Shali there are several ways this could have been handled. They could have made Mallika lie in the court that she slept with Milsi and later tell him that inorder to save him she lied. She did not say this lie before because of what it would do to his marriage but decided to take the step since Prachi was not coming to court. Prachi on the other hand could have come to the court and witnessed it and pretends to be angry at Milsi and runs out. Milind then gets upset that Prachi has believed PPP's lies and runs after her. The outcome Michi separation but atleast the characters behave consistently.
