does the number of new thread/posts really matter? I thought posts and comments under a post have the same weightage in terms of how the rankings are determined?
There's five sections that matter and only three sections that we can heavily impact by ourselves. We're already doing amazing in ratings (higher than number one ranking forum tbh) and absolutely dreadful in Views and Activity, basically engagement in new threads.
Buzz we can't directly impact unless we have an article or video from IF and Followers is just hard to heavily impact. Each follower just gives us one more point😭 but still please follow if you're already not doing so!
I dont mind. I am actually enjoying this slow burn. Because of the by & large good writing, detailing and great acting, we are getting very nuanced scenes, gradual realisations creeping up on the leads & subtle non-dramatic behaviour, all of which is so much more realistic & refreshing compared to other shows. It is like reading an epic rather than a novel.
same! I actually feel the show isn't dragging but there is a clear outline of what they want to achieve and how they are laying it out. it feels planned and not like they are filling in stuff because they ran out of plot and they have no idea what to do -- so there is random kidnapping, goondas, fires, bombs... 🤣 incase anyone is wondering that is actually happening in a current ITV drama which for whatever reason is high up on IF ranking 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤷🤷
so I know how people are bored with garewals but I feel they serve an importance place in the story. katha is not a typical single woman. in the world of matrimonial ads -- she has 'issues' -- meaning children. and this also means she still has in-laws and those relatives are not going to randomly disappear. so in her case, how will starting a new romance impact those relationships and how they feel about her especially when they are just getting to know each other after a long gap? so there is a huge field of rich conflict for the writers to mine but they can't do that unless the audience gets to know the dynamics of the garewal household.
if the writers randomly introduce the characters after viaan and her start a romance, we will eye roll at why they are interfering. this happens a lot in ITV and we just get annoyed. so we have to like and dislike the Gfamily at the same time. we have to understand what makes them tick and their problems and see how those affect katha, aarav and viaan later.
the audience have to understand papaG's role and how he is not even aware that he is having issues with yuvraj. that will come out later and also impact aarav because right now aarav is the male heir after yuvraj. that is why reet is freaking out. so will papaG allow aarav to become the son of someone else? will he allow his future heir to leave the family threshold -- then what does it mean for the business. how will his conflict with yuvraj affect katha as he was mad at aditya earlier?
papaG has only accepted aarav after a long gap of being angry with adity and katha. now that he has regained aarav, will he and mamaG be happy to have katha remarry? how will they accomodate viaan when their relationship with katha is still on the mend and not yet fully functional? so many angles this can play out
we have reet who is insecure after growing up in a house where girls are not valued. as a housewife, she is not content and does not feel a sense of achievement. she feels inferior to katha who is working woman. so how will she react when she finds out about how katha raised the money? how will that impact katha and her relationships with them? will that adversely then affect her relationship with viaan? or will they question her ability to raise aarav?
so my point is that Gfamily are there for a reason. not randomly placed and their scenes have great nuance. like bana said, this is more like 500 page epic which scans seasons and multiple characters. I remember my first epic novel that I read as a young girl -- "the far pavilions". has anyone read that book? I was genuinely confused at the number of chracters but then all of them would pop in later and create twists and turns that I didn't expect.
so lets look at all these world building that way -- instead of just building a story about leads like ITV typical does and then running out of story, here, they are building us a universe of all these characters and even minor recurring characters will have a role to play in growth and development of the leads.
through it all, there is a central theme here typing it all together -- conflict resolution among family members and what happens after a storm. this isn't a typical romance but rather about two mature individuals in their 30s who have history and people and how that affects their relationship and their way to love.
so thats why I would say we are not seeing gaps in writing (as of yet) and instead, the pacing feels very deliberate. it is just something we may not be used to seeing within typical ITV. it may not be for everyone. so folks can make the choice to dip in and dip out or keep tuning in and seeing how it develops slowly. I am still hopeful that this will be a drama for me to really love and enjoy.

If birdie people are getting frustrated then it's a win for the writers 😆 They were so so against katha viaan together after the ONS.. from that to now actually wanting to see them interacting.. writers ne itna bore kiya that people are actually demanding that now.. smart 😆
kekeke... I feel like writers were waiting for birdie people to join the romance train so that they don't get stones and stuff like "how can you encourage victim to fall in love with her abuser?" -- in the current climate, writers have to take their time or audience goes into hyper drive for no reason at all and staring using all the big fashionable words of the day (which they have no understanding of really). 🤦♀️🤷
We all may not have liked her dress but Viaan went all
