Here is my problem with the Face-Off theory, even though it's my last hope for Michi purity. This is all based on the assumption, Mallika is no longer a threat and Prachi finds that out very quickly.
For this story to progress Prachi's loyalties has to be divided between her new family and Milind. If she is a coma somewhere, yes she is going to be grateful to them for looking after her son but she has no relationship with these people. And once she wakes up and Milind comes back on the scene, where's the drama, where's the conflict in that? She isn't anyone's fake wife or daughter in law. The real Panchi is very much alive. Why would they stop her from going back to her husband. The only possible conflict there could be is Michi wanting to reclaim their son and Panchi & Proteek may not want to let him go. Love triangles, not custody battles are BT's forte.
The second alternative with the Face Off scenerio is that Panchi now dies and Prachi suddenly wakes up from her coma. Proteek and Panchi were all along aware of Prachi being in a coma. Proteek can't break the news of Panchi being dead to his family for whatever reason and only now after five years is Prachi going to pose as Panchi Das Gupta as gratitude for caring for her son. I read this scenario somewhere. But here again, Milind will very shortly be on the scene (unless they take another leap) and Prachi wouldn't have had time to form any deep emotional ties with this family. She certainly wouldn't have developed any sort of relationship with Proteek in that short time, not even a friendship. And her love and loyalties towards Milind would still be far greater. And once Milind is back, I can see Prachi very quickly telling him who she is and they being back together in some form. The only real conflict there could be is if Prachi stalls on finding a way to gently let down the family and Milind getting irriated with her. Certainly not much melodrama there.
My point is that for the melodrama to unfold, Prachi would have had to formed very deep, lasting ties with this family and even Proteek and that would have only been possible if she has lived with them for the last five years as a wife, as a daughter-in-law and as a sister-in-law. Her being in a coma all this time and now suddenly waking up is not going to give her enough time to develop those ties. And if she isn't in a coma but just living with this family as Panchi's sister what possible reason or claim on her would this family and Proteek have to prevent her from getting back with her husband?
