k, i better start and finish commenting on your FFs!! its been a long time coming!!
Part 4--
This was sooo sad!! i remember reading it and tearing up!! the pain that Michi went thru was excrutiating!! the way Milind sacrifices his eyesight forever to keep his love safe!! Very touching!!
PArt 5--
haha!! looks like his vision being taken away Milind loves to make his wifey blush by being SOO blunt! :P Too cute!! well, i think it was touching that both Michi made their own sacrifices to be together...altho Milind lost his eyesight forever and will be deprived of 'seeing' his wife!! altho this mighta been important at the time of the accident....now, Michi are together and have a great understanding!! Ishan--i always think how Shabir's child will get his curly hair.....imagine being his replica!! OMGG!!
Thanx for this FF, Opti!! :D

Thanks Saima for taking time off your busy schedule to comment on my fic. I appreciate the effort. Btw did you read the looooong 5-part epilogue to my FF 'Strangers?'. That one evoked some flak too as did the rest of the Fic.
Anyway I don't regret writing it. I've always received brickbats and bouquets here for my posts, VMs and Fics, so I take it in my stride.

i'm pretty sure i've read it but CAN'T remember the content!! well, as a writer there are time when certain storylines are more popular than others!! altho i've never written 😛 i consider myself an avid reader...there are times when a certain writer just goes SO wrong and i think what was he thinking!!😆 I hope you didn't misconstrue the readers' comments as a jab to you personally!! you know what i'm talking about...it'll just sadden me otherwise!! :((

Well, thanks for letting me know that. I know what I was getting myself into when I wrote that story. Yes, it is difficult to palate a guy accepting a 'fallen woman' snd her baby unconditionally whereas it is not too difficult to accept a woman accepting a 'man of the world'. But I myself have heard of such men although they may be few and far between. So I dont think I went wrong in choosing that theme. For me true love goes beyond all boundaries, whether for a man or a woman. Not many may find that sort of love but belssed are they who do. I wanted to write a heart warming tale of a man and his love for two women/girls. And that is what I did. So no regrets whatsoever.
As to readers taking a personal jab at me, well there were some who did just that whereas there were others who argued out the points rationally. Some comments were so vicious, it made me cringe. I am open to debate but not hitting below the belt which some did. Yes, I do lack imagination and ability to surprise and my plots may be archaic, mundane and most of the times 'out of the world'. My heroes may be 'goody-two-shoes' with no pasts and my heriones may be soiled unlike the other way around which is more acceptable, I guess. But then that was the purpose of that fic, to make a radical departure from the usual stuff.
But then I am not here to revolutionalise the way people think. They are free to hold their own opinions. I just wanted to tell a story which was close to my heart for a long time. I used my favourite jodi to tell it.

Opti, this is so good. This is your 3rd FF and there is no sense of familiarity when comparing it to the other 2. All three are so diferent in content and the character especially your Milinds seem so different from each other. What a definition of true love. To sacrifice one's sight or one's physical appearance for the other and most importantly not to be bitter about it, that is true love. Your last two FFs had a gritty quality to them Opti, that you did full justice to. 👏

Yes, my Milinds are totally different. DC's Milind was the closest to the show although I played down the excessively possessive and physically abusive bits because those were traits I abhorred in the show Milind. Stranger's Milind is totally unlike the typical Milind because my inspiration for him was the hero of that Tamil serial I had seen years ago. This one here is somewhere between those two I guess although the story itself is based on a true story I read in Reader's Digest again years ago. There was not much of character sketch given about the hero and heroine in that story nor the details of their lives. So took the liberty to conjour up something. What is trully marvellous is that the real hero (An Irish patient) and real heroine (a British nurse) did make those sacrifices for each other and are supposedly happy with each other.
Thanks for taking time off your busy schedule to read my fics and also comment on them.

Great part..........👏Thanks

Life may not be as we want it to be but with the support and love of a special someone, anything is acheivable. Here Michi sacrifice something of themselves for the other but are truly happy. True love is beyond all the wordly trappings.
pranati roy....the reporter....how this name come to ur mind.......I make decisions on my fictional names on the spur of the moment. Shub's neice's name is Pranati. I liked it. Just added Roy to it because there are quite a few well known Bengali journos.
she also impress with michi n their love......😊Yes, she is!
