First, comparing Ayesha and Mallika is futile because they have dissimilar personalities
YES, both wanted to have Milind by hook or crook, but ultimately they are different
Ayesha had a dysfunctional childhood, thanks to an absconding father and a mentally deranged mother. However, this situation never bothered her, and she grew up to become an attractive and gutsy woman who thought good of others. Let's also not forget that M and A loved each other's company, and, clearly, he was attracted towards her, while her innate distrust for men stopped her from ever confessing her feelings
Sadly, JUST ONE incident ruined her entire character, and she immediately fell down from grace. BUT she had AT LEAST had several reasons for her madness *although that doesn't exonerate her at all!*
Mallika, on the other hand, is irrationally insane. She seems to be an obnoxious character from the very beginning. A calculative businesswoman and a manipulative woman, she is clearly used to being spoilt, pampered, and snatching whatever she wants! Hence, perhaps it makes sense that she HAD NO CONTROL, and acted without thinking.
Overall, while Ayesha turned evil because she was hurt, Mallika is simply mad, and these characters therefore need to be enacted differently
I haven't watched this episode, and don't intend to, but Reshmi looked obsessively scary in the pics. To me, that looked like a good job, but, of course, I cannot be sure
