I loved the update 👏,happy to see that prachi is trying to give life another try👍🏼But 😲could not understand why the seperation needed for the adoptation of the baby. 😕

Amazing part BC! Now Prachi will have to meet Milind in one way or the other. I hope they dont seperate! It will be good to see Milind's reaction once he finds out she is planning to adopt! Pls continue soon! 😊

Part 4

"So, I will be visiting you and monitoring the situation for the next month.", said Sarika as Prachi signed the temporary custody papers. Prachi smiled, "That will be fine.". "Have you spoken to your husband as yet?", asked Sarika. "I haven't.", admitted Prachi reluctantly. "Mrs Mishra, right now you're no more than a foster parent, meaning the state can still take the baby back. If you want permanent guardianship, you need to sort out your situation with your husband.", explained Sarika frowning. "I will as soon as possible.", said Prachi. She was more determined than ever about the adoption but she still hadn't gathered the courage to speak to Milind as yet. Sarika looked at her concerned but said no more. "Okay, I guess you can take the baby home now.", said Sarika eventually after looking over the papers. Prachi smiled in relief.

"Hey, ready to go home?", asked Prachi as she gently held her new daughter in her arms. The baby gurgled in reply. She had reached her recommended weight and she already looked much better with a sparkle in her coal black eyes. "Here is her stuff.", said the nurse. "Thanks.", said Prachi, taking the pitifully small bundle of clothes. Prachi looked at her daughter with renewed determination. She may not have come into the world with much but Prachi was determined from now on she would lack for nothing even if it meant re-opening old wounds.

"So, is that her?", asked Ranvir peering curiously at the bundle in Prachi's arm before opening the car door. He had been waiting in the car park for her. Prachi would have preferred 4her family being there but they still hadn't fully accepted her decision, so she asked Ranvir to pick her up instead. "Do you want to hold her?", asked Prachi. "Maybe later.", said Ranvir nervously. Prachi got into the back seat with her baby. They were going home.

Prachi had barely entered the house before, Soumya pounced on her. "Let me see my niece.", demanded Soumya. Prachi smiled at her. At least someone in her family was on her side. She gently handed the baby over to her. "Hello sweetie, I'm your Aunt Soumya.", cooed Soumya. Soon Sumit came tearing in. "Mausi, who that?", he asked looking at the baby accusingly. Prachi picked him up and sat with him next to Soumya on the sofa, who was still holding the baby. "This is your new cousin.", explained Prachi gently stroking the baby's cheek. Sumit looked at the baby slightly awed and then also touched her cheek. The baby opened her mouth and yawned widely. "She small.", said Sumit. "Just like you was and just like Mummy's new baby is going to be.", said Prachi, kissing him on his head. "And do I get to hold her?", asked Ayesha suddenly. Prachi hadn't noticed her entering the room. Prachi smiled. Soumya handed the baby over to her. Ayesha held her and said nothing for a while. Finally she looked at Prachi and said, "She's lovely and you know I just want what's best for you, don't you?". "I know.", said Prachi smiling. "Where's Ma?", she asked quietly. "Upstairs", replied Soumya.

Prachi found her mother in front of the deity idols praying. Prachi looked at her mother with sorrow. She would never have coped with all that had happened in the last few years without Premlata's support. And she needed her support now too. "I know what I'm doing, Ma.", said Prachi quietly. Premlata sighed, "I don't want to see you hurt again. You have already been through so much.". "I'm not going to get hurt,", said Prachi earnestly, "For the first time in a long time, I'm actually really happy about something." Premlata smiled at her. Prachi did look happier than she had in a very long time. "Will you please come meet your new granddaughter?', asked Prachi. Premlata nodded and followed Prachi into the living room.

"She's just a baby. They don't bite. I promise.", Soumya teased Ranvir. Ranvir still looked skeptical. Soumya loved annoying Ranvir. She thought he was too uptight. He though she was too frivolous. She kept quiet when she saw Premlata. Premlata took the baby from Soumya. Just as Prachi suspected she would, Premlata melted at the sight of the baby. She kissed the baby on her forehead. Prachi held onto her mother's arm and looked over her shoulder at the baby. Premlata didn't say anything but smiled and put her hand on Prachi's face. Prachi knew her mother had accepted her.

Sumit tugged at Premlata's sari. "You like your cousin, Sumi?", asked Premlata. "What her name?", asked Sumit curiously. Everyone turned around and looked at Prachi. "I haven't decided yet. Any ideas?", asked Prachi as she took the baby back from her mother, "Sumi, what you want to call her?". "Pider man", replied Sumit in his way of saying Spider Man. "No baby, she is a girl.", said Ayesha laughing . And then she asked mischievously, "How about Dia?". "No! That's the name Neev wants for your daughter if you have one. And you're just trying to avoid it by giving it to my daughter.", retorted Prachi. "Ganga is quite nice.", said Ranvir. Soumya rolled her eyes at the old fashioned name. Ranvir catching her expression asked, "Okay, what's your idea?". "Asha", replied Soumya and then surprised them all by adding, "Hope because that's what she gave Didi.". Prachi looked at her in amazement. It was the perfect fit. "Asha it is.", said Prachi softly as she smiled down at her daughter.

Prachi checked on Asha for the third time in the last half hour. She was still sound asleep. She already looked at home in her new surroundings. Watching her sleep, Prachi knew she belonged in this house and in this family. Bearing that in mind, Prachi looked at the clock. It was past 7pm but it would only be 5pm in Turkey. He would probably still be in his office. Taking one last look at Asha, to give her courage, Prachi quickly dialed the number.

"Mr Mishra". Milind could hear the nervousness in his secretary's voice. "I said I didn't want to be disturbed.", replied Milind curtly through the intercom. "It's your wife on the line.", replied Mrs Osman hesitantly . Milind didn't say anything for a moment, stunned. He had last spoken to Prachi months ago. And even then it had been a short, tense conversation regarding the sale of their old home. "Put her through.", said Milind finally.

"Hello Milind, how are you?', asked Prachi, her voice sounding strained even to her own ears. "Fine.", said Milind. His heart still leapt at the sound of her voice but he was overwhelmed with tiredness. But he was well alert when he heard what Prachi had to say next. "There is no easy way to say this, so I'll just come out and say it. I'm sending you legal separation papers. You should receive them by tomorrow. We need to formalize our separation.", said Prachi hurriedly. "What the hell are you talking about?", thundered Milind, his sudden, inexplicable anger blocking out all other emotions. Legal separation, papers! What was going on here? Hearing the change of tone in his voice, Prachi stiffened her resolve and felt her own anger rising. She was not at fault here. He had left her! In an icy tone, from which Milind deduced how angry she was getting, Prachi replied, "We put this off long enough. We need to resolve this once and for all.". "Put this off long enough?! You hit me with this out of the blue!", replied Milind heatedly. "I don't see what ..", replied Prachi before she was interrupted by a very hungry Asha getting up from her sleep. "Hold on", she said before Milind could get another word in.

"Shhuu baby, here is your bottle.", said Prachi as she tried to feed Asha and hold the phone to ear with her shoulder. "Who's baby is that? Ayesha's?", asked Milind frowning. "Mine", replied Prachi defiantly. Milind was stunned into silence. A million thoughts ran through his head. He could feel himself break out into a cold sweat and his heart started to pound in his chest. Had she met someone? Is that why she needed the legal separation? But that was ridiculous. He would definitely have heard if she had fallen pregnant or was even thinking of getting married again. Hearing the deafening silence on the other end, Prachi quickly explained, "I'm adopting her.". "That's why I need the separation.", she added wearily. Not wanting to hear anymore, Milind slammed the phone down on her … hard. "Milind!", exclaimed Prachi angrily but all she got was the ring tone.

Oh thank sweet Lord BC you graced us with an update I feel like strangling you how dare you start ffs you can't update soon. Honest to God this is torture pure torture. Ok enough cribbing the update was excellent Asha is a beautiful name. Somehow I knew the child would be accepted by her family annd well why do I have hope flickering that Mr Mishra will be gracing us with his presence in Shah mansion soon. Baby gotta see daddy too..... continue soon and that's a threat!!!!

Thankooo BC. Prachi wants a divorce from Milind.. :( :( I think Milind all the more is feeling dejected because she wants to formalise their seperation because of the adoption. Hope Milind gets his backside into Mumbai soon ;)

OH BC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How i wished you had done this sooner. Ok thanx...so guess you haven't abandoned this one. SO so so so so so Glad. It was wonderful. Keep me guessing...what will Mr. Mishra do next. tick tock tick tock tick tock....imapatient??? me??? no way.
