Mumbai:
Will you do my film? Bobbiy Bhonsley and Shweta Menon
Is admitted to a rehab clinic
Writer-actor Bobbiy Bhonsley, ex hubby of actress Shweta Menon, was admitted to a rehab clinic on Saturday. It is learnt that he is suffering from bipolar disorder.

The name behind several Balaji productions Kasamh Se, Kayamath, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kahin To Hoga and Kuttumb Bobbiy's condition worsened last week.

Not the first time

His close friends were aware of his condition as he had become extremely aggressive with people and had started talking aloud to himself.

This is not the first time that Bobbiy has sought medical attention for his mental health. A few years back, too, he was admitted to a mental hospital. After his return, Ekta Kapoor was the first one to offer him work.

He had recently started his film production company called Bobbiy Bhonsley Company (BBC) and was keen to roll his first project Johhny Meets Walker. The film's script was inspired by his own life on how alcoholism can destroy relationships and life.

Still in touch

It is learnt that he has been in touch with his ex-wife Shweta Menon (who is best known for her item number in Ishq and her role in the Salman Khan-starrer Bandhan). Says a source, "He had even offered her a role and used to call her off and on." Though they had a long courtship, the Shweta-Bobbiy marriage lasted for three years and ended in divorce.

When asked about his health, Bobbiy's father Capt Ajay Bhonsle however maintains, "He is okay and has not been hospitalised."

That's messed up. I hope he gets proper treatment, at least he was smart enough to get help, most South Asians are averse to seeking any help for mental health issues...

Hope he recovers soon. He was instrumental for some of the best parts of this show. It would be a pity if his talent is lost forever to such an illness.
