Don't think, Adi asking for forgiveness was a boon/help. It was so important for Adi to correct his mistake of what he did in the party like not let him speak and asking him to go.

In a way, Adi may have saved Sanjeev from further beating/humiliation. But, he did not let him speak was his mistake.

Glad that he corrected that to save their friendship. It may not have anything to do with Kavya though. Kavya may have been proud of Adi because he is not a bad person by heart.

Changing actor was a good move by the makers. It definitely helped the viewers to move on from what they had seen in old Malini.

But, they must make Malini regret and apologize for whatever she did with Adi, before Omi's death. That's very important and Kavya must know the truth.

Yes, Naina and her father both should have been punished by the court/police (even if Adi decided not to press charges against them), even if its for lesser sentence.

They should at least be taught a lesson for the sake of others to not do such things.
