JC, I still stand by what I said. It is not a question of whether he felt anything for the D-family or not. Here is a corrupt guy duping society and Milind let him go because he wanted to be with his wife. It is foolish to say he will take care of him the next day. With the minister's clout he could have easily shut him up. Moreover, what guarantee is there that the minister will not strike at the D-family that very night? Just because he does not like them, their lives can be put at risk? All for what? To satisfy his primal needs? I didn't like this "All for love" approach that this track is begining to show. Life is much more than just love for a woman. A man of principles needs to stand by them, whatever be the consequences or the sacrifices involved.
It is not the first time Milsi has disappointed me. There was the bribing and arson shown in the PIM track. What is wrong is wrong and I will voice my disappointment no matter how much I love Milind. You may soft peddle the issue, but I can't.
Ok i get your POV. Though i have my own. Like i said, i had a long reply to your previous post but it got deleted and didn't feel like typing it all again. If i had maybe you'd understand better what i was saying. Oh well ..i am going to leave this here because i can see it getting personal. I didn't make this thread pointing you out specifically Opti. And i've never thought that you were ever in an extreme in your opinions. But you are taking it that way because i used the same words as you did in your thread title. I am sorry you felt that way. I actually agree with what you said here (except for the bolded part). My only issue is that i don't think Milind left that Minister because he was horny (pardon the language). He did forget that guy though and that was wrong but i am willing to forgive him because i never expected him to be perfectly principled. He has his selfish needs and has tended to them before without regard to others...what when he cornered Prachi into marrying him and use her to make Ayesha jealous...granted he saved her family...but where was his moral sense that should have told him its wrong to ruin a girl's life like that...to marry her and give her no happiness...no life...isn't that what he planned to do with her...make her suffer. Where was his principles when he physically abused her even before falling in love with her or thinking she betrayed him....not that those things warant abuse...so ya i never placed him on a pedestal...he was always a mere human to me and so is Prachi. On another note...they are pretty damn good human beings and i love them.
I never felt that Milind has ever been the samaaj sudharak type. He deals with what ever comes in front of him. He gave more importance to his personal life than that of the minister's evil intentions...wrong of him...i didn't think the DG family was in any iminent danger from the minister's talk...just that this guy is currupt...and that was what Milind was going to expose...not save DG family's life. Oh well...
And also, I don't think i've ever been soft on Milind and overlooked things that i feel he did wrong. What is wrong IS wrong but then there are situations that i can understand why a person would act a certain way...because life is never a black and white where you either on the right side or the wrong side. Some situations are complex and one can't always be sure they are doing what is right. Sometimes personal satisfaction takes precedence...why must a person deny himself / herself happiness for the sake of others...everytime??? Especially when that happiness comes so awaited. Some people in this world are selfless to the bone...some are not...there is different levels of it. Milind is not like Prachi. And sometimes its not the best thing and sometimes it is. If you applaud him for thinking of his own family first, for giving more importance to his marriage and their love over the "Farz" that Prachi feels to DG family...then what he did yesterday also should be seen in that light. His family comes first...before the rest of the world. It wasn't his hurry in getting to the hotel room to lay with his wife...it was his excitment in getting Prachi to spend a few moments with him...away from her "Fraz" and the disapproving glances and feeling like he is sinning for being with his wife.
