After appointing Varun Ish Nanda as her personal associate in May, Ekta Kapoor has now designated him the lead actor in Koi Jaane Kya Hoga

Varun Ish Nanda

When Varun Ish Nanda joined Ekta Kapoor as her personal associate this May, the last thing that he dreamt was being cast as the lead actor in one of her shows just after four months of being in Balaji Telefilms. Recently, Ekta decided that Varun will play the lead actor in Koi Jaane Kya Hoga.

While the first part of Koi Jaane Kya Hoga had Prachi Desai as the lead actress, Anita Hassanandani has now been approached to play the lead actress opposite Varun in the second part.

It is learnt that Varun bagged the role while he was narrating the show's concept to Ekta. She believed that Varun perfectly fit the bill as a rich spoilt brat in the show. This isn't the first time that Varun has acted in a Balaji show. He was earlier seen in a blink-and-you-miss-it appearance in Kasauti Zindagii Kay and Kasturi.

Varun said, "I play Rahul Raichand, son of Bollywood's biggest producer and the next super star in the making. He is someone who is full of himself and is always surrounded by pretty girls. The role is quite close to the lives of many superstars. I can relate to the role as I too led a carefree life before I joined Balaji."

The Delhi-based boy who is a computer engineer by profession, adds, "Acting happened by chance. I have done theatre in my college days. It feels good to watch myself on screen. Being behind the camera gives me the creative satisfaction that I seek, while acting makes me feel good about myself. I am happy doing both. "

Suraj Rao, Script Head of the show, says, "Yes. Varun is acting in the show. He plays a rich film producer's son who gets into trouble and tries to find his way out. He had done some small roles before Ekta decided to cast him as the lead actor for this show."

Varun's look will be inspired from John Abraham's look in Dhoom. He will also be seen driving high-end cars and riding sports bikes. The show's shooting will commence on October 12.
As Varun wants to direct, he will soon take up course in direction also.

I was thinking the same thing, and plus about a month or so ago, a article came out saying BT is starting its Kya haadsa ka haqeeqat serial again with Prachi finalised as the main lead😕 Good luck to Prachi, she sure will need it.

Koi jaane kya hoga is the sequel of Kya haadsa kya haqeeqat.... And I think Prachi is there only for the first story which last for some 7 or 10 episodes... If articles are to be beleived then she already shot few episodes for the show..

I think the above guy is going to be taken for the second story... I don't know how Prachi is going to manage all these together May be more body doubles....

Why does every Kekta show have to have a rich, spoilt hero and a virtuous, middle-class heroine? 😡

I'm so tired of watching the same crap - the rich guy initially dislikes the poor girl; the girl continues to take his insults without fighting back; they have a million heated arguments on the issue of middle-class sanskaars versus the upper class lifestyle. One day the girl does something to save the guy from getting in trouble - usually by taking the blame for his misdeeds. The guy begins to "realize" his feelings but the girl's father fixes her rishta elsewhere. Her fiance turns out to be a jerk/psycho/gold-digger who's only planning to marry her for his own benefit. The hero manages to arrive at the heroine's mandap and then creates a dramatic scene by first confessing his feelings and then revealing that the groom is a traitor. The wedding gets called off and the lead pair hooks up, followed by tons of lovey-dovey scenes, songs and dream sequences. A week later a bunch of vamps and villains blow them apart by creating misunderstandings. The girl then gets married to the guy's best friend/brother/sworn enemy. The hero vows to get her back, but she starts lecturing him on how she is a sanskari married woman and would like to spend the rest of her life only with her pati parmeshwar, whom she considers the best human being on the planet.

It's so irritatingly repetitive that the charm is gone, no matter how attractive the leading pair is! Ekta should try something new for a change.

Thanks for sharing the article! 😊
