Zee's second general entertainment channel is inching towards its television launch. The channel recently unveiled its logo and tagline Dil Wahi Dhadkan Nayi. As the name suggests, the channel is targetted at the hot'n'happening GenX. Delving on the brand identity, Punit Goenka, ZeeNext commented, "The logo resonates the attributes of the channel, namely, young, fresh and contemporary and hence the choice of the colour." He further added that the tagline has an emotional connect. "We have tried to bond with our loyal audiences of Zee TV by giving a younger treatment to the traditional stories that they have been seeing in the past," he said. Looks like every other channel is targetting the youth like the forthcoming Bindaass. Finally, they have something they can lay claim to... exclusively. Ajai to make a film for Sahara Ajai Sinha who was a staunch Zee supporter for over a decade and producing and directing half-a-dozen serials for them, switched to Sahara One last year with Ghar Ek Sapna. He is all set to strengthen his Sahara association with a new serial Ancchui which will mark Nikki Aneja's comeback. We've heard that he is also making a film which will be produced by Sahara. Its interesting to note that people who have left Zee are being happily accommodated by Sahara. The last time this happened was when the half the Maayka cast walked out of the serial because of a change in the production house. The evicted producer is said to be making a serial similar to Maayka for Sahara with the very cast that walked out with her! |
