Prachi woke up early in the morning.She knew she had to complete all her chores before her husband in the next room wakes up,she hurriedly went inside the bathroom and after twenty minutes she ran from the same in her pink robe towards the kitchen.She stood near the counter with spatula in her hand musing over the meal for the breakfast today.She continuously chewed on her lower lip and then thought of half-fry ,coffee with rusted toast.
Milind yawned sitting on bed and looked at the time he wondered where was his six months legally wedded wife he was about to get up when he heard door creaking and knew at once she came with his morning coffee which she never forgot'Milind smiled and said 'good morning',Prachi timidly said 'good morning' and kept his coffee beside him on the table attached to the bed,she then proceeded to his wardrobe,took out a suit and went to iron it.Milind watched her every movement in deep silence,he was worried for her.Every day was the same for the past six months'she would get up,ready his breakfast,iron his clothes and come to his office at noon with lunch and so on'He admits their marriage was an unusual one,she was betrothed with his brother but due to his secretive marriage with a blonde he was at last bound to marry her at the altar.He hated this notion of marriage but one look in her eyes and knew no one suffered the loss as much as she did!She doesn't need to behave like a slave for free'she hardly argued or suggested something and he knew the time has come to make their marriage work and for that he will do anything.
He buttoned his cuffs and saw her keeping files for him in his briefcase frustrated at her lack of enthusiasm he approached her and held her hand,her hand stopped at once at his shocking act true they were like friends but he never showed any such intimacy,she could practically inhale his cologne 'she knew he wasn't even an inch behind,just a step behind and her back with collide with his front as if sensing her chain of thoughts he took a step affront and all that was on her mind blurred the thought with that one touch.
It was not friendly and both knew it,still her hand was encapsulated in his reign with her body pressed against his when he said 'you don't need to do all the work,give yourself some time',she said in a low voice, 'I don't know what else to do,I have all the time of the world' slowly he turned her around and said 'don't do this to yourself,I feel I have failed myself in proving to be quite a good husband,its you who is levied with all the responsibility while I simply enjoy the comfort'she lifted her eyes to his and said 'I am your wife,its my duty to attend your needs'he hit his head with hers and said 'god!i am going to thrash you very badly Prachi and believe me I am very good at it'she had again downcast her eyes and remained mum when he irritatedly said 'I think its time we go on a long vacation which has been due for quite a sometime'her anxious and imploring eyes turned wide and she said 'but-you have to go to work,we came to New York because of your business'he twigged her nose and said 'my business is doing pretty well,thankyou!i think its time we work on our marriage'she gulped at this mention but only said 'ok'Milind at once left her and said 'god!for damn sake atleast argue for once,say something I am really tired of this cold relationship'.if you are not ready for this relationship just say,you know you don't have to agree to me all the times'he angrily left her and stood out in the balcony.
After a minute he felt her hands creeping on his back,he stiffened when she turned him around and bit on her lip to form a sentence,he noticed tears at the end of her eyes before he could say something she said 'I am sorry,I am trying to work this out'you wont leave me like others right?'he could feel her heart thumping inside her chest loudly when he hugged her tight and said 'you fool!i would have never left you even if you had asked me'I bloody hell want you for this birth and even for next six if only you learn to say something'she should have laughed or atleast smiled but all she did was weep.He said humorously 'neighbors will get me arrested for harassing such a beautiful lady'she pulled a little and looked at his face and said 'next week can we go to India?'he was elated she suggested something for once but India,where the reason for her sorrow is buried dampened his elation a little.He nodded and said 'very well,then its next week but I thought you would say something like oh milind lets escape from here and run away somewhere no one exists except us'she laughed at his dramatic tune and said 'well you are my husband I don't need to run away with you'but from you can be an option'she giggled while he looked at her as if she was an alien and for once she was' man!she was laughing and giggling,he almost forgot how beautiful she looks while laughing'he shook his head and muttered maybe things were working out.
Prachi stood shocked this was the eight bouquet of this evening,she kept it in her room and smiled Milind never paid this much attention to her ever and it felt good to know someone is there who wants to make you feel special and indeed she felt,but deep down she felt a twinge of pain knowing that because of her his life turned upside down,he never had the chance to fall in love and marry his love'choice wasn't in his options,she was guilty maybe he could have led a happily married life in pure bliss but she deprived him of that.She sat on her bed and wept and thanked her stars he wasn't around.She didn't know when she fell asleep and woke up at the sound of door-bell.She rubbed her groggy eyes and left bed to attend the door,she opened the door to find him with a bouquet she took it without saying another word and left for her room.Milind stood bewildered did he do something unintentionally to make her cry,she couldn't deceive his eyes, her puffy and very much red eyes showed she was crying but instead of nagging her of that he quickly washed his face and hands and joined dining table for the dinner,she settled his plate and served him'.he felt as if he was alone in that room..
'whats the matter Prachi'he asked when she was about to go to her room when she said 'nothing'he said softly 'have dinner with me,please'but she said 'I already had it'for a minute they both were silent when he left his morsel and went in his room without eating anything,Prachi watched his retreated back and tears pooled in her eyes,how could she again hurt him?she wiped her eyes and took his plate in his room.She knocked but he hardly responded,she went inside,she saw him angrily looking for his lighter in his pocket with a unburned cigarette in his mouth'she sat down beside him and threw away his cigarette.His dangerous eyes caused goosebumps on her skin but she hardly cared and took a piece of chapatti dipped it in the vegetable and offered him,he turned around but she held his cheeks turned his face to hers and said 'I'll have my dinner,first you have yours,please!'inspite of being angry he opened his mouth at her command and one by one she fed him each morsel like feeding her own child.She took his plate out and he lied on his bed with a smile atleast his angers matters to her'
Prachi turned in her bed for umpteenth time,she was sorry but she hadn't said that to him'immediately she threw her covers slipped her small feet in her slippers tied her robe and went to his room.She chewed on her lips nervously waiting outside deciding whether to go or not but atlast she turned the knob'there he was sitting with his laptop on his lap,he saw her with surprise and shut his laptop at once.She muttered 'can I sleep with you for today?'he was now really surprised but then scooted over to give her space,she closed the door,slipped off her slippers and joined him on bed and lied down.Milind turned off the lights and joined her with his back towards her,he closed his eyes but it jerked open when he found her hand coming to rest over his chest'.god!what the bloo*y hell she had in her mind,didn't she know what was she doing to him..he heard her saying 'I am sorry!'he shut his eyes and said to himself he wouldn't turn around knowing with this intimacy where they'll end up ..but something pushed him and he turned aroun
He mentally cursed himself for turning for she looked ethereal under moonlight her features outlined her beauty.He caressed her cheeks in a friendly manner and said 'its ok'but it hardly remained friendly when she closed her eyes and leaned on him in anticipation for more.His lips shivered as it touched her eyes,nose,cheeks and then lips all his self-control at once snapped and found immense pleasure in it.His lips went down to her neck and deftly his hands worked on removing her clothes'they both knew this was the level after where there is no turning,their platonic relationship will earn a level.He slowly removed all their inhibitions,she looked at him with imploring as well as fearful eyes when he said 'I wont ever hurt you or leave you and you should know that'she hugged him at his soothing words but then felt a sheer pain,she bit his shoulder to escape any sound but then it evaporated in the thin air and all she remembered was pure pleasure and gentle passion,she was his now in every possible way'she shuddered at this evasion of herself but somewhere she knew he completed her empty soul today..
He watched her sleeping tucked under his arms and felt an unknown emotion she was his now completely but what that her choice?he took away her prized possession but he wondered just being a husband gives him that right,he remembered her pained expression and thought 'maybe it wasn't your choice''he knew to be a good wife she could do anything and feared if this was also one of those things!
Last part
Prachi slowly opened her eyes and squinted them as morning rays disturbed her'okay why the hell the curtains weren't drawn?she looked around..okay so why the hell she is in her husbands' room?remember..remember'she groaned well remembering wasn't that tuff afterall she was and in her senses.Why the hell she asked him to sleep here with him?It would be too embarrassing to face him knowing it was her who was 51% responsible,she was drawn to his chest with his arm protectively tugging at her waist,she struggled to turn and look at him,on having success she looked at his sleeping form he was looking cute,her vermilion over his chest and she knew this wasn't the feeling she wanted'there was no regret!
With one last look at him,she knew she better go now there were practically three options one to strip this sheet,wrap herself around it but expose him naked'.second,to somehow pull over her nightsuit which was practically at the other side of the room and if he wakes up and see her then he'll have a good look at her,it wasn't that he didn't know her every organ now but during day-and third option is to dash like current towards the bathroom.She drummed her lips and thought option 3 practically and ideally suitable for now'she struggled to free herself from his grip and when she attained quite an achievement she turned red looking at her.
Prachi heavily sighed closing bathroom door lest her husband see his wife parading nude,the very first thing in the morning.She for a moment seemed to gaze the surroundings,it was his bathroom she was going to use,she touched his toiletries and his aroma filled her sensation'suddenly she froze completely looking wonderfully at the object affront her,it was she in the mirror,her neck was little red with his bites but it wasn't the physical appearance that stole her eyes rather the glow on her face and gleam in her eyes,she touched herself she was now Mrs.Prachi Milind Mishra truly'oh!how long she awaited for this moment she didn't know'oh! Yes she knows she had thought of being completely his,dreamed about him since she her high school but providence has another twist that he never took interest in her.How she got jealous with any girl getting his attention and see her fate she was to be a daughter-in-law in Mishra household but for his elder brother'.but now she knows whatever happens,happens for the best..but what if Milind regretted?maybe he'll say sorry and never get close to her again but she would not say sorry or something like that,it was her special night and how can she be sorry for such a wonderful gift of her life.She quickly took bath and left his room in his robe.
She changed herself in a suit and went to prepare his breakfast glancing at the clock every now and then,if only this clock rotates quick enough'
Milind rubbed his eyes and sat with his head against the headboard,his eyes looked at her garments at the other hand and memories of last night turned fresh,he groaned it shouldn't be the first thing to remember in the morning,he wasn't going to say anything regarding last night because it was their night and their relationship have taken the pace,it wasn't platonic anymore moreover being husband-wife they had to take this step someday or the other and also because he read in silly girly novels how they apologize and both suffers at each others cost thinking the other might be regretting,reading silly mills and boons novel was one of his secret but that wasn't his concern now,he was her husband and he has no reason whatsoever to regret.A smile curved at the end of his lips thinking about last night,she was so giving,passionate yet compassionate.
His sat straight when the door creaked and she came in with his coffee'he was somewhat apprehensive about her reaction but her smile told him like him she wasn't regretting,his lips conceived a smile and she reciprocated the same.
"you okay?"he asked taking mug from her hands.He looked her color turning from golden to pink.She merely nodded in affirmation and began to clean his room'.as she was cleaning her eyes caught her garments including under garments on the floor,god!she forgot to take them'if she picks it up infront of him it would be too embarrassing and if she doesn't he'll know because she's keeping everything at place except the mess on the floor,she colored herself with the prospect of him watching her.He saw her looking at her clothes on the floor and knew she needs sometime alone to clean this mess.He kept his cup on the table and walked into bathroom when suddenly he came back to Prachi who was nervously arranging all the items systemically over his dressing table.She knew he was behind her but didn't make it transparent.She felt his hand over her shoulders and she knew she's be lost,he turned her over and looking at her flushed face,he took it in his palm uplifted it and then his lips touched her forehead like a dew embracing morning rose,she knew now things would be normal between them and he had accepted her with all his self,she courageously drew her hands at his back and hugged him.
It was over a week now since their consummation but today prachi was nervous for she had to at any cost confess her profound love to him,she had to tell her love is beyond their physical intimacies for she has only loved him with all her heart and soul and bosy was just a gesture to portray it.She nervously got ready and made her way down.Milind was busy checking his mobile in his pocket but when he saw his wife he was in awe,she was a heaven beauty in a creamy Indian suit he bought for her a day before something about her even in full-clothes make him daft,her dangles clicked and produced a hymn when she took a step,her glowly skin added fuel to the fire and he had second thoughts about taking her to the dinner and he thought he better not ogle.He entwined his arms with hers and lightly pressed his lips to his cheeks telling her silently he was so lucky to have her in his life but she thought it was a compliment for looking acknowledgeable tonight'little did she know his love wasn't trapped in the temptation of outer beauty.
Prachi nervously thumbed her fingers over the table,Milind was in the washroom'she gulped her act would demand a lot of courage and is far too daring but isn't he worth it!yes he is..Milind came out wiping his hands with his handkerchief when he looked up his stood still'he hasn't lost his senses but their was his wife,yes his very wife Prachi standing on the table,he slowly made way towards her when she looked at him and said to him'
"Miilind,its not everyday everyone gets lucky but with you I am enjoying this treat'had it not been you I would have been on roads in tarts or even worst in bits and pieces'you provided me with shelter and almost everything but what I treasure most is your indefinable support and that no matter where I am you stand with me,it doesn't matter to me you love or not but I surely do so with every fiber of my being"she looked around at everyone who were now crowding her near the table and then at Milind who was trying to taki it slowly,his mouth turned o shaped and she knew it's the time,she said softly "for the most perfect hubby.."

She choked suddenly as the film of tears took her control and then she stopped ,she so badly loved him'maybe she has embarrassed Milind why was everyone so quite she wondered looking down at the table but she suddenly gave a shriek sound when her Herculean took her waist and like a sack carried her on his back'now everyone cheered with whistles,applauses and Prachi hid her face in her hands,did she really do that'she looked at everyone's face'yes she really did that'
Epilogue-
Prachi shifted in bed at the sounds disturbing her..she opened her eyes and saw Milind playing with their bundle of joy at THIS hour,she smiled slowly'her limbs were tired like hell.Milind saw her lying with open eyes and smiling,he took sabhya and made him kiss his mama,sabhya gave her a wet cheek and Milind settled his baby beside his wife,he watched his wife lovingly turning over and gathering their baby in her cocoon.
Milind too laid himself on bed with his head propped up on his elbows and watched the mesmerizing scene here his tired yet beautiful wife nursed and fed his son,he watched her smiling and touching sabhya's feet with delight,as sabhya suckled Milind chest inflated knowing this was the joy they created together'.he always loved babies so he was happy when he heard they were going to be parents but who knew it would be such a different,wonderful and never before feeling of holding your baby for the first time knowing that you are the creator,somehow the first sight bought tears to both the parents'.he never knew he ever had parental instincts but with his baby it came automatically like keeping pillows to both the sides and many others but amongst everything he was thankful for his wife for being such a wonderful person she is..she gave him love,care,support and now this joy.She was the strength now he knew how painful those hours of labour looked like and she endured it,now he knew mothers exact place and after god!he respected them.
He looked at her she was so weak that she had to lie down and feed rather than taking sabhya on lap but it touched him how she never forgot his feeding sessions and even never complained,she was a born mother.He watched their baby pulling his mouth away and drifting into slumber with his beloved wife patting over his back as he snuggled to her bosom.Milind gently took his son and with his eyes asked Prachi to free him,he then settled him in the crib and made towards his cupboard.
Prachi drowsily watched Milind something in his cupboard,she closed her eyes when minutes later Milind slowly jerked her..
"hey,jaan wake up",he touched her cheeks lovingly and saw her looking at him with drowsy and imploring eyes.
He sat down on bed and with a swift pulled her on his lap holding her,Prachi rested her head on his chest and closed her eyes when he kissed her forehead and said "look at this!"
Prachi opened her eyes and looked at him switching on the button of web cam'she was going to ask look what a web cam?but then it showed her writhing in pain,gritting'.lying over the stretcher she was jerking her head side to side and muttering some incoherent thoughts,she was now being transferred to the maternity section'doctors towered over her to comfort her but she just moaned and cried,she gripped the edge of the bed as doctors dilated it 10mm'Prachi could see herself sweating and pushing hard and with one last stroke as the baby came out she went still and with sigh she fell asleep'
Prachi looked at him with gratitude for capturing the most wonderful event of her life,she couldn't believe he actually took all of it in cam,she touched his cheeks and said "thankyou for this wonderful gift and I wondered why you weren't there beside me obviously I was too engrossed to have seen you capturing the video"she hugged and kissed his neck
"thankyou for our baby,I just wanted to capture it because I wanted to know and feel again and again the pain you endured to give life to our love'I would always cherish you and my baby knowing all the pain you took for-"Prachi shunned him with a quick kiss and said "you know I love you but there's something else I want to confess'"when he looked clueless she said "you're my knight who rescued me from the evils of the world and I love you no because you make me happy but because you made me alive had you not been in my life I would have maybe not regretted it since I wasn't ever given a pleasure to be a part of your life but surely it wouldn't have been a life without you'"
