KBC News - Young Rahul impresses Shah Rukh |
Khan is very happy to see Rahul Kamdar do well last night. After a gap of quite a few episodes we say Shah Rukh gift his watch to a contestant last night. And what was more surprising that he gave it to a contestant who had already won big. Rahul Kamdar, from Pune, reached the Hot Seat on Friday night following Manoj Pande's exit. A young lad of just 21 years, Rahul was a bit nervous at the start of play but by the time he resumed on last night, he was much more comfortable and ready to play. Slowly and surely he worked through his questions in a manner that completely belied his age. Polite, courteous, intelligent the Kamdar deserved to win every penny that he walked away from. Shah Rukh, who had been a bit disillusioned with the youngsters on the show of late, was very happy and impressed with Rahul. He spoke to KBClive after Rahul's exit and told us what it was about Rahul that struck a chord with him the most. "Rahul was fantastic. A 21 year old boy – well mannered, well educated, well brought up, a great smile, quiet. He had the right amount of intelligence and great usage of that. He never showed disrespect to the money or to the game. He played with a level head and without trying to bigger than his age. He was just so sweet." In between the break, Khan who was still impressed with Rahul was seen discussing how good natured it was of Kamdar to realise the fact that if he took long the rest of the FFF contestants could lose out due to the lack of time. "Normally I give a gift or a watch to someone who crashes. But here was a guy who did well. He quit when he should have and knew the answer sort of. But I still felt like doing this for him. I just was very touched with the way he has been brought up and very educated. I like youngsters who are so well mannered and well informed. And I'm not being patronizing but Rahul was a great contestant to play with," says Khan. Tuesday, April 10, 2007 |
