SRK cancelled the shoot of Om Shanti Om only to check out a luxury cruise liner

The luxury cruise liner

Even Shah Rukh Khan has his share of cravings and recently he gave into his urges to check out a cruise liner. The actor cancelled his schedule for Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om last Sunday only to film for Bhootnath in the ocean liner Superstar Libra, which sails across the Indian Ocean and docks at Mumbai, Goa, Cochin, Chennai, Lakshadweep, Colombo, Phuket, Port Klang and Singapore.

Apparently, the production unit had plans to shoot the sequence in Mauritius as Shah Rukh was busy. However, when the actor got to know that the Superstar Libra sets sail on April 29 he changed his plans and decided to finish the sequence.

Says Manish Sharma, "It was very kind of Shah Rukh to shoot with us on Sunday as the ocean liner headed for other destinations later in the evening. When Shah Rukh arrived at the port he was quite excited to see Superstar Libra. He remarked, 'This is the one.'"

The actor not only canned six scenes in four hours but also took rounds of the floors at the ocean liner. He exchanged greetings and signed autographs for the sailors. Says another crew member, "I believe Shah Rukh had never seen this giant ocean liner. He was quite overwhelmed."

Shah Rukh shot scenes with good friend Juhi Chawla, who plays his wife in the film. The duo had a friendly banter on the sets. Adds another source, "Shah Rukh was constantly teasing Juhi. He wanted Juhi to praise his performance. However, Juhi wasn't in a mood to shower him with praises. We shot in a panic mode as we feared that we would lose sunlight."

Later, when the crew packed up, all that Juhi had to say about Shah Rukh was, "You look like a school boy in that white uniform." Incidentally, SRK plays a navy guy who moves to Goa for an assignment, and his son befriends an apparition.
