never make it as the World's Best Husband😆… But HE IS THE BEST FOR PRACHI😳! And that is all that matters… he needs to be the Best for Prachi and not for the World😆. So if Prachi is happy with him, She has accepted him with all his vice and virtues and Love him for the same and wants to spend the rest of her life with him… The Debate ENDS! 😛
The tag line of Kayamat has been Changing relationship and Everlasting Love. Despite contrary views.... The way i see it and by the way the story is headed it seems like Everlasting Love came in with Changed Relationships. Relatioships have changed from Neev-Prachi, Milind-Ayesha to Michi and Neev-Ayesha. Michi have proved that they have found their everlasting Love... now it is time to shift focus to Neev-Ayesha and see their relationship reach a more fullfiling and fruitful destination😳
