KBC News - Week 3: Over 75 lakhs won this week! |
Catch up on the highlights from week 3 on KBClive This week began with twenty year old Vishal Malavya from Vapi. Playing absolutely brilliantly and largely on instinct Vishal went home with 25 lakhs. At the end of game, he was quite dejected as when he decided to leave the game, the answer he had given was the correct one. Knowing that he could have had 50 lakhs he was quite disappointed. But one of the highlights of the show was definitely SRK and him praying with Vishal's lucky charm as well as SRK's chat with Vishal about the various WWE wrestlers. Next replacing Malavya was Hyderabad's Vasant Balakrishnan who had come with hopes of going to Las Vegas to gamble with his 2 crores. Like Vishal, for a young participant, Vasant played very well. Answering on knowledge and logic, he surely and steadily reached 25 lakhs. With similar personalities - cool, calm and collected - Vasant and SRK looked reflections of one another. When Vasant left the game with his 25 lakhs, V.V.L. Raju took his place. An editor of a magazine, Raju and Khan discussed the importance of spreading knowledge amogst the younger generation of today. From teaching his local lingo to SRK to kissing the computer on regular basis – Raju sure had to do a lot of hard work for that money! But considering the name of Raju's magazine is 'Start Winning Today', it's no surprise either that this Hyderabadi also took home a cool 25 lakhs. In a span of an hour we saw Raju - the rollover contestant from the previous show and two new contestants Madhulata Tamrakar and Shrinivas Rao all try their hand at winning the coveted 2 crores. But sadly none of them could do so. The episode began with Raju who tried to increase his existing booty of 25 lakhs but couldn't and therefore decided to quit. Next on the seat was the teacher from Madhya Pradesh - Madhulata. The situation seemed to make her nervous or was it plain bad luck but she couldn't get very far in the game too and left with 40,000 rupees. And the third contestant of the evening, tax commissioner - Shrinivas Rao, who got the 8th answer wrong and crashed to 20,000 rupees. The third week of Kaun Banega Crorepati has surely been very exciting as it showed us all the different facets of this game – fun yet serious, intelligent yet entertaining and like most money making opportunities it was treacherous.
