Part 3
Hugging her parents and sister for the last time, Panchi went into the departure hall. She saw a group of people gathered around and thinking that it might be her new show; Kayamath team, she went and stood beside them. She saw the give her a curious look when she stood by but later on began chatting away. Panchi always felt nervous when talking to people she didn't know. Taking a deep breath she asked.
"When are the others coming?"
"Who others?" Asked an elderly lady standing by. Panchi watched them one by one confused. All of a sudden, her cell began to ring. It flashed a new number and she immediately picked up.
"Hello?"
"Panchi? Shabir here"
"You are in a wrong line, turn around" And she did. She saw Shabir with two more inside the VIP lounge others waving at her with a smug smile on his face. Panchi felt her cheeks flaming up. Picking up her bag in a hurry, she walked towards them. Shabir was as usual wearing his casual clothes; a tight fitted green shirt and faded blue jeans.
"Thank you" She murmured to him as she approached. Shabir however didn't seem to hear her as she saw him looking at his watch. 'How rude'maybe he didn't hear me' Panchi shrugged and smiled at the others standing by. She smiled at the guy standing by who was eating a packet of lays. "Want some?" He asked offering him some. Panchi looked at Shabir and saw him smile at her and then to him before walking away fiddling with his cell. Panchi watched him walk away and noticed that many eyes had turned to him. And some has even started to point on to him too. They had probably recognized him but Shabir was unaware of all this as he was too busy in playing with his cell. Panchi watched as a huge flock of girls began to come towards him. Saying no, to the person who was offering her chips, she went to Shabir and tugged him back into the VIP lounge. The security guard closed the door immediately while the girls stood outside the glass windows tapping the door.
Shabir was too confused with what was happening. He felt that he was being dragged into the lounge and looking down, he saw Panchi giving him a sly smile. It wasn't long that he realized that she was only saving him. he had experienced something similar before as all, mostly girls were pushing and pulling him when he attended a function.
"You're welcome" She said before he could even say thank you. She went and sat near the same guy who was still eating his Lays. Taking a magazine, she began to flip over the pages desperately feeling homesick all of a sudden.
"Hi, I'm Jay" said the guy when Panchi looked up while he broke into a boyish grin. Smiling back, she shook his hands with him introducing her.
Shabir watched both of them talk animatedly all of a sudden laughing over something in the magazine. Seeing them laugh like school kids, Shabir too had the urge to be a part of it. He wanted to know about what amusing story they were sharing.
"Hey man, come and join us, this girl is telling the funniest story ever" jay called Shabir as he saw him watching them.
"Really? What is she saying?" Shabbir asked taking the seat opposite them. Panchi didn't even hesistate and began on to tell him.
"One of my distant nephew told his dad that he knows that babies comes out from mothers tummies" Panchi stopped and laughed and Shabir leaned forward interested. "and then he said, he don't know how they get there in the first place, he then asked his dad how" She again burst out laughing. Shabir too couldn't help let out a chuckle before asking what the boy's father told him.
"Shabir, he didn't say anything and was just hemming and hawing finally his son said that he doesn't have to make up and its okay if he doesn't know the answer" all three burst out laughing at the same time. the three shared some more silly jokes when a flight attendant arrived and told them that their flight has scheduled and it was time to board.
"By the way Panchi" Shabir called out before she went out the lounge. "I didn't know that you talk so much" he said surprised seeing the way Panchi was talking to Jay. From the brief meetings they had, she had never talked liked that and thought that she probably dislike him.
"I know, its just that, I like being in conversation but feels very awkward when the front person don't start any" She told him. Panchi knew why he asked that so and he might probably think that she was judging him by what the media has thrashed about him and that was the reason that till then, she didn't try to talk to him much. But she knew that it wasn't true, she wanted to tell him that she knows it all. But then again, she was nervous. Nervous that she might make a fool out of herself.
"So tell me, is there any more amusing story that you might want to share?" Shabir asked handling his boarding pass to the custom officer. Panchi stood by and her eyes suddenly lit up, nervousness easing away from her. 'He's really unpredictable' Panchi thought smiling to herself. When Ekta broke the news that she was to be paired with Shabir, she thought that she might black out any moment. It still felt like a dream. She still couldn't believe her good luck that she got an opportunity to work with one of her favorites.
The boarded the plane together and the airhostess leaded them to their seat. It was a seat of two and both Shabir and Panchi's seat right next to each other. giving a small laugh panchi took the window seat while Shabir sat next to her. Jay came up all of a sudden looking upset.
"What's wrong buddy?" Shabir asked while Panchi too turned to see them.
"Nothing, I wanted a window seat and they didn't give me one"
"It's ok Jay, come sit here, I'll take your seat" Panchi said getting up. it was then an airhostess came up to them and told Jay that there was a window seat available. Looking towards the place, Jay saw a gorgeous blond sitting there and giving a shrug, he walked off and took a seat next to the blonde and started his conversation with her. Panchi saw this and sat back shaking her head smiling.
"So, I guess we are gonna be acquainted throughout this journey" Shabir winked at her. Panchi laughed at his flirtatious tone but she knew that he was only teasing her.
Buckling their seat belt, Shabir and Panchi began to talk about their upcoming show. Panchi was pretty surprised to hear that Jay was to be the second lead. When Shabir saw her surprised look, he asked her if she had any idea about it. Shaking her head she replied a no. Shabir suggested that Ekta might probably forgot to tell her about it as she is a very person. Agreeing on that, they both began to chat on as the flight took off.
After a long two hour journey, they finally reached Delhi. Clearing security check, they stepped onto the Delhi ground. Exhaling deeply, Shabir stretched his arms and announced that he was tired. Even Jay agreed on and suggested that they would first rest before starting any work. They stood outside waiting for them to be picked up. it was then, Shabir received a call from Ekta telling him that she could be making to Delhi after two days and told them to take a good rest till she could make it.
Not long, a Lexus pulled over and a person came out stating that he was their guide for the trip. Taking their bags, they got into the car and drove off to the Hyatt Regency.
Panchi's eyes widened as she saw the place where she was going to accommodate. It was more like a palace with a touch of royalty interiors. The lobby was even more fascinating than the outside. Panchi couldn't imagine how the room would be like if the outside and lobby was to be like that. She looked up to see at the huge chandelier. It was so high that she almost lost her balance and before she could hit the ground, she felt a hand around her. Opening her eyes, she saw Shabir staring down at her with a smile tugged at his lips. She smiled sheepishly at him. He pulled her up to her feet and said.
"Don't worry, it happens"
"Yeah it happens once in a million years that too only to me" Panchi replied wryly. Shabir tossed his head backwards and laughed.
'god I'm such a fool' Panchi thought feeling embarrassed.
"Guys, I'm gonna sleep, see you all later" Jay said taking his room keys from the lobby manager. "See you guys in the morning, oh and I want to go to shopping too want to buy some stuffs"
"Sure, we'll meet at the breakfast table sharp 9 then, I know a very good place for shopping its called Janpath, you can get loads of stuffs there" Shabir suggested to Jay and he agreed.
"Okay then, I'll too come with you all, want to buy some nice gifts too" Panchi spoke up hearing about shopping. Priya has specially instructed her to buy her loads of gifts when she returns back. agreeing on with the morning schedule, all retired back to their rooms. Jay, Shabir and Panchi's room were respectively side by side. Bidding good night, all three went in.
Panchi tossed and turned on her new bed which was comfortable but she was feeling homesick. She was so use to talking to her sister every night before sleeping that tonight, without her, she felt a kind of loneliness. Thinking that she should call, she picked up her cell but unfortunately there was no network in the room. She went out to the open balcony to try again. this time, the phone was busy. Thinking that she was probably talking to his fianc, Panchi thought of calling her later.
Panchi again laid on bed estimating how long it might take for her sister to finish her conversation. She couldn't even call her parents as Priya was using the landline. She looked at the clock and was surprised that it was only nine and it was only then she realized that she was hungry and she didn't had anything after the flight meal. Panchi took some money her father gave just in case and walked down to the hotel's restaurant. As she entered the grand place, she saw several couples and families having their dinner. She noticed that there was no single person who was sitting alone. Thinking that it would be too awkward to have her dinner alone, she turned her heels to go thinking that she would order room service. She was about to leave when she heard someone call out her name. She turned around and saw Shabir sitting at the far corner with a broad grin.
Shabir was bored sitting alone and having his dinner and wished that he could've asked either Panchi or Jay to join him but since they mentioned that they were tired, he decided not to disturb them. it was only then he saw Panchi entering the restaurant. He watched her carefully as she scanned the room nervously and turned to leave. he had guessed that she was feeling too nervous to eat alone and his guess was confirmed when she turned to leave.
Panchi waved back at him and approached his table. "hi, I didn't know that you would be up now" Panchi said taking a seat opposite him.
"Yeah! empty stomach don't let me sleep" he laughed and Panchi smiled when a waiter approached and she gave her order.
"I too thought that I would have to eat alone, I hate eating alone" Panchi said. 'Where's Jay? Don't he feel hungry?"
"Nah! I don't think so, he has finished almost 4 packets of Lays during the ride, I tried to call but thought that he would be sleeping so didn't disturb him"
Panchi smiled back at him and began to ask him about the places in the hotel as she had got to know that Shabir has stayed at Hyatt before. He told her about the massage place and the pool area. Their conversation went over a huge dinner and two glasses of cherry wine. Panchi saw the clock and she was surprised that it was almost eleven and she excused herself and hurried to call her sister.
Shabir watched as Panchi made her way out, paying the bill, he too followed her out.
"okay di, now I'll hang up will call you again tomorrow good night" he heard her say and hung up.
"So you done?"
"Yeah, you going somewhere?"
"Yeah! gonna check out the club here" he said walking away but turned back. "You wanna come?"
"No, I don't like partying at all, you go on" Panchi said plastering a smile on her face. She hurried off back to her room not wanting to show off how she dislikes the word clubbing. She had seen how people get drunk and act stupid.
Shabir however noticing that shrugged and thought that he might as well go back to his room and rest as he knew that when Ekta comes, they won't have a chance to rest.

The next morning, Jay, Shabir and Panchi met at the breakfast table. After planning out what they were going to do for the day all three, headed out to go to the Janpath Shopping area.
Shabir sat in the front seat while both Jay and Panchi sat at the back. Shabir saw Panchi through the rearview and smiled as he saw her peeping out of the window seeing the Jama Masjid. He saw her close her eyes with the sound of Prayer call and whisper a prayer to herself.
They reached the Janpath shopping area. Jay was the first to get out and he walked hurriedly towards the shop. Shabir too got out and walked behind Jay as he remembered that Panchi was still in the car. He turned and went to open the door for her.
"Thanks" Panchi replied as she came out.
It was only then Shabir realized that they were being followed by the media. He heard the female reporter say, "Aaj hum aap sab ko, Kayamath ke cast se milwane waali hoon"
"how did they know that we are to come here" Shabir asked their guide. He told him that Ekta has informed the media about their arrival to promote the new show. Shabir however didn't like the idea of media being there before the actual press conference. He didn't say anything though and went inside the shop.
"so what are you going to buy?" the reporter approached him and asked.
"Kurte, kurte" he replied to them and began to ask for the price. Panchi giggled as she saw him trying to avoid them. she turned to see Jay who was busy buying shirts for him. Panchi turned her attention to the bags. Since she was very fond of them, she began to search for a nice one. after seeing them, she was confused on what to buy. She cut down her choices with two bags. Pink and a black bag. She wasn't sure which one was more beautiful. She felt someone stand by her and say, "This one" she turned and saw shabir smiling at her pointing at the pink bag.
Shabir has seen panchi taking both bags and staring at it not knowing what to select. He found the pink one better than the black one she held. He went to her and suggested his choice.
"Wow, this really looks better than this. Thanks" Panchi said excitedly handling the pink bad to the shopkeeper.
"No problem" Shabir said turning away. Not long, the media too left after questioning few more.
Jay and Shabir stood outside waiting for Panchi to finish her shopping. They both exchanged comments regarding how girls take so long with shopping. Panchi came after 15 minutes with both her hands full of shopping bags.
"What are they?" Shabir asked shocked while Jay laughed. Panchi glared at them angrily before keeping her bags in the car.
"Gifts"
"Oohh! Boyfriend?" Shabir asked winking at her.
"Family"
Shabir bit his tongue while Jay gave a sympathetic nod to him.
After they reached to the hotel, their guide informed that Ekta has arrived along with Sanjeeda. They all went to meet her in the lobby area. After Ekta's arrival, everything happened in jet speed. They didn't even realized when their press conference and the promotions got over and after the fourth day of their arrival, they were seated back on the plane to return back to Mumbai.

Panchi was sitting in her vanity van as her make-up artist, applied blush on her cheeks. It was her first day in shooting and the last day of Kahiin to Hoga's shoot. She was overwhelmed when Ekta told her that her introduction as Prachi Shah would be during the last day of Kahiin to hoga. She was so excited that she was to be a part of her favorite soap. Though she was offered a role before, she had to refuse as then she just started her graduation year.
"You are ready Prachi Shah" her make-up artist, Mrinali told her with a wink. Panchi laughed at the name. She suddenly felt so odd and nervous at the same time. Ekta has told her that this would be a role of a lifetime and she was suddenly feeling scared if she might not stand up with Ekta's expectations like others had. Her phone suddenly began to beep. She picked it up and saw a text message. She wasn't at all surprised that it was from Ekta. 'I know you can do it, All the best' was all she wrote. Panchi's confident suddenly went up tenfold. She was so happy to have a mentor like Ekta. Panchi stood happily and opened the door of her van only to hit the door on someone's face.
"OUCH" she heard him cry out. She peeped behind to see who it was and was surprised to see shabir holding his nose wincing in pain.
"oh my god Shabir are you ok?" Panchi asked concerned, she could see that his nose has turned slightly red and seeing that panchi couldn't help let out a small giggle.
"You are laughing?" Shabir asked shocked.
"I'm sorry" she apologized. She told Mrinali to get an ice-pack Mrinali was by her side within seconds and Panchi taking that slowly pressed the ice-pack over his blunt nose. Shabir saw the other crew members giving them curious looks and immediately took the ice-pack from her hands. Panchi however didn't know the reason for him to act so.
"What are you doing here?" Panchi asked hesitating. She felt stupid of asking the question as that set has been his home for about 3 years. But then again since he was dead in the serial, she was curious to know if the Creatives had decided to bring him from the dead.
"I came to meet my friends, they have been like a family to me so came to see the last day of shoots" he said managing a smile with all the pain. Panchi suddenly felt guilty for not checking before opening the door. She had almost broke his nose.
"Panchi, your shot is ready" they turned as the director call out. Shabir told her to go as he was a really strict person when it comes to shooting. Panchi apologizing for one more time walked away adjusting her lehenga.

"Silence, Camera and ACTION!!" the director commanded and there was complete silence at once.
Shabir watched from afar as Aamna wriggled her hands letting the kaliras (danglers of thin silver or gold) to fall. He saw Panchi catching one of it and running towards the door. She turned around and gave a sweet smile while Aamna waved and she again gave a shy smile before running out of the door.
"Cut cut!" the director called out and everyone started clapping. "That was brilliant, Panchi, fantastic" the director called and Panchi came in shyly. Shabir could very well see the blush creeping on his face. They all came together wishing everyone good luck and good byes. Panchi stepped aside when Shabir came to her and stood next to her and mouthed well done' to her. She smiled and mouthed back a thank you. Before either of them could say anything more, Shabir was dragged into the crowd by Gurpreet and Rohit. And all three began to do bhangra dancing along with the utensils drummed by the crew members. Seeing this, Panchi began to laugh harder. She walked upto Aamna who was enjoying the scenario.
"Hi, I'm a big fan of yours, can I have your autograph please?" Panchi asked nervously. She has always found Aamna the most beautiful woman in the world and seeing her so closely, she could really see her classic beauty. Aamna gave her a sweet smile and congratulated her on her new show. She even gave out some encouraging words and wished her good luck before giving Panchi her autograph. "Panchi, nice name by the way, can I have your autograph too?" Aamna asked.
Panchi's eyes widened in surprise, she couldn't believe that Aamna Sheriff, her most favorite was asking her for her autograph.
"You're kidding right?" Panchi asked.
"No" She laughed. "I'm very much serious, I've seen your acting and I'm sure you are going to be a great star one day so who knows that we might not meet and I can show to people that I have your autograph" she winked.
"but I haven't acted, I mean you have only seen me here'"
"Who told you I saw you only here? I've seen you in Kitni Mast too" She said interrupting her.
"Really?"
"yes, and I am damn sure, you are really going to be a big star" Panchi's eyes began to well up. She never she had heard such a compliment that too from a professional like her.
"She is right Panchi" She heard a familiar voice behind her. turning, she saw Shabir. "You are really going to be a big star one day"
"Thank you, both of you, really means a lot to me"
"Waise Aamna Rajeev is not here, wanna go out for a movie?" Shabir asked putting an arm around her. Panchi's eyes widened at the name of Rajeev. Her other favorite. She knew that he left the show midway but he has always been her favorite of all.
"Shut up shabir, you know we have a date tonight" She said shrugging him off.
"I know, just kidding" he sighed dramatically. "so, I guess I'll have to ask someone else, since Aamna is not willing to go with me, I guess, I have to spend the night alone"
Seeing this both Aamna and Panchi burst out laughing with the way Shabir was flirting intimating his 'Rishi' character.
"if you are feeling so lonely, why don't you come to the farewell party tonight?" Rohit came and clapped his hands on Shabir's back. "You can come too" He said to Panchi.
"No, I'm sorry, I don't do Parties" Panchi replied quickly and she immediately regret it. All three were watching her intently. Shabir immdiatly broke the silence by coaxing her to join. After a lot of pleading, she still said no. He didn't press her further and saying it was ok, he left to join the others with the farewell celebration on the sets. Both Aamna and Panchi went back to their vanity van to change out of their heavy lehenga's.
After less than 30 minutes of removing the makeup and the heavy dress, Panchi came out exhausted. She was tired of unpinning the thousand pins of the lehenga's and wished she would never have to wear a lehenga or a bridal dress in her new serial.
Shabir was standing outside waiting till Panchi came out of the sets. He wanted to ask her one more time about joining them to the party. Shabir has got to know that the whole cast of Kayamath was going to be there. He wanted her to meet them and be comfortable with them as he knew that she would be very nervous when meeting new people and since her shooting was to start in just few weeks, she would feel alienated with all the new people around as neither he nor Jay whom she is familiar with would not be there in the first shoot.
Shabir saw Panchi emerge out of the van opening the door very carefully thinking that she might hit someone again. Shabir laughed aloud at it and Panchi shot him an angry look.
"what are you still doing here?" Panchi asked as she stood next him.
"Waiting for you, just wanted to ask one more time, if you would like to come, our new show's cast is gonna be there, you can meet them"
"really? Okay, I'll ask mom" she said taking her cell. he waited till she talked to her mother and tell her about his suggestion. After a moment panchi flashed a huge smile and told him that they she can go with him.
Shabir directed her to his Endeavour. Before panchi got in, she asked him if there would be any media and Shabir told her that it was a private party at Gurpreet's place and only the industry people were allowed in.
Giving him a calmed smile, she got into the car and Shabir, started the car and drove towards Gurpreet's home to celebrate the last night of Kahiin to Hoga.
