Vasu, I don't agree with the view that clubs St.Paul and Martin Lurther with Jesus Christ for the simple reason that these two were only humans whereas Jesus was the Son of God, atleast according to my belief. Secondly, I don't agree with all that St.Paul had written. He wrote cartain things according to his times which may not neccesarily hold true in today's world. For example, he had said that in a place of worship a man should not cover his head because his head is God. So in the presence of God he should not cover his head. The woman on the other hand should cover her head because her head is man. So in the presence of God, she needs to cover her head. Now I don't agree with this view. To me, God created both man and woman and hence is the head for both of them. No man can claim a right to be any woman's head.
As to seeing right from wrong, there is sometimes a very thin dividing line between the two. Most things are not all black or all white.

Opti dear, I wanted to tell you in your post where you quoted from bible , but I stopped myself .
On this IF, I have seen people mocking Hinduism, Mahabharat, Ramayan and Geeta and India too.
That's why, even with utmost good intentions, if you bring the holy scriptures here, it would only make you misrable.....😳

Why are people thinking that I subscribe to one view or another when I made it clear I don't. I think I had made it clear in that thread itself that I do not agree with everything St.Paul had to say.

I was not making any religious statements Ritu. I was talking on a universal subject called love and how it was defined. The definition I wanted to highlight happened to be in the Bible. Milind's love as shown in the show seemed to be fitting that definition. I interpreted it that way. That does not mean I am on a religious propoganda nor am I mocking any religion. I did not see anybody mocking the verses here, either. Guess Shanta thought that since the verse was from a holy scripture it was meant for only saints. I think I cleared up that impression. Holy scriptures talk of how one needs to lead one's life and that is irrespective of what God one worships or whether one is a saint.
If anybody mocks at religions I think it is the BT shows themselves, playing the chants from Mahabharat when the vamp trots in and what not. I think we are all mature enough to understand when we are being provoked and when there is a genuine debate.
