The pace of the show has gone to shit. In the first month of the show, so much happened and every episode was of equal importance. We used to get atleast 4/5 good episodes in the week before but now we get 1/5 good episodes on a good week. Also doesn’t seem to me like there was any progress in the story post the revelation track for Viaan other than the fact that Katha might have started seeing him a little differently after all of his mahanta acts and Viaan realizing his love for Katha which is really not much considering its been two months post the actual revelation track. Thus, I watch only the episodes that people say are good on this forum otherwise there is nothing new to see in every episode.

Putting down my honest thoughts here please don’t be offended but I do not like the way they have dealt with Viaan’s redemption track. I was expecting him to be volunteering at a temple or helping people in need, teaching kids the right path, giving speeches at charities or corporate events about his own experiences and mistakes and just doing deeds to pay for his own mistakes after realizing it but there really was no redemption other than a 360 degree change in his character after having learned the wrong that he did to Katha. I know he helped dodo with her problems and helped katha find her son but that’s not because he was repenting but because of the fact that he likes Katha or because makers are trying to show how righteous he is. The only scene I have liked the most in the last 2 months is Viaan realizing that he is in love but I like that scene as a standalone as well and could care less about the rest of that episode. In a nutshell, the show has become very boring and just stretching at this point.

Yesterday's episode was showing Katha's dilemma in detail. We can totally understand why she is afraid of taking this role.

She is not sure if she is even right for the job as she herself was a victim in a similar situation, which would make her obviously turn in favor of Shamita.

However, her recent findings about Viaan's past and the lonavala trip, she has definitely gotten to know the guy a lot more than as a person who'd pay a female employee for sex. No she can't say that anymore, as she has seen his repentance after he got to know Aarav's ailment.

But this allegation has definitely shook her up, as all that happened during that helpless scenario came back to her. Still, she is unable to assume that Viaan would have done this now. Thus trying her best to neutral and non judgemental.

Viaan may not be wrong here, but he did this once before. So he is unable to look in the eye and say to Katha that I'm completely innocent. He can only state he is innocent this time. So he is also encouraging her to take the role and do what she think is right.

Let's see how this goes.

Thank you for pointing this out... Because I also felt that there's no pace left, just over stretching... This allegations track doesn't seem going good for me... And I don't think at this pace it will be over even by next week...

Even everyone can agree that how engaging the episodes were before when the DT got completed within a week and now many have lost interest ... Even I watch the show fast forwarding katha scenes because that irritates me a bit now, like, what are you confused of and why taking so much time... Either do something or just don't..

Also sudden change in ehsan seems a bit fishy and if that's a true change of heart then I don't know who is the creative incharge at production where they just do things out of nowhere suddenly.

Hoping the show gets any better soon...

tell me about it! I feel the makers swung the pendulum in wanting to be realistic and forgot the drama in tv serials need to be amplied to max with heavy music (such as dhoom tana tana) and tight editing. they need to make us tune in where we are curious to see what happens in next episode. right now, it feels like more a sitcom (real life type feels) where there is no urgency to watch. even if you skip a number of episodes, you can still know what happens if you just peek in for five minutes. I don't know if anyone is on birdie but I would love if we can send a compiled list of our grievances to the makers so they can get better!

feel free to keep adding to list that you would like to see different. (if anyone is on birdie, can you post this to makers handle?) --

Katha Ankahee used to be fun dramatic but it is boring that we don't have much to discuss. Here is feedback from members on India Forums. Can you please change the following:

1. Add some dramatic music to the conflict scenes so we are in the edge of the seat. All this soft sad music is great only for crying scenes

2. We want old Viaan back -- the one who felt like a live wire and we were curious about his internal thoughts

3. Unless Dodo is the gold digger mistress (of viaan) and her sons are viaan's half brothers, we are not interested in these social service episodes of viaan. boring!

4. If Earthcon is focused on sustainability and inspired by Indian heritage, please reflect that in the office decor as well as the employees clothes. Please visit some real office to see what clothes people are wearing -- there are kurtis, salwars and even saris! Prints, bold colours and plenty of eye catching wardrobe.

5. No one wears synthetic nylon mono-coloured tops everyday like they are auditioning to be a traffic signal -- Katha's wardrobe is the most boring of any FL we have seen and we don't buy that an architect has no money to update her wardrobe with some basic cotton kurtis that would look far more jazzy.

I feel that what attracted most people to this show in the beginning was the unique concept of what brought the two main characters together: the fateful night. I am not someone who watches a lot of Hindi serials due to it mostly being saas bahu drama. However, I saw the promo on TV in which Viaan proposes the ONS to Katha. I was so shocked that ITV would even present a concept in which the two main characters are physical with each other, even during the beginning of the show! That's when I decided to watch KA. As expected, the episode of the ONS and the aftermath of it were brilliant. In fact, the ONS episode is one of the best episodes on ITV in my opinion, due to the sensitive manner it was shot. Also, I remember that there were many passionate conversations in the forum about the ethics and morals of this ONS transaction, and these discussions were so interesting!!

I was drawn to this show due to its intensity; there was a certain grey element to it that other ITV shows lacked. However, I feel that this intensity has faded away now. I am still regularly watching the show because I don't want to give up on it. But I do feel that without the intense, dark element to it, KA just feels different from how it used to be. Like how others said, I feel that Viaan's redemption track wasn't as powerful as the makers thought it would be; they are completely changing his core personality, which results in him being quite repetitive. I can't believe that this is the same show which presented such bold concepts in the beginning.

Also, let's be real; I know that the whole forum used to be roasting Viaan and his actions in the beginning, but his unpredictability was what made him so interesting !! 😂 😂

Hehe with this sanitised version of viaan , I think he will forgive shamita by giving her some life gyaan lol. Strangely I m liking this Ehsaan standing up for his bhai .. I just hope bhai stands up for himself..

I like the pace and track currently in the show. I would not say that post lonavala trip there were not few boring episodes. There were quite a few where I also expected something good but it was missing. However I do not agree with such strong criticism of the show. Not every episode can be a high on drama and please adding dramatic music and dramatic twists and turns. I would suggest you better watch ekta kapoor sort of shows like BALH2 for that. If this was such show , we would have surely expected a leap in the show at later part too :P . I agree on certain points though.

- yes dodo's story lacked that connection with viewers, I feel that there was no continuity in her story/character building, Initially they showed her as a donor who is boasting about her children and her children not calling her. But the backdrop could have been better , there could have been a really heart touching story with some good actors as his sons and some better confrontations between them to make us relate with Dodo more. It was all rushed in one week and felt disconnected on how easily everything got solved.

- I liked the current track as it came at the right point, unless this track was coming the love confession track seemed to be utterly stupid. But now it makes sense, Viaan had to reach a point where he had to be in his utter happy happy zone to just fall down in one second. in front of the very person he was all ready to show his feelings too.

- I respect the viewers sentiment, its not wrong if some of you are not liking the show , it is your choice to not like it. But i believe every writer needs to be given a chance to tell their story without really falling into this TRP or viewers feedback. They know these characters and I am really surprised on how they have played with Viaan's character so far. With someone here saying that he did not get enough in redemption track, I feel that even with one apology scene episode, he made such an impact that most people sympathize with him and hoped Katha forgave him soon. That is because they have shown him as person with a conscience from the very start even in ONS.
