Ehsan should not become a negative character. There's no love angle right now to even support that transition into negative zone. So, if he wants to pursue Katha he can.

Why stoop so low? Why spike Viaan's drink and put him in an embarrassing situation? Why does he think that the path to winning Katha is via humiliating and degrading Viaan?

Don't make Ehsan do things that he can't come back from. Don't make him irredeemable.

He could have been the perfect foil for Katha and Viaan's intense love story. They should not turn him into just another vamp.

my guess is they want to show us that you can't judge a book by its cover. someone who seems polite may not be that way. it is becoming more clear that ehsaan is rather insecure person and hates being outshone. now, it could just be a life stage existential crisis. I joked earlier in the day that maybe he got some realization that he is now on the marriage market.

perhaps we were so taken by viaan that we didn't see it earlier -- it isn't just about katha. but rather ehsaan can't bear to have the attention not be on him even if it is anyone else in the party. I feel that his jovial nature in some ways is fake. he plays it hard but somehow people don't take to it like he hopes.

so in the end, despite viaan being moody and morose, it is viaan that people look up to in the office, it is viaan that people are affectionate with and it is viaan that coworkers asked to dance. ehsaan thinks of himself as fun but no one was asking ehsaan to light up the dance floor.

and ehsaan was literally acting like a teenager. so during the dance, he tried to take charge of the dance floor but no one including viaan wanted to follow his moves. instead, they were happy to keep dancing the moves they had been doing. so ehsaan wanted to ruin the night -- it also shows his lack of genuine affection for jeetu bhai as well.

this is a special night for jeetu bhai and his wife. why would you try to make sure that a coworker gets drunk? if you had any concern, you would instead be walking around to ensure no one is falling flat and ruining a special party.

so his problem is not just limited to gaining katha's attention but rather his problem is that he is always sidelined by viaan even when viaan is not trying at all. so there is a lot of supressed animosity that has nothing to do with viaan but rather ehsaan himself. so perhaps rather than the makers trying to make viaan better by blackening ehsaan, maybe they are trying to show that sometimes your so called friends aren't really.

katha is the trigger but not the reason. Ehsaan just likes being the center of attention and in many cases, he was but no one takes seriously. It is viaan who everyone respects and admires, so now that he is taking center stage in many other areas, Ehsaan cannot tolerate it. it is pent up frustration and insecurity that is coming to the surface.

Viaan is a natural leader, he exudes charisma without trying wheras Ehsaan is a try-hard.

You are probably right about Katha having another POV but I still feel that it wasn't necessary. No issue if Viaan got drunk naturally. He was enjoying and lost his senses in front of his team and Katha. A person who behaves in a dignified way was embarrassed in front of others....this bothers me. I don't want Viaan to fall again....especially not in front of Katha. The vulnerability bothered me a lot.

There are many people who act as friend only till the point they are the one getting all the attention.

Despite contributing more in work ,due to his social skills ,Ehsaan was the one getting attention

So now when Vian was getting attention he showed his true colors and yes its not about just Katha

I still can't digest the fact that someone can actually drug their childhood best friend like that. Viaan literally has no good person around him. All he had was Ehsan (his so called best friend) and MamaR who might have had an influence on Viaan's mindset about women. It's just sad that he has no shoulder to cry on.

Ehsan definitely felt the pinch of sponsoring this party. Seems like he is overly attached to material things but does not have much of a say when it comes to the running of the company. He keeps his grievances bottled up within, and it seems like a great resentment has been building up.

No matter what he does, he comes second best to Viaan. Katha's interest for Viaan has pushed Ehsan over the edge.

am not sure if ehsan is materialistic but rather his problem is that spotlight isn't on him. because it was viaan who came up with the idea and viaan who called the event planner and viaan who told jeetu bhai about a party -- viaan naturally ended up becoming extra special in jeetu bhai's eyes. now if viaan had told ehsaan, then rather a joint front, ehsaan would have 100% tried to make it seem like it was his idea and how much he loves jeetu bhai in order to look good in everyone's eyes.

it feels like ehsaan was constantly competing but viaan is not aware. if I think back to the first episode, ehsaan had tried to negotiate with mr. beard but they wanted to meet only viaan. (at least that is my vague memory, could be totally wrong). so everywhere they go, viaan is taken far more seriously even though viaan doesn't mean to. perhaps it is because viaan for all his flaws is a much more sincere person -- so he is sincere even in his ugly qualities.

am starting to wonder if ehsaan was one of those lizard type friends -- you know the one who attaches to you in school and tries to get attention through you? maybe they had no choice but to be friends because their fathers were business partners? but I think ehsaan enjoys lording over viaan and being the support friend because it makes him feel important. so when viaan is indepedent, he needs to break him down in front of others to boost himself up.
