SRK gets ready to jet set!
Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan are leaving no stone unturned to make sure that their film Om Shanti Om is the biggest dhamaka on Diwali this year.
The latest buzz suggests that SRK and his international distributors, Eros Entertainment, will be making sure that the King Khan attends the major international premieres. The current plan suggests that Khan is close to wrapping up his media rounds in India, will be heading to UK next week and is likely to fit in Dubai and the US somewhere in between November 6 – 9.

A source close to the actor says that Khan plans to put in an appearance on the premieres of OSO across his three main international territories – US, UK and UAE. "Nothing has been finalized yet. The premiere for OSO in UK has been set up. He will be going there soon with Gauri and kids… will be there for the premiere but he also is in the midst of trying to tie up his schedule in such a way that he can attend the premieres in US and UAE as well," informs the source.
OSO director Farah Khan says that she won't be heading for the international premiere due to her pregnancy. "Shah Rukh and Eros International have organized the premiere but I won't be going as I have been advised to not travel in this condition. So I will be in India while Shah Rukh will handle things there," says Farah.
With Sony Pictures backing Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya, Eros has already begun setting up promotional interviews in the UK to ensure that he gets maximum exposure in one of his most bankable territories. "Khan is king in the UK, he has a huge fan following and all magazines, newspapers and radio stations have already started promoting the fact that he will be on. In the UAE films are released on a Wednesday to tie in with their Thursday and Friday holidays and so there are very strong plans to try and get SRK there and then he will fly to the UK in time for his premiere there," says the source, "Saawariya will be holding a premiere at the Mahindra Indo-American Arts Council Film Festival on November 7 followed with a release in 80 theatres in North America. With Sony Pictures behind them, the film is likely to get massive coverage in the US and so SRK and Farah are going to make sure that they get UK and UAE completely covered. Plans are also to get US in but that is yet to be confirmed."
Om Shanti Om and Saawariya are the two most awaited films this year and will be going head to head on Diwali day – November 9. The odds do favour OSO. Last year SRK's DON and the Salman-Akshay Kumar starrer Jaan-E-Mann clashed on Diwali/Eid and there was only one winner there – DON! However, that was last year and whether the King Khan will still reign supreme over two new debutants this year is something we will know in less than a fortnight.
