Most of us agree that my doll has grown by leaps as a performer since the start of the show. While I did like her chirpy interactions with Neev, her dialogue delivery and tonal modulation left much to be desired, and she reminded me of "Karisma Kapoor from the early nineties" (not a compliment!!). Worse, her fake giggles reminded me of Ash (ok, I hate her, I admit! Haha). However, since then, Panchi has worked diligently to minimize those blemishes, and although she still has a VERY long way to go before becoming one of the BEST ever, it's obvious that she is determined to scale heights. Below are few dramatic scenes from the show that highlight her blossoming maturity:
a. Inder's death scene
Surprisingly, P displayed flashes of brilliance early on in the serial too, and this was one of those instances. As a daughter who had lost not just her father, but also one of her two best friends, Panchi rocked!
b. Reaction to the rape attempt
Yes, this was predominantly Shabbir's show, but Panchi's reaction too was extremely realistic. The fear and the tears were brilliantly portrayed, and to date I cannot accept Milind as the BEST PATI because of that ONE scene.
c. When Prachi searches for Milind in the rains
This was the first time Prachi actually opens her mouth in front of Milind😆, and it was fun watching her take him to task. 😆 It was especially cute to watch Prachi use the word "AAp" like a million times. Oh, also loved to see her blush on the bridge after Milind decides not to change his shirt, although Ms WWW had ruined it by spilling drinks, because it was his WIFe's gift! Milind had finally found a place in her heart, and Panchi did a very good job of displaying that!
d. When she leaves home the first time
Not the best scene, but her "Main Jaa Rahi Hoon, Milind" still chokes me up. Here was a wife who wanted to give her newfound relationship a chance, but her attempts at reconciliation are rebuffed by the man she wanted to be with. Panchi effectively demonstrated her character's angst. Further, her lecture on the importance of parents after she came back had me smiling
e. When Prachi drills the importance of Milind into Sukruti
I enjoyed this scene because of Panchi's controlled performance. Although Prachi wanted SS to get married, she didn't want them to hurt Milind to achieve their goals. Panchi effectively portrayed the dual role of a compassionate SIL AND a caring wife. Loved her, "Jis Bhaiya Ki Ungli Pakadke Tumne Chalna Seekha, Kya Aaj Usi Bhaiya Ke Aashirwad Ke Bina Tum Apni Nayi Zindagi Ki Shuruat Kar Paogi?" Later, her helplessness when Milind almost slaps her had me in tears!!!!!!! Good Job, girl
f. The C-night scene
Frankly, she screeched a little too much in the scene, but, it was also clear that Panchi was trying to broaden her horizons as an actress. Perhaps her squeals were also understandable since Prachi just couldn't make Milind understand her feelings, and instead was frequently defamed by him, which shattered her very soul, finally breaking her down. My favorite lines were: "Maine Hamesha Aapke Saath Mera Aane Wala Kal Dekha…Lekin Aapne NEev Ke Saath Mera Guzra Hua Kal Dekha", and "Mujhe Hamesha Sikhaya Gaya Ki Kuch Baatein Bina Kahe Hi Samjhi Jaati Hai, Lekin Jo Insaan Samajhna HI Nahin Chahta, Uske Liye To Aapki Khamoshi Bhi Gunaah Ban Jaati Hai!" She had judged Milind very accurately, and he could do nothing but fervently apologize after that *well, apologize in style, what with the kiss and lovemaking and all..hahaha*
g. When she lies about Ritwik being her child
One could almost sense her pleas to not believe her, but she was helpless in those circumstances, and had to accept his hatred after that! Awesome!
h. Court Scene
Perhaps the most popular favorite, this one emphatically underlined Panchi's improvement. Confident, yet not over the top, her monologue actually had me clapping!!!! Hahaha! I can never forget the "Aap Mere Paas Ho Na, Papa" lines, when she looked up, like pleading with her dead dad to always remain beside her; Prachi genuinely missed and needed her dad, and was valiantly defending him even after his death!!!! Ooh, I also enjoyed it when she rambled on about all the 'secrets' she kept from Milind, accused him of never accepting her past with Neev, although she understood that HE had a past too, and finally, the "Jo Rishta Mere Liya Ibadat Ban Chuka Tha, Vo Aapke Liye Zaroorat Bhi Nahin Ban Saka" line, which wrapped up that brilliant performance. Even her numb tears and gait outside the court scene, and of course the ever-famous HUG, were all so wonderfully depicted by my gal!!!
i. When Prachi wrongly assumes that MA were getting engaged
In fact, I thought she stole the show from Shabbir in this one. Dejected after her court-appearance, Prachi, after almost drowning, returns to SM only to find it decorated. Incorrectly assuming that MA were getting engaged, she accepts her destiny and almost turns away, when Milind appears out of nowhere to alleviate her fears. Just loved her shock when she learns of the engagement, and her sorrow when she picks up the (ridiculous..hehe) M ring only to drop it back! Her expression as she looked at Milind while holding the ring totally tugged at my heart. Later, she portrayed the confusion of Prachi very well, when Milind suddenly hugs her without saying anything. However, when she learns that he has finally aware of the truth, she hugs him and says, "Main Bhi Aapse Bahut Pyar Karti Hoon, Milind". Marvelous, girl!
j. The phone scene
I relish this one because Panchi FINALLY smiled after what seemed like a decade! Hehe…the naughty, fun side of Prachi was totally-Panchi! It was also refreshing to watch MICHI interact like a normal couple…the "Haldi Ghati Ka Maidan Lagoongi" line was so cutely delivered by my doll!
k. When Ayesha tries throwing her out of the house, but she refuses to budge
De Tali, doll!! It was WONDERFUL to watch Prachi to lash out at her insane sister! This scene shut the mouths of those naysayers who believed that she will simply bow to A's demands and leave the mansion. When Prachi speaks, people listen, and Panchi was first-rate
l. When MICHI are caught in the snow
Aww, Panchi's baby-face and sweet expressions melted my heart. Also, when he refuses to let her bandage his feet and insults her family in that hut, she too blasts out at him, wondering why he believes that only he was wronged; wondering why he is unable to let go of that hatred, and finally forces him to shut up so she can bandage his wounds. The whole interaction was an amalgamation of Prachi's desperation and love, and Panchi was a delight!

LEkin Alaap Ke Galtiyon Ki Saza Aap Aur Kitne Din Hame Denge. Kyun Aap Un Yaadon Me Ulajhke Reh Gaye Hain? Kyun Nafrat Aapke Dil Se Nahin Jaati? Kyun Milind? Waqt Bahut Aage Bad Chuka Hai, Aur Aap Bhi. Aapne Apne Bure Waqt Ko Hara Diya Hai, To Kyun Who Buri Yaadein Nahin Haarti? Kyun Milind? Aap Is Baat Se Naraaz Hain Na Ki Kyun Main Peeche Peeche Chali Aayi? Kyun Mujhe Aapke Dard Se Farak Padta Hai? Magar Main Yahaan Aayi Hoon Ek Rishte Ki Wajah Se…" Then, she stops, shocked that she was about to reveal that they were a couple. Averting her eyes, "Woh Rishta JO Mishra Ji Ke Saath Hai…Who Mujhe Apni…Apni Beti Maante Hain, Aur Mishra Ji Ke Khatir Main Aapka Khayal Rakh Rahi Hoon. Aapko Apni Jaan Se Zyada Nafrat Ki Padi Hai, Lekin KAbhi Aapne Ye Socha Ki Aapko Agar Kuch Ho Gaya To Un Logon Par Kya Beetegi Jo Aapse Jude Hain? Kya Beetegi Sukruti Par? Mishra Ji Par..Aur…..!" Again prevents herself for blurting out her feelings, "Ab Aap Baitiye Yahaan Chupchaap Aur Mujhe Ye Zakhm Saaf Karne Deejiye"
hehe..and a stunned Milind simply sits down like a meek lamb....😆 Panchi and Prachi - 👏
m. The temple scene
Caught in a riot, MICHI seek a place to rest in a temple. Milind doesn't remember her, but Prachi does everything to make him comfortable. Later, she narrates their love story to a random group of strangers, but, seeing that her words affected Milind, lies to him that none of that was true. This was the beginning of the second love story between MICHI, for a confused Milind, as he was driven away in the police van, started feeling something for this girl. Panchi was so adorable throughout
n. Terrace scene, when Mi overhears her confession
Another scene-stealing performance, Panchi was an absolute delight when she blames GOD for her helplessness, and cries out loud that she can never watch Mi become someone else's because she loves him. As Milind gets closer, a startled Prachi tries regaining her composure, and is about to leave when they look into each other's eyes, and he hugs her!!!!!!!
o. Ayesha-death sequence
Aww man, one of her most gut-wrenching performances, Panchi was fabulous while displaying a gamut of emotions, from disbelief to despair, and her reaction to those flashback scenes with Ayesha totally warmed my heart. I was especially moved by her breakdown in the van! "Tumhara Pyar Paane Ki Baad Tumhare Bina Jeene Ki Aadat Kaise Daloon Main. Pehle Papa Ne MEra Saath Chod Diya, Aur Ab Tumne Bhi Mera Saath Diya. Hamesha Apnon Ko Khone Ki Takleef Mujhe Kyon Milti Hai. Thak Gayi Hoon Main, Ayesha, Thak Gayi Hoon Main"
p. Scene in front of A's dead body
When Ms Ugly Maniac declares that Prachi looks extremely weak, my doll stops her midway, shrugs M's hands off her shoulder *good job, girl! Hehe*, and says, "Mat Baat Karo Is Kamzori Ki. Thak Gayi Hoon Main Is Kamzori Se. Jo Papa Ke Saath Hua, Vo Ayesha Ke Saath Hone Nahin Doongi"
Her outward poise belied the fire raging in her heart. She is determined to fight for her sister, determined to fight till the finish, and Panchi's quiet assurance proved that this bubbly young lass, who doesn't know Hindi very well, has is finally developing into an excellent actress!!!!

Of course, she is a natural in all the romantic scenes, and I can't wait to watch her display more facets as a performer through this show!!!!
