Pasand & Pyar, any difference?

Prachi tells herself that 'Milind mujhe pasand hai' or words to that effect. Personally, I feel the word 'pasand' is a little tame compared to 'pyar'. Doesn't the former just mean 'like'?

But the way Prachi was behaving when Milind said he wanted a divorce, it wasn't a case of simply 'like' though.

Does anyone have an opinion on this queer semantic difference?...If there's a difference, ie.

I am glad aap ne post daala Pippa Ji... I did notice this semantic difference and also yeah the significance of the use of the word...and further to our lil conversation, am posting my thoughts on your suggestion...

Pasand in literal sense means " To Like" and Pyar does mean "Love"...But I suppose thats where the semantic differences end...

But when one considers the phonetic references of these words, Pasand has a more delicate , and tender essence associated with it and all the more when used in relation with feelings associated with a person, as opposed to Pyar that is more hard hitting in the face...a tone of a stronger , established and rooted feeling towards something or someone !
Pasand when uttered , leaves one with a light , delicate sense of a beginning of something tender... something light and breezy yet that touches you deep within.... Like the cool summer breeze, that does touch one deep within and reminds of one of all the tender , beautiful memories, one holds dear....

Now as far as I relate to Prachi and Milind, here are my thoughts...

Prachi took on the abiding by her marriage , as a vow she had taken in front of the sacred fire and not out of her love for Milind...
But it was a tender realization that dawned on her that she had begun to enjoy Milind's company and his presence in her life... and actually looked forward... it was the beginning of a something beautiful, that could turn into something deeper... and stronger...
Her light moments with Milind had touched her deep like the cool summer breeze... that made her realize... that those light moments could bring her such happy moments to cherish....

So goes for Milind... Its not love as yet, but its a lil deeper than pasand for him, by virtue of being a man, where even gentle and tender things are often perceived by them in a stronger sense...and also protective of something that was so fragile and tender.... (e did talk abt it and aapne suggest kiya tha and I completely agreed isiliye I mentioned it again here)

Its not as strong as love , but it has stepped past Pasand for him, to be able to express it to her the way he did...

For me the use of the word Pasand... signified her gravitating to the essence of a deeper connection , of wanting to hold to the beautiful feeling that being with Milind gave her... and hence her use of the word Pasand...

On a different tangent , its her wanting to be together, forever, enjoying the companionship of Milind ... and jus a beginning of a realization ... which would only deepen and strengthen with time...

Prachi loves our Millu but has still not realised it to admit it. Her love is far deeper than what she felt for Neev. Give the girl some time to get used to it. She will admit it.

To me definitely pyaar n pasand r different...

Pasand is 'like' like u said n pyaar is 'love'...I guess so far sacrifice queen has only realised she 'pasands' Miland (that sounds funny 😆 ) n has yet to realise she loves Miland..

Im not too gud at explaining but the two r very apart frm each other...

In any case, even pasand is a big thing in Michis case since this marriage started off as a deal...No feelings...No expectations...Having to cum to like ur partner is a big thing for Prachi as she never imagined to ever like him in that special manner she does...I guess for her, her feelings havent reached that level that she considered it pyaar but we all knw it sure has 😳

I'll have to agree with Sareeta on this one...i think the feeling that both Milind and Prachi share are much more deeper than an liking for each other..

I would personally say, they are on the verge of falling in love..but not yet in love...you the point were you more than like the person but you don't know whether you are in love...

I think that's where M&P are right now.... 😳

Aww...Sahli....been busy with SATAM preparation..the one in which we keep the stove closed for a day...thus was not around......God the week seemed sop long adn our duffer did what eh does best ...show how bigger a duffer he can be...he does take the cake for that.😆

But loved the way he snubbed Ayesha big time...thre he was great...loved him for that.

So hockey for his dufferness....in letting Prachi go and not stopping her...nad kissess for snubbing Ayesha.😉😆
